Journey, Not A Destination

As far as my workouts, I can feel that I am more stable when doing certain exercises. Free weights are definately helping my core, and my coordination. I am more flexible from stretching, and squats and stuff are getting easier. As are most of the exercises, except the new ones!
As for losing weight, I have lost 6 lbs in the last month. I kind of went off track as far as eating goes, but got back on, then yesterday I went off again(not too bad, I just get depressed and then I dont feel like eating)
And this morning I haven't had much of anything to eat. I need to get back on track with that because I was doing really great.
Give me a kick in the butt steve!

I would, but your booty is all the way on the other side of the country! :p

And it seems like you don't need a kick in the bootay, 6 lbs this month is something to be proud of!

:) haha thanks. It was all within like two weeks though. But then i gained 2lbs back and then lost it last week. Now I need to get moving for this week!
I need someone to yell at me.
I think I will do my workout at home today while granna is sleeping, and then walk for cardio.
:)

Your diary has been fun to read today, Steve :) I don't think I'll ever get to reading all those earlier pages I missed.

Serious question ....

I've started trying to get my protein intake up, and I've improved it by taking more care over what I eat, and I'm also drinking one protein shake a day. (I have further to go yet, but I need to adjust my diet to compensate for the extra calories in the protein shakes.) The question is, is it better to have the protein shake before or after I go to the gym, or doesn't it matter? I've been having it as a mid-morning snack when I get back, but I could change to breakfast time if that was better.

Haha, but the beginning is where all the good stuff was. But I guess "good" is relative.

I prefer to drink my protein shake after the gym. Actually, I drink half of it while I work out, and the other half immediately upon finishing. Then I have a solid meal about an hour after the shake.

Check it out

Hi Steve! (and readers). If you would like to see some pretty pictures I took, i started a thread in "Off Topic" called Photography Show Offs. But it's for anyone who wants to share visual art. Take a gander! :D I'm alerting Photocrazed and Tom now...

Quote of the Day

"Four short words sum up what has lifted most successful individuals above the crowd: a little bit more. They did all that was expected of them and a little bit more."

i like that quote - that came in my inspirational quote email a few days ago :) it's a good one.. your method of delivery is way better than an email though :)

Hi Steve! I have a question for you. How often should you (or I) workout per day? I am seeing good definition now, but I can't seem to lose down under 150. I exercise 5 days a week now and do all that I am supposed to. So what the heck is the matter with me that I am not losing down? I am not asking for 10lbs in 1 week! But 1 lb a week would be nice. What am I doing wrong?

How many cals are you eating?

One workout session per day is fine. Unless you want to split up resistance training and cardio sessions, which is fine too.
