Journey, Not A Destination

Good morning. So far this one is better than yesterday for me. I took a break on everything yesterday. I gained a lb for my troule too. Oh well!!:D

Breaks every now and again are good, psychologically and physiologically. Don't sweat it!

Quote of the Day

I can't remember if I shared this one yet or not.

"I AM - the two most powerful words in the world, for whatever we put after them becomes our reality."

I have done great things with my life in terms of reaching goals and I owe it all to affirmative thinking.

Good morning Steve!

I have reached a plateau...part of it earlier was due to my not eating right for a couple of days. But now, I'm back on track, and my weight still not going down. I haven't been starving myself...I've been eating 1600 or 1700 calories everyday (occasionally a little more).

Should I try a day or two a week with lower calories? Or up the exercise a little more. I know you say diet is more important for weight loss, so what should I do with my calories?

How long has the plateau been here? Remember, weight loss will not be linear. But a plateau shouldn't last more than a few weeks. I mean it can, but I usually opt to throw some curveballs into the mix to jump-start things.

It's lasted about a month. I've been between 152 and 149 mainly, but the last couple weeks it's been between 150 and 151. Give me a for instance on the curveball thing. Please:)

Good morning Steve...lucky you to have such a short work week....mine is a tad shorter....I'm taking Friday off (with pay no less! :D ) and we're going to the Padres home opener that night. :)

Glad to hear your fishing trip was a success! Have a good day!

This is great. How do you plan on tracking your nutrition?

I plan to use slim fast nutrition tracker.

It is the easiest way for me .

Thanks again, Steve

Well first, what exactly does your training look like?

And are you getting your proteins and EFAs in?

Morning Beth. I will only be working 2 days this week! I am in heaven. :)

Steve, I am reading (sort of) Fats that Heal, Fats that Kill, and finding some good stuff in there. Its sad about degenerative diseases and diet.

"One woman in California lost 80 pounds of excess fat by adding 3 tablespoons per day of fresh flax oil to her dietary program. She had been eating relatively nutritious foods for some time, without effect. The addition of the flax oil was the missing key for her. Weight watchers may find it hard to believe, but here is a "fat" that can make fats burn more rapidly.

I am going to buy some more flax seed oil for my breakfast shakes.

Thanks for the recommendation.
