Journey, Not A Destination

Steve, I am reading (sort of) Fats that Heal, Fats that Kill, and finding some good stuff in there. Its sad about degenerative diseases and diet.

"One woman in California lost 80 pounds of excess fat by adding 3 tablespoons per day of fresh flax oil to her dietary program. She had been eating relatively nutritious foods for some time, without effect. The addition of the flax oil was the missing key for her. Weight watchers may find it hard to believe, but here is a "fat" that can make fats burn more rapidly.

I am going to buy some more flax seed oil for my breakfast shakes.

Thanks for the recommendation.

It is a good book, glad you are enjoying it.

Yet I must say it is so BIZARRE pouring liquid fat in to my blender.

I have to tell myself the extra calories won't hurt.

Well, they will hurt your progress in terms of weight loss if they don't fit into your caloric goal.

Too much of anything is a problem in terms of weight loss.

That is why I always say, first determine your caloric goal. Then fill that caloric goal with your protein requirements first, then your fat requirements. Once you do that, you can fill the remainder with whatever you want, keeping protein static.

Morning Beth. I will only be working 2 days this week! I am in heaven. :)

What do you do for a living? I should have asked you that when you asked me the same thing...BTW, got a new job and I'm pretty stoked. Same position, better pay, and better opportunity to move up

I am currently the manager of a financial advising firm. I am also a licensed broker.

I used to be a personal trainer, but needed more money. Eventually I want to move into online training, but who knows when that will happen.

I was not going to ride the financial planning thing out long at all. However, I am not in works of creating an agreement where a good friend and myself will be buying the firm over a 10 year period. If all goes as planned, it will be a very nice deal.

VERY COOL! Buff and RICH! hehe:D

Maybe I can get some advice from you about my 401K and mutual funds. You can tell me if I'm doing things right for my goals...
