The sad thing is I still have a ton of friends who are in serious relationships, getting older and are bound to pop the question soon. I don't see the wedding craziness stopping anytime soon in my world.

I'd say only a handful of the people I know got married in my generation b/c they knew, without a doubt, that they were settling down with the right person.

That's kind of stupid for me to say b/c I don't really believe in The Right Person.

But I do believe that you can tell if you're marrying someone who you truly love and can be with for eternity (assuming all things constant) and I also believe that many, many people in our generation just do it 'because.'

I agree with that. I feel a lot of people get married because they feel they have to... Here in UT, you can probably imagine with the predominant religion, everybody gets married, and then has a bunch of kids, sometimes pretty early. Many of my close friends are now married and it's alright i guess... I can't imagine any of them ever getting divorced but if you look at the statistics they aren't really on their side.... I guess, personally, I'm lucky to not even have the option yet, at least here in UT... lol :)

Ahh that Widowmaker set sounds tough. I hate it when my legs are so sore it's hard to walk or sit down, lol... Back when I was with my trainer he had me doing some pretty killer leg workouts, at least I thought... I haven't been training my legs that tough for awhile... Something about how intense the quad can burn when your training it, like someone's got a blowtorch on it, lol... I know I'm not doing myself any favors by neglecting them though.

Good luck at the rehearsal dinner. Hope everything goes smoothly :)

We haven't had a bad winter in years. I sincerely hope we have one this year. I'd like to get buried in in the new house. It's so peaceful and remote down there.

My best bud tells me we're going to get tons of snow. How he knows you ask?

Everything always goes his way. It's quite true too. I've known him since I was 2 and the dice always roll in his favor. It will probably catch up to him someday but you can't blame him for his luck. Anyhow, he recently started up a landscaping business on the side of an already lucrative career. He purchased a truck and a snow plow for the winter months. I told him he's silly, we don't get winters that need plows around here anymore. He explained how his purchase will change all of that.

I don't doubt it.

The Farmer's Almanac is predicting we'll get a cold winter with more snow than normal, and they are usually pretty spot on. So your friend's charmed existance doesn't look to be changing any time soon..lol.

Hiya Sam, thanks for stopping in. :)

The whole getting married just because you feel external pressure or because it's the logical next step is just so silly to me. I mean, this is someone you're committing yourself to for the rest of your life. I suppose nobody really thinks along those lines anymore though since divorce is just another day, just like any other. If things don't work out, they split ways and that's that in their minds.

Boy do I know what you mean. I've been so bad before where it hurt to sit down. But standing up hurt worse. I wanted to be in zero gravity so bad, lol.

Today I'm a good sore. I could go out and run if I had to so it's not all that bad given the fact I did the widowmakers yesterday.

Well I hope he and it is right. :)

So I will not be around tomorrow more than likely. Waking up for an early morning tee time, then drinking some booze to loosen up the groom, then wedding.

Hope you all have good Fridays.

I know you're probably out enjoying yourself... but, I hope you REALLY have a good time at the golf/drinking/wedding extravaganza!

The wedding was fun. Started with golf first thing in the morning, which is always fun. Then a bunch of partying, typical wedding BS. It was a very draining day. The rest of this weekend I look forward to being productive with a number of things I need to get done.

While I was gone the blog blew up with views. I looked and saw Lyle mentioned our website on his blog... so I'm thankful for that.

Besides that, nothing exciting to report.

Hi Steve, Good to hear you had a good time with the wedding and pre-wedding festivities.

I bookmarked your blog and enjoyed the interview with Lyle. Looking forward to more good reads and info from you.

Have a good weekend!
