Journey, Not A Destination

Hey Steve, your jeep must have some pretty big "meats" on it to cost $300 a tire!! But the Z tires run a pretty penny, too.... (we own a jeep and a Z also....)

Yea, I have big 33 inch tires on the Jeep, offroad tires with the big meaty tread on it.

And yea, the Z tires ain't too cheap either!

If you have Discount Tire in PA, they do tire repairs for FREE! ( you do not have had to have bought your tires there) Of course you are screwed if the hole is in the sidewall...*sigh* Hope you figure it out and it's a cheap fix....

Somebody definitely sat there and let the air out of my tires politely, if that's possible. There ended up being no holes. I filled them back up yesterday morning and they've held since.

Guess someone had it out for me.

I stayed up real late last night with a bat next to the door but unlucky for me.... they didn't come back.

I don't know if I will ever doubt you again...

Just bought myself a foam roller. I feel so good I'm worried I'm going to ninja-hump people on the way out to my car.

Hahahaha, I told ya homie.

Foam rolling works miracles..... it has for me and everyone I have had use it at least.

Glad it's working for you.

I find it hard to believe you'd ever get on the wrong side of people :) that actually was meant to sound sincere but I'm having trouble with the appropriate smilie :)

Probably just some teenager out pranking...

Yea, I don't mind getting hit randomly with mischief really. Especially when it causes no real damage. I was a kid once too.

But I don't like the fact that they hit me two nights in a row. I'm not a fan of being targeted like that.

But no harm no foul I suppose.... it's just a pain going out in the bitter cold to blow up my tires.

Now wouldn't that be a bitch if you hid near the door with your bat and you saw your favorite neighbor, the old man who wants you to drink with him all the time, bending over and letting out the air in your tires? Reason being: Steve, that little monkey, never comes over to drink with me anymore! ;) jk
Hopefully the "mischief" comes to a halt, because that's really not cool.

PS My box has been sent priority mail
as of 9am today. You should get it Monday

Hahahaha, that mental image of that is pretty hilarious. It did stop thankfully and I'm over it.

Quote of the day

"I count him braver who overcomes his desires than him who conquers his enemies; for the hardest victory is the victory over self."

"To believe in the things you can see and touch is no belief at all. But to believe in the unseen is both a triumph and a blessing."

A few buildings burned down in the town where I live over the weekend. I watched it unfold and it certainly was a wake up call. The first floor of the buildings were businesses and the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors were apartments. Needless to say, it was catastrophic.

It's not something I think about often but I think it would be wise to at least have some sort of disaster plan in place at your home if such a scenario ever arises.

The people who lived in these buildings were going nuts b/c they couldn't do a damn thing but watch their lives melt away.

It's something most people don't think about until it's too late...

Oh yea, and I think after my next cut I'd like to start training for parkour. For those of you who don't know what it is, it's basically moving your body from point A to point B in the most efficient manner. Many guys have made it a sport though and it's quite amazing in my eyes.

Here's an example:

There are much better videos but that's the first that popped up.

Incredible stuff... I'm drawn to it.

Isn't it awesome!?

I need to lighten up though if I am going to even attempt it. When I cut down to like 185 I feel so more mobile. When I get up around 200 I can feel that I'm much more 'able.'

We'll see.

I get the feeling that no matter where your weight is -you're still quite agile and light on your feet... videos please when you've mastered it - even the outtakes would be cool to see...

I think, IF I ATTEMPT THIS, I'll put the journey on my website-to-come. It's going to take a lot of training.... I just have to decide if I want to take time away from physique improvement and spend more time on ability. Right now I'm leaning towards doing it though.

the physique improvement you can do at anypoint -you're pretty improved right now... and the time spent training on it wouldn't be wasted...

eh - you'll do what you'll do... and have fun in the process.. .just don't hurt anything important or even semi important :) (and wear a helmet :D

That's the other thing.....

On the vids, parkour looks smooth and easy.

In reality though, learning it is dangerous and at the very least will involved a ton of minor injuries.

I can live with that.

But more than that I definitely do NOT want. I've had enough of them in my time to last the rest of my life.

are there places you can go to learn this craft or train for it? or is going to public places and hoping to not get caught part of the adventure?

No, I'd spend a lot of time in the gym before venturing outside. The gym where Gordy trains has a gymnast room with tons of mats and pads for this kind of stuff.

oooh have you signed up for the American Gladiators yet? Or are you waiting for season 3 - much to the disappointment of many :(

I actually have the app still sitting right here. I just don't know if I want to be part of the show or not. It's so lame that I think it could worsen my image, haha.

try out - you never know what could happen...

and if you make the cut (no reason why you wouldn't) then you can decide if you really want to do it or not...

Besides, I'ms ure the admins on this site would LOOOOVE to have an actual television star on their roster - especially one that can walk and talk and ya know give good advice :)
