Join The FSD!

Oh my gosh...is it friday yet....hmmmm I will be putting in another 3 miles and lots of water before then....I'm excited to see if I'm back down this week. Only one more day! :D

Only One Pound

Hello, do you know me?
If you don’t, you should. I’m a pound of fat, and I am the happiest pound of fat you will ever meet. Want to know why?
It’s because no one ever wants to lose me; I’m ONLY ONE POUND, just a pound!
Everyone wants to lose three pounds, five pounds, or fifteen pounds, but never only one.
So I just stick around and happily keep you fat.
Then I add to myself, ever so slyly, so that you never seem to notice it.
That is, until I’ve grown to ten, twenty, thirty, or even more pounds in weight.
Yes, it’s fun being ONLY ONE POUND OF FAT, left to do as I please.
So, when you weigh in, keep right on saying, “oh, I only lost one pound.”
(As if that were such a terrible thing.)
For you see, if you do this you’ll encourage others to keep me around because they’ll think I’m not worth losing.
And, I love being around you - your arms, your legs, your chin, your hips and every part of you.

TOM is due but then so is my gas bill :p , meaning I don't think I am holding any extra fluid because today is the first day that I really feel like 9 lbs is gone and I can see it in the mirror.:D

Hello...I'm Kaitie and I'd like to join your club please. I'm not an obsessed scale-aholic but when I do weigh myself I tend to lose confidence.

I really want to stay motivated this time, especially for my extremely obese husband. I got him a trainer and now just need to make sure that I stay on track to losing weight as well---because I want to be a skinny minny.
 
Blitzed, that is a great poem and it is sooooo true. If you look at a lb of butter or lard, its a lot!!! Especially to lose in one week. Plus you haven't got much to lose now so it is bound to come of a bit slower. Fantastic job on the pound and especially staying positive!! You are an inspiration to us all.

I have put my weight loss in my diary, and am still going to change my ticker on a Friday, but I have decided to leave the FSD for the time being. I put too much pressure on myself, plus I will be weighing on the 1st for the July 10lb challenge.

I will miss the FSD, but I will still swing by to see how all you guys are doing ;)

Hi Mrs B....thanks for the kind words, I too was thinking of leaving FSD because on Thursday night the pressure is really on and last night all I dreamt of was how much I was going to weigh :eek: .....silly isn't it?

Maybe we should start a club where you just post your loss when you feel like it....be that 1 week or 1 month.:D

My goal weight is about 138 lbs, I was as low as 132lbs about 3 years ago and I felt fine...I have quite small bones as my wrist measurement is 15 cm and for my height 5.10.. thats quite small. I have small boobs too :eek: so no weight goes there.
 
Blitzed, my wrist is about the same, people always tell me that its okay for me to weigh more because I am big built, or have big bones .... but I haven't really :rolleyes: But I am lucky as my hubby tells me that I am probably carrying a good 3-4lbs in my bra :D

The last 10lbs, eh? How exciting!!:) I know you were :D ing but I would be quite interested in a club where we could weigh when we wanted to, but would come together on one day a week (or people could visit less frequently if they wanted) and share their news. I wouldn't want to take over the FSD though, and start changing the rules for everyone.

hf..... yea we weigh every friday to keep from weighing everyday and watch the scale go up and down. This way we all get together and just see how everyone did.
 
Okay, that's just what I need. I am a compulsive weigher:) so maybe this will make me stick to weighing once a week!
