Jess - The road to happiness and health :)

I'm so happy! And some more good news, for the first time ever I braved the Boxing day sales (I've been squirrelling money away for months for this) and got pretty much an entire new wardrobe for next to nothing!

YAY jess! so glad you got yourself a new wardrobe. New clothes are a real motivator. I am looking forward to the day that i can find some lovely clothes without the tag having an 'X' in it. Keep doing what you are doing dearie :)

Yay! No more 16s! Merry Christmas to you :) Those sales sound great, 12 tops PLUS pants for that cheap? Jeez, you did great!

Glad to see such a happy post!

Hey Jess,
Just wanted to stop by and say thanks for swinging by my diary, wow it looks like you've got a real weight-loss fest going on here, good on ya! And what are you going to do when you have to throw all of your new size 14 stuff out because you're a size 12?!?

I'm so happy for you, managing to get a whole new wardrobe so cheaply. The way you are going it will soon all be too big for you so at least it wasn't expensive :)

YAY JESS!!! That is just so awesome that you're a 14 all over now :) :) Congrats hunny!!! You worked bloody hard for it! Remember that muscle weighs more than fat, and is much smaller ;)

I can't believe you got all those clothes for that cheap!! That is so awesome :)

Hey Island - thanks so much, I know what you mean, losing the X is really something special to me. It's like a whole new world of clothes I never even looked at before!

Thanks Laura :)

Hey fatguy, no worries! Thanks for reading mine too. I think I've been so lucky so far, I've managed to have a loss every week since I started. I can't even imagine making it to a 12, but who knows? :)

Hey Ecky, thanks heaps - I was thinking that too! Some of the tops were marked down to $3 and $4. Crazy!

Thanks Lisa, Maybe it's all those crunches and weight I've been doing. Soooo worth it!

I keep forgetting to put my food in here sorry!
Here's today's...
Brekky - 1 mashed banana with a small handfull of sultanas in it.
Snack - 10 raw almonds.
Lunch - Wholegrain wrap with marinated lean beef (satay flavoured) 1 slice of processed cheese and a truckload of cos lettuce.
Dinner will be: Big salad with some marinated chook breast sliced up.
Snack - 1 medium mango.

Thanks for all the lovely comments and encouragement you guys, you're all becoming my second family :grouphug:

Hey mate! =p Wow, just caught up on some things here. A new wardrobe! That's awesome! So proud of ya! Major motivation right there. Sounds so much fun! And sure your friends will compliment ya! =) About the gum, yep I've been chewing sugarless too! lol Apparently Anna gail chews gum too! lol Whatever works I guess! Are you excited about the New Year?! Can't believe 2011 is here! Wow! Am looking forward to celebrate it at a family friend's house. What about you?

Hey Jess, I just read through your whole diary... you've come so far!!! Well done!!! :D

You have SO much to be proud of and you look fantastic- and I'm SOOO happy you went out of your comfort zone and got some girly clothes. It's amazing how much your confidence and self-esteem goes up when you're losing weight and feeling fit.

You're always so positive too, LOVE it!! And so good at eating healthy all the time. Just don't let that be your downfall- there may come a day you WILL want chocolate, and you just have to tell yourself that you can have one if you stick to your calories and workout a bit harder afterwards.

Hey Jess

What a FAB shopping trip. You've done so well.

Will you be doing anything special for new years? We'll prob have a bbq or something like that :)

Thanks Lucy! Me too, I'm so over looking like a man... lol.
I'm onto the whole knowing I'll want chocolate one day, but I just needed to put some distance between us :) I was honestly addicted, I couldn't stop. I think my gut and thighs are made purely of Cadbury!

I think I might brave some in the new year just to test myself!
Thanks so much for your lovely post :) :grouphug:

Hey Anna I LOVE your new profile pic! Thanks heaps :)
We're not doing much for new years, I'm such a granny when it comes to partying!
Every NYE we take the kids to the beach to watch the big fireworks show. They do an early lot at 9:30 for the kids. They are so excited, we always load up on sparklers and glowsticks too. I've promised the kids they can stay up as late as they want and they're made a bet between themselves on who will fall asleep first! Happy New Year! Hope you 've got something fun planned too

Hey Jess i live just near Dream World and if you guys are still wanting to go today would be the best day, it’s supposed to rain tomorrow and storm Sunday and Monday. Have a good holiday.

Sounds like a nice time Jess, hope the weather works out.

We might ride our bikes to town to check out the fireworks here, otherwise just a wine on the deck and an earlyish night...

See ya next year:)

hiya jess :) I saw you and I postin in all the same journals. Was about to come over here and say "tag your it", lol. Hope you have a happy new year tonight!

Ha ha promise I'm not stalking you :)

We had a fantastic time watching the fireworks on the beach. The kids went mad on the party poppers and sparklers. They're both still awake trying to make it to 12:00, but we had a huge swim this afternoon so I don't think they'll make it! It's 11:20pm here now, so I'll say HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!! Let's hope 2011 brings us all health, motivation, acheivement and fun :seeya:

No more broken resolutions for me!

Happy New Year and congrats on losing weight over the holidays:)
PS Quite an eye opener isn't it when you carry your weight loss around in a back pack.:) It made me realize why I always had a bad back and no energy.

Hey Jess,

I'm pleased to see how well you're doing.

Thanks for writing in my diary whilst I was away.

Wishing you a very prosperous, happy and healthy 2011 x

Happy New Years Jess! No more fat resolutions for us :) 15 kilos in 3 months is spectacular. Go on supergirl :D

Happy 2011 to you too dude! Hell no! :hurray::hurray:

Thanks mate, I just feel so much better, all this hard work is sooo worth it...

Hope you had a great NY eve, and your new pic is great!

Thanks Ecky! It's a first for me I can tell you :blush5: I think I put ON about 5kg last Christmas! Eye opener indeed, I'm going to do it again when I get to 20 kg lost or when I feel low to remind myself again.

Thanks Holly, no worries. All the best to you as well for the new year :)

Only 4 days now till we set off for my Mum's house. It's a 13 hour drive, so we're going to stop at a motel half way this time (sometimes I just drive through).
There are so many things I'm looking forward to...
* Seeing Mum, my 2 brothers and my 5 nephews.
* Catching up with some old school mates I haven't seen in over 15 years.
* Not being all fat and lazy while we're up there for once.
* Going to a water park and not feeling like I want to die of embarrassment.
* Taking the kids to Dreamworld and actually being active and fun!

I really feel like I'm 'living' now if you know what I mean? Not just existing for nothing...

Food today:
Brekky - 1 slice of wholegrain bread and 10 green grapes.
Lunch - Wholegrain wrap with satay chicken and onion, cos lettuce, cucumber, 1 slice of low fat cheese and half a tomato. OMG it was so tasty!
Dinner - Veggie soup. Everything that was left in the fridge - parsnip, potato, sweet potato, carrot, celery, onion, pumpkin, spinach. Yummo :)

I've had so much water I feel like I'm going to burst! The back teeth are floating.
