Journey, Not A Destination

whoa! 4 liters?!

that's awesome.

i have gotten to where i pretty much only drink water. every now and then at dinner i will add a crystal lite thing to it, and occasionally (not everyday) i will have one of those mini diet dr. pepper cans (8 oz), but other than that, it's only water for me, too! :)

On a typical, good day I drink about between 70 and 100 oz. Not sure how much that is when translated to liters. It's gotten pretty easy too; I used to have to force it down.

Heya Steve! *waves

That's great. There are 33.8 ounces in one liter. I think.

Hey Steve :)

Got a question... have you heard of and if so, what do you think of the velocity diet, especially an opinion of women doing it?

It is, IMO, an extreme diet. I don't really see a need for it. Where did you read about it?

I was reading from t-nation as well. Plus, a friend of mine is gearing up to do it and has me intrigued. That bad huh?

I wouldn't do it myself. Too extreme. If anything, maybe to get fat loss rolling, but I wouldn't use it for any appreciable length of time. And if I was going to do some low/no carb approach for a short period of time to chase fast weight loss results, I would probably use something like th PSMF, protein sparing modified fast.

Either way, you are looking at an "un-fun" way of eating IMO. And I surely don't think it is something that anyone should follow for a long period of time.

Sure would be nice not having to cook and think about meals for the week though, lol. I agree, un-fun would be putting it mildly, but still.... hhhmmm

I think PSMF is a little bit more extreme than VD, since VD allows for more cals from what I understand.

If I were going to do something "un-fun", I would go all out and do PSMF. But to go through that, I would need a pretty good reason for.

Figure I will continue with what I am doing, since it is still working for me, just assume I will hit a wall at some point and exploring different ideas. Thanks for the advice :) I will look into PSMF as well as long as I am looking at punishing myself, lol. Sorry for hijacking :)

There is no hijacking in this journal, since I don't really keep anything personal here. It is kind of an extension of the forum, or at least that is what it seems like at times. :)
