Join me.. On my Journey to becoming a MILF!

Wow Kasey, I'm really impressed with your dedication to exercise and diet. I'm sure you'll reach your goal in no time!

Your menu looks delicious! Hope the bleacher running goes well...I had to do it for my cross country team in high school and it wasn't fun! Great workout though.

On another note I tried linking my Journal in my siggy but it won't let me. It says something like "I have exceeded the 100..... something or other that the site allows"... Does anyone know how I can link it in my siggy without getting that "error"?

I went to to get a smaller URL to put in the code. You plug in your diary URL on the tiny site and use the tiny url instead for your signature. hope that helps.

It sounds like you're doing great on your exercise and food. You're going to make some great progress. I can't wait until I feel lighter. I still feel like a clomping elephant when I exercise :piggy:

Thanks for the info on linking my diary in my siggy. I'll have to check out that site soon!

It was so hard when I went and ran for the first time after not running for 9months. I was nervous about [not] being able to run at all [i.e my breathing would be all messed up] but luckily that wasn't the case but because I was so much heavier at the time my knee's were killing me when I ran! I went through 4 different kind's of running shoes just to find ones that felt somewhat comfortable while running. Now im running in just your basic Nike running shoe! Only thing that bothers me now is my belly jiggling when I run LOL :ack2:

So for Breakfast today I had a serving of Fiber One cereal [their little cinnamon squares] with a serving of skim milk and a couple of strawberries. For a snack [it was a late snack] I had some more strawberries that I had left over [I had about 8 of them I brought with me in a little Tupperware container] Lunch I had roasted buffalo chicken breast in a Flaxseed, oat bran, wheat Pita Pocket with 1 slice of reduced fat cheddar cheese and a teaspoon of Basil Pesto Sauce and a side of dry roasted/unsalted peanuts [1 serving] Around 3pm I will probly have another small serving [its about a handful] of peanuts and than by 4:30 will be running my 2 miles. Dinner tonight we are cooking boneless/skinless chicken breast tenderloins and some brown rice.. YUMMY!

Do any of you listen to music when you workout? I have the Samsung T10 MP3 player [love it] and I have a ton of music on it but I always find myself listening to only Breaking Benjamin when im running. Whenever I run with my friend though I don't listen to music because me and her talk the whole run.

Can I drop by for dinner? It sounds great.

Not sure why but I always listen to Cold when I work out. Breaking Benjamen would be great too though. I also like the Little Nicky Soundtrack, horrible movie but some great songs to work out to.

^^ Ooooo I like Cold! Their another one of my Fav's!

Update:
I am [not] running today and instead I am going to the gym. I have a membership and haven't gone in awhile [ive been to busy running, I hate HATE running on treadmills lol] so I figured ah mine as well go! Not really sure what im going to do. My plan is to attempt the stairmaster for 20mins. I used to be able to do the stairmaster at least once a week for 30mins. That thing is a workout! It also really made my thighs and butt look fabulous... of course this was before baby.... Im hoping it can [once again] make my thighs and butt fabulous! When I was pregnant I was so nervous about not getting my ass back. All the weight from the baby wearing my front down made my ass look flat and granny looking. It was horrible! [i'll admit my ass is one thing I like on my body lol] but LUCKILY after he was born and I started running it's looking more and more like it used to back in the day. WOOHOO!

Okay enough ass talk.

I did do 20mins on the Stairmaster today at the gym. I was talking to the guy at the front desk and he gave me a schedule of classes they have at the gym. He told me about this class called "Pumped" and basically its a 60min class that is nothing but light weights and a TON of reps, working arms, core, legs, butt, everything.... He said its a great class to burn lots of calories and get really toned. SO... tomorrow the class is at 5:30 and that will be my workout! I am really looking forward to it. Something different other than running [even though I love running].

After dinner tonight I took Jayden [my son] for a mile walk. It was a nice walk but man is he getting heavy! [I had him in his little snugli]

Hey, you sound so positive and on track! I'm only just getting slightly addicted to my running and gym...

Keep it up, and well done!

^^ Thanks! :)

This morning for Breakfast I had 3 large egg whites with some pepper, a cup of mixed fruit [fresh watermelon, grapes and strawberries] and a glass of skim milk. I brought another cup of fruit [same mixed fruit] with me to work so I can have that for a snack instead of the usual serving of peanuts. Lunch today im thinking I might have a can of tuna mixed up with a tablespoon of light mayo and put it into one of the flaxseed/oat bran/whole wheat Pita pockets I bought. I took my multivitamin and fish oil supplement this morning. I hate swallowing pills but vitamins are good for you. Does anyone else take vitamins? Do you think the multivitamin and fish oil supplement is enough for me? Or should I take some other kind of supplements?

Yesterday I drank 96oz of water! [That’s 12 glasses of water] I was so watered out by the time I got out of work! I had so much water; I didn't even take any with me to the gym haha. Not sure how much I'll drink today. I ALWAYS make sure I drink 64oz everyday though before I leave work. Does anyone drink anything other than water? Sometimes I will treat myself and have an ice coffee. I use skim milk and 3 splendas with it though. It really hits the spot when im craving something "sweet".

So when I was at the gym yesterday, I was talking to the guy at the front desk about weight loss and all that jazz. He was telling me how one of the trainers there had lost 80lbs in 4 months by eating 3lbs of chicken everyday... I was amazed at the large amount of weight lost in a short time but in my head im thinking "That definitely isn't healthy!". Chicken is super healthy but 3lbs everyday!

Hey Kasey! As far as the supplements go, fish oil and multi are both great and should be taken daily. It sounds like your diet is varried enough to where you dont really need a lot of supplements. Basiclly the more you eliminate food out of your diet the more supplements you need. I would normally recommend flaxseed oil, but it sounds like you have flaxseed in you meal plans. One thing you could add is a B-6, B-12 vitamin. Thats normally found in red meat and is good for you. Sounds like you're not eating that so it might be something good to add. I Take one called Desiccated Liver, here is some info on what it gives you.

"Desiccated liver is a concentrated form of liver that is dried, powdered and tableted. This form of liver contains the Vitamins A, D, C and B Complex and the minerals Calcium, Copper, Phosphorus and Iron.

Desiccated liver is a natural treatment for anaemia and aids in the building of healthy red blood cells. It is known to increase energy, to aid in liver disorders and to help relieve stress in the body.

Thompson’s Desiccated Liver Tablets each provide 400mg of desiccated liver containing approximately 25mcg Vitamin B12 plus other vitamins, minerals and amino acids.Thompson’s desiccated liver breakdown:

Thanks for the info! I might have to check out some of the "liver pills". Ive always known liver was good for you [very good for you] but I don't like it and there for never eat it lol.

Ugh just thinking about Liver makes me want to gaaaaag lol

Well Lunch was tasty. I had my can of chunk light tuna mixed with 1Tbsp of Light mayo and some pepper. I put the tuna in a Flaxseed/oat bran/wheat Pita with 1 slice of reduced fat Sorgento cheese. Mmmm it was pretty good. I also had a 60 calorie sugar free chocolate and Vanilla Jello cup.

Looks like I won't be doing my Bodypump class tonight. Josh has a function to go to at 6pm and the class is at 5:30 so maybe I'll take Little man for a walk. I will however run when I get home from work and than after I eat something for dinner, than I will take the baby for a 1mile walk.

ewe 3 lbs of chicken daily?? yuck. No thanks, I'd rather lose it slowly.

that's too bad about your class, but it sounds like you have a good plan to exercise. Yum, your lunch sounds tasty too

Went running last night since I couldn't do my bodypump class. I was running down one of the streets in the little neighborhood I live in and some lady was checking her mail and looked at me and was like "To hot for that!".. I just smiled and said NAH FEELS GOOD! lol. I guess I am a little crazy to be running while the sun is still out. It does tend to get a bit hot here in Florida but I don't mind it... Makes me sweat more!

Last night for dinner I didn't really know what I wanted. Josh was going to grill up some chicken breasts so I just had a chicken breast and put a tsp of Basil Pesto sauce on top of the chicken for some extra flavor. I wasn't really hungry either so thats all I had for dinner.

This morning I had a serving of Fiber One and a cup of skim milk. I am going to have a cup of my mixed fruit once I get to work [in about 30mins.] YES I did make an ice coffee this morning. I don't use creamers or anything like that when I make them, just splenda and skim milk. I need the caffine! The baby decided to wake up at 2:30am and than again at 3:45am and than continued to wake up on and off until 6am. Not sure what's up with that. He is teething, but he has been teething for a few weeks now and hasn't woken up like that... Maybe a growth spurt?

You are really doing great, your workouts kick butt! I hope to be able to actually run someday. Right now I am working my way up to all out running by doing intervals of fast walking and running on my treadmill. I keep trying to add to the running time, but you are doing awesome with your running. Your diet also sounds really great, you will definitely reach your goal.

I love the title of your journal!

Well done on the running and the healthy, moderate food choices! And a little caffeine never hurt (specially with you being up all night!)
