Journey, Not A Destination

I'll be gone most of the day.... heading into the city in a few for meetings all day. Hope you all have enjoyable days!

I had a nice and relaxing weekend. The weather was real crappy which was incentive for me to go out and do some of my Christmas shopping. Got the wife done as well as the kids in the family. Still have a few friends to shop for and my parents. I think I'm getting them a new television.... theirs is ancient and it's time they had a flat panel.

Yesterday morning a gigantic tree fell on to my in-laws house. It was about 70 foot tall. Thankfully, believe it or not, damage was minimal considering it all. I mean, I'm sure there is tens of thousands of dollars of damage.... but it could have been much worse.

The funny thing is, about 2-3 years ago, an even bigger tree fell onto my parents home, doing something like 50k worth of damage.

I've now learned my lesson. When I build my next home (or buy), make sure there are no giant trees in falling distance!

Here's something you may not know about me. I own a video game console, lol. Xbox 360. I NEVER play it, and never is an understatement. But while I was out doing some shopping, I saw this new game that has been advertised on television quite a bit called Rock Band. It allows you to play the guitar, drums, and/or sing.

Let me tell you, it's the best party game ever. I had some people over on Saturday evening and get a few beers in you and it's a blast. It's like karaoke on steroids, lol.

Oh yea, and my Eagles finally got a win. A big one too.....

I'm feeling mentally and physically good.... body and mind is in a good place. I've been emphasizing flexibility work and it's doing wonders in terms of my mobility and form.

Doin' the wife for christmas is a lovely gift for both her ad you I'd imagine :) What'd ya get her? hard and sparkley? or soft and fluffy? (damn that sounded way dirtier tha I intended :D

body and mind is in a good place.

what a lovely giftt to give yourself :D

I was so pleased to see your Eagles spank the Cowgirls yesterday. Made me feel a little better after the Lions's heartbreaking loss against them last week. :) Maybe Jessica Simpson's presence jinxed them--that or they were too busy looking for her DDs in the stands...haha :smilielol5: Tony Romo is so not cute. :ack2:

Glad you're in a good place mentally these days. :)

I just clicked on your signature, and I must say, that I love that speech!!!

James has it downloaded, and he can say every single word of it!

Thanks for the link! :)

Way to go, Eagles! :D

I'm not real thrilled with my Steelers right now!

I can say every single word of it too. I have it on my ipod and sometimes listen to it while I lift. It doesn't matter how many times I hear it, it can always light a fire under my ass.

It's just very real, if you play football or not.

Yes, I agree!

I don't play football, and it pumps me up!

He has it on his iPod, too. We listened to it on a roadtrip the other day!

What are you talking about? A set of chiffon curtains or maybe even a pink short-sleeved Polo shirt would "light a flame under your ass."

And believe me, I don't miss you either, Glory Hole-Loving Gladiator.
