So I joined at SparkPeople last night, and it says I should be eating 1500 cals per day... but today so far I've only gotten in about 1150, and after my workout I'll drink a protein shake and get another 170, but do you guys think its bad that I"m not getting a full 1500? They're doing a free membership for life thing, and it says they have trainers and stuff doing all that crap, so do I believe them?? OH lordy, my head hurts now, lol...

Maybe. It depends what you feel for yourself. In general, if you go below 1200 for too long, it put your body in starvation mode. It also depends how much you're exercising. If you're very active, you may up your calories to 1500. Personally, I started with 1200, and had initially good results with that, but then my body adjusted its metabolism and I stopped loosing. So now I've upped calories to 1400 and working on establishing exercise routine to speed up my metabolism. Hope that helps. There are tons of calculators on the net that will tell you how much calories you burn per day with your activities and hence how much you should be eating. If what SparkPeople say is hugely different from that, then it may raise a red flag, but otherwise go for it. If they give sound advise, you will loose weight, if not, you won't, and that can be your gauge. Hope it helps.
 
hey my girlfriend you are doing awsome you can do this and i know how ya feel about bad feelings i think you may have that gift and new your sister was upset yesterday they have told me i have that gift when something is wrong but it still dont mean its great it is an awful feeling of knowing but not really until you get the call or something!
 
I hear ya Tina!! Its weird knowing someones gonna call ya and tell ya somethin bads happened, and I have a lot of friends that get that creepy anxious feeling, so I don't feel like a freak, lol...
 
Ok, so my workout last night:
Eliptical- 3.43 miles, 55minutes, 747 calories...longest workout yet!
chest presses- 3sets of 20, on 30lbs
lateral raises- 3sets of 10, on 30lbs
arm extensions- 3sets of 15, on 30 lbs
shoulder presses(even tho they made me wanna cry the first time I did them, lol)- 3 sets of 10, on 30 lbs.

good workout, really sweat, lemme tellya... looking forward to getting in more of those kinds of cardio workouts to...Gotta try and mix it up a bit with bikes and treadmills, but bikes just don't seem to do as much for me, and treadmills hurt my knees after too long. We'll see... in the meantime- just gotta keep it goin onthe eliptical!!
 
So far my food for today:
was starving at the mall(didn't wake up till 11am, had to work at noon and didn't have time for bfast), so I went to Arbys and got a grilled chicken club salad with raspberry vinagraitte.. was way yummy, but as far as salads go, I'm certain it was a high calorie one. Oh well, nutrious AND delicious :D
and now I'm eating a lean cuisine lemon pepper chicken fettucine thing, 240 cals. way yummy also :)

alright, gonna take a nap before the other job, and after that I gotta work out, so I don't know if I'll be on tongiht to check on all you guys... seeya!
 
Just stopping in to say hello and to check on ya! Dont ya just love Arby's!! I could eat there everyday if i could afford it! Doing great on the exercise!! Keep it up!
 
Whats up girl. This is my 100 post. I wrote you back in my diary. Matt keeps sending me IM's tellin me he misses me. Whats up with that? anyways, thanks again for the flowers girl. I need help with eatin at work and drinkin water.
 
Ok so, went to the gym last night, and I had every intention of just doin 35 minutes of cardio- I've been trying to do 45 every night Sunday thru Thursday, and on Wednesday I did 55 minutes so that I could do less tonight. Anyways, I ended up doing 50 minutes, 3.12 miles, and 687 calories :) I was watching Fear Factor, and could stop, lol...
anyways, gotta go take a "nap"(four hours long, lol) before my shift at 24Hour Fitness...

Good for you jessie!!!! Thats my girl!! lol I only exercised for like 20 min friday night. I suck I know. As soon as matt leaves......for good lol, i'm gonna start everything agian, and i'll be good. I promise. But drink water girl, only a month and a half tell mall of america!!!

Great job getting your exercise Jessie!! Go girl. I love Fear Factor, especially when they have to eat animal genitals or organs, it's so disgusting!!! Bugs are great too. haha I can't believe what people will do for a chance to win some $.

So yesterday wasn't so great... I only ate some 650 calories or so. I woke up at 3pm(I worked till 7am) got ready for work, went and got a veggie delite from Subway, had a hersheys bar( was craving chocolate :( ) at work, and then when I got off of work I had every intention of eating something, but one of my moms birds died(we have three), and I dunno, as lame as it sounds, the birds drive me crazy, they NEVER shut up, lol, but she was still my moms, and some strange psychological thing in my head makes me feel like, ya know, thats one more thing of my mom that I won't have... So yeah, I cried for a bit, felt like a baby, but what can ya do?? SO anyways, that killed my appetite. I decided I just needed to work out and get some stress out, and within 3 minutes I started to feel really sick, like muscle aches, hot and sweaty, like I had the flu... I still did my 45minutes and 2.74miles for 631 calories. After that tho, man oh man, I came home and doubled up my blankets and passed out, and woke up a few hours later dizzy as all hell, and sweating to death, bleh. Felt lots better after I had lunch today at *gulp* Olive Garden.. had two bowls of Zuppa soup, two breadsticks, a plate of salad and a piece of chocolate lasagna... soooo thats about a bazillion cals, but it made up for yesterday to, lol...
