Journey, Not A Destination

So I suppose I was banned by Sean for starting my own forum and linking to it here on his forum. A heads up would've been nice rather than just banning me. But I know where I stand in terms of his opinion. He has made that blatantly clear in the past on more than one occasion.

I'm not here to piss and moan... it is what it is.

If he's okay with me remaining here with a new user id and without the moderator hat, great. I'd still like to stay and help where I can. If he doesn't want me here and decides to ban my IP address... so be it.

Not much I can do about it.

If people are still interested in contacting me if he decides to ban me, you can email me at stroutman81@yahoo.com.

Update: I've been banned for reasons that aren't important at this point. It's been a fun ride and I appreciate all those who've put up with me over the years. I've made a lot of good friends and really enjoyed the conversations. For anyone who doesn't have my contact information, you can certainly email me at stroutman81@yahoo.com.

Best to you.

Last night I was supposed to do some hill sprints but my legs were beyond sore and the weather was pretty crappy. In it's place I did a lot of hip mobility work and went for buffalo wings, lol.

The hip mobility work consisted of:

Quadruped Hip Circles
Pigeon Stretch
Fire Hydrants
90-90 Stretch

I really like your journal's tittle because that is exactly where I am at: in a journey, not a quick trip. learning how to live healthy and exercise regularly rather than focusing on my weight loss target is sometimes tough but I know health comes first.

also I love all the exercise you do! and the quotes you add. very inspirational
have a great day!

Big workout tonight.

Bench Press 2x5, 1x10
Incline DB Press 3x13
Cable Flys 2x10

BB Curls 1x15

Spent.

One moment of patience may ward off great disaster. One moment of impatience may ruin a whole life.

If I had a formula for bypassing trouble, I would not pass it round. Trouble creates a capacity to handle it. I don't embrace trouble; that's as bad as treating it as an enemy. But I do say meet it as a friend, for you'll see a lot of it and had better be on speaking terms with it.

This was a good weekend. The weather was phenomenal. Friday I went to Atlantic City. Saturday I did some hiking then had a family picnic which was a lot of fun. Sunday Gordy and I finalized the gym as best we could. There's still a lot of work to be done, but the Body Improvements Gym is finally open for business today... which is very exciting.

I took some shots while we were working yesterday. That's my idea of a real gym. There's more to be done, much more. And more equipment is on the way. But you won't find machines there.

Thanks for the congratulations everyone... means the world.

lol :p

Great workout tonight.

Overhead Press 2x3, 1x8
Weighted Dips 3x10
Flat DB Press 2x10
Chest Supported Rows 3x12
Close Grip Pulldowns 2x12
Triceps and Biceps

LOL! I didn't see your post about the gym till you'd posted again. (My action on this board is pretty limited.)

However, I do think it's pretty thrilling that you have a gym open now. You have so much going right for you these days that it's really quite phenomenal.

CONGRATULATIONS!

I hope your first day was wonderful.

Great workout yesterday.

Deadlifts 2x3, 1x12
Assisted GHRs 3x10
Leg Press 5x13
Bar Rollouts 3x10

May not look like much, but if you want a kick ass workout... have a go at this! And I should say, if anyone ever has any questions about my training, feel free to ask.

Blog updated with a random thought that was bouncing around my head from a conversation earlier today.

Great Job Steve. :)

May I ask for some help please?

lol

I was wondering if you could pop in my diary{Time2Change...Stacy's Journey}
and check out my Toning Routine and Circuit Training.

My Q is:

With what you will see, Can I do that everyday for 6 days and on the 7th day rest?

Or, do I need to skip a day and walk or something to let my body rest?

Thanks so much for anything you have to add/share.

:hug2:

Hiya Stacy. :)

Your circuit training is something you could get away with doing 6 days per week, most likely.

If you start to feel run down though, simply back off a bit.

Also, you might want to replace some of the circuit training sessions with some form of steady state or interval cardio. Reason: It tends to be a little more calorically expensive which is important at the stage you're at.

Thanks 4 gettin' back to me so quickly. ;)

I have a great Disco Sweat dvd that is very powerful. He starts with low interval cardio , goes to medium, then high. (yes, I love Mr. Richard Simmons :biggrinjester: )

Would this be a good choice as a replacement?

Thanks so much Steve!

Yer awesome.

:)

Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got a hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.

Weather is pretty crappy today but it's Friday! I'm heading to the gym this afternoon so Gordy and I can get some of the things knocked off of our to-do list. We have a list of about 25 things that need to get finalized.

We ordered 100 t-shirts, uniform shirts, and a few hats. I'm excited for them to come in.

No big plans this weekend, which I'm extremely excited about. I might see if my dad wants to go fishing. My uncle had a stroke... makes you really value the time you have with the loved ones... and I think it scared my dad quite a bit. He's not the type of guy to think about the fragility of time.

Hope everyone is well.

That almost brought me to tears!

I'm sorry about your Uncle, those things really do bring you down to earth though. I hope you get to go on that fishing trip, it'll be nice.

And late Congrats!!:coolgleamA:

Thanks very much. :)

Haven't seen you around in a while. Or maybe it's b/c I haven't been around as much either. Either way, nice to hear from you.
