Journey, Not A Destination

Things are OK.

Weight is on the rise again finally. I had dropped down to 196, but I am at a steady 199 now in the morning. At night, I am 203-205.

that's great :D you're almost there right? i'm glad things are on the rise for you. you deserve the success hehe
 
what am I doing?

I just did a walk/jog for an hour, the last half hour straight jog. But I can't go fast enough to get my heart rate up, so is it doing any good?

I'm one of those people who do cardio to the point of excluiding resistance training (unless I get a bit in at a fitness class) and I wonder if I'm really seeing to my fat decreasing.
 
the world just never seems properly aligned when your diary is not on page 1 - but page 3? unacceptable... so nudge nudge nudge -and i'm gonna be like Sisyphus and keep pushing it up the hill...

Burning calories is burning calories, period. The idea is to do what you can manage now, and increase the intensity as time goes on and your conditioning improves.

Increase intensity via steady state cardio by increasing speed and/or time.

Once you reach 45-60 minutes with ease, it is safe to assume that IT and HIIT are now alternatives that you can consider.

If you can, you should, when it comes to resistance training.
