Hi all, this is my first diary entry.
Today has been a great day, a healthy breakfast followed by a 90 minute walk with my hubby aftrer we dropped the kids to school.
Lunch was a lovely veggie soup and then a hour playing on the Wii Fit. Love my Nintendo!
Dinner was small and healthy. Time to relax now and think what is on the cards for tomorrow.
 
Most people, especially myself, find it more beneficial if you say EXACTLY what you're eating.

That way others can see exactly what you're eating give you some tips.

Keep up the good work.

Sorry I wasn't specific, I just didn't want to bore anyone lol. I'll will list everything properly from now on.
I'm loving this forum, and think you're all fantastic. It really helps with my motivation. I really appreciate all your tips and advice too.
 
Hi again, today's been great - another day of healthy eating, but I'm thinking it seems I'm eating a load less than everyone else? I'm not really into counting calories though sorry.
Brekky: 1 tomato and a banana
Lunch: Big bowl of veggie soup
Dinner: Steamed cob of corn, steamed green beans and a bean pattie.

For the record, I'm not really a huge eater anyway through the days, my weakness was always chocolate at night time or ice cream. Yes, I did always eat a lot of chocolate :( every day (not a crumb of junk food in 2 weeks though).

It's been raining heaps today so no nice walk, but I did spend 30 minutes on the Wii Fit, and I did another 30 minutes lifting small weights (well actually 2 large cans of baked beans because I had a tanty a while ago and got rid of my weights) and stepping etc around my house. Better than nothing I hope :)
 
Are you vegetarian? You need to eat some form of protein.

Yep, I'm a veggo, I do eat nuts and tofu, baked beans etc, but probably not enough I'd say. Actually I think I should get some iron tablets maybe to help out as well.

Hey Jess!! Welcome! It doesn't sound like you're eating enough calories. You should never be under 1000. Sounds like you might be...

Try counting calories and see where you're at. You may need to increae.
 
Just updating for yesterday. It wasn't a great day as my poor son was really sick - looks like he'll be off school today.

Health wise I was fine, but think I was a bit low in calories again, but I'm tryng.
Breakfast was a large banana and a cup od light soy milk.
Lunch was stirfry veggies, tofu and rice.
Dinner was veggie soup.

I had a glass of diet lemonade later on.

Funny that my mind has just switched into military mode. I am so determined to lose weight and acheive this, I don't crave anything really... NOT EVEN CHOCOLATE!

I forgot to say what my short term goal is. Well I'm currently a size 16 to 18. A year ago I was a size 12 to 14. I still have the size 14 clothes, and I looooove jeans. Wear them every day, even in summer (I have many tattoos on my legs and now I'm a Mum, they don't get exposed anymore so my legs are a lovely shade of glow-in-the-dark white from being covered for 10 years!). Anyway, I want to be able to wear my 14 jeans again.

Then from there, my ultimate goal is to be a size 12.
I don't want to be a stick, just a healthy size. :)
 
Well yesterday was another good day, well mostly.
I've got myself into the routine of having my main meal at lunchtime, but we had to go shopping yesteday so my timeline got thrown off a bit, but I didn't let it de-rail me.
Breakfast was a banana and an apple.
Snack was 8 almonds
Lunch was honey soy vegetable stirfry (pumpkin, beans, mushrooms, carrot, broccoli, onion and chilli) with basmati rice. Medium bowl.
Dinner was a small serve of baked beans with a slice of grainy bread.

I have to say I am feeling so much better for just eating good foods, and my hideous skin (I have oily skin and get pimples way more often if I'm eating chocolate) has cleared up so much which makes me feel better.

Hi again!
Today I had another great walk (60 minutes) with my hubby around the lake. Beautiful weather here, and I'm so glad hubby is making an effort too. He isn't what you'd call fat, but has a fair bit of a gut happening. When he puts on weight it just goes to his gut unlike me who seems to get even fat coverage...
Breakfast was a banana
Lunch was leftover stirfry veggies and basmati rice. Medium bowl.
Dinner will be steamed veggies and a homemade bean pattie.
Snack later - 10 raw, natural almonds.
I'm drinking a great amount of water every day. I'm so over whizzing all the time though!

I'll be doing some more exercise later on too. Another 30 minutes.

I forgot to say I've lost another kilo too. That's 3 now. Not much, but it's movement nonetheless! I'm feeling happy and positive about how I'm doing.
 
Yay! Someone asked me if I'd lost weight at work today!
Such a small thing, but it's made my day!

Now I can't wait until Saturday (my weekly weigh in) to see if there might have been a bit more movement :)

Life feels so positive right now. I can see a tiny shred of self esteem down the end of the tunnel.
