Ok, now that I have a few more minutes...

The kids had ANOTHER snow day today, and IF they have school tomorrow, it's a half day. Friday is also a half day. I'm going to need a vacation before the week is over. lol!:willy_nilly:They're at their Dad's tonight though, so I'm finally getting some peace and quiet. I'll enjoy it while I can. :hurray:

I put my fitbit on a little while ago. I probably won't get in the full 10,000 steps to meet my daily goal, but I'll get some in today. Food hasn't been spectacular, but not too shabby. I'll probably be around 1400 by the end of the night.

I was also informed that there's a dinner/award/ ceremony thingy(that's the technical term) I'll probably have to go to for Chef's work at the end of next month. Hopefully I can drop at least 8 or 10 lbs before then. That gives me a little bit of motivation to stay on track for the next month at least. lol!

We're having breakfast for dinner tonight.. Mmmmm... I love breakfast.

I went to school for engineering, it was mostly letters and weird symbols.

Now that I'm an engineer, I use math to double check expense reports. "Why is my hotel bill 4 cents off from the credit card statement?"

:) Yay for motivation but you´ll be home schooling soon if this rate of snow days keeps up!
I feel like I already am. lol!
Breakfast for dinner is the best! What did you have?
We had eggs and a hash type of thing. It was yummy!

That might as well be a foreign language to me.. lol! Me doing math any math....

I used to really enjoy math. Until I slacked for a couple of weeks, missed something important and never caught up enough that it was simply fun again.

When I understood math, I thoroughly enjoyed it. When I didn't, it was a foreign language to me. My college roommate is a college math professor, it just clicked for him, always did.

Pretty sure I've never liked math... ever. We just don't click. :p

Well my day is off to a good start. I made it in and out of our parking lot without getting stuck. That was a relief. :hurray: I went and got gas, so I don't have to do it later. Now I just have to go get the kids in like half an hour, work, do some art stuff, and make a list of some things I need to pick up while we're out tomorrow.

Some more good news... I finally got the courage to step on the scale this morning. I was expecting to see that I gained like 10 lbs since the last time I weighed myself, which was before Christmas, but I actually lost 1.5 lbs! I about died of shock. :svengo::rotflmao:That makes me feel a LOT better!

Thanks, ladies!

We had a lovely weekend. We were out most of the day yesterday. Our dog had a grooming appointment at 1:00, so we left at noon, drove an hour back home when she was done at four to drop her off, and then ended up driving back over to finish our shopping. I think we got home around 10:30 or 11:00 last night. We picked up quite a few things we needed though, and a few things we didn't. I picked up a new art book and magazine. We found a great deal on a new bedding set we both liked- almost half off! So, that was awesome.

Today I've been on Pinterest half the day, did a ton of laundry, straightened up the house a little bit, and cut my hair. I got daring this time and cut layers into it. Luckily it turned out and I won't have to get any disapproving looks from my friend that usually cuts it. lol!

Tomorrow I'm going to drop the kids off at school, and then come home and get on the treadmill. *pinky promise*

Thanks, guys! :)

I know my steps have been pretty pathetic the last few days, but they are heading back in the right direction. As long I keep improving every day I'm happy with it.

Food was ok today, had one too many snacks, so I'll try to cut back on those tomorrow.

Not much else going on, it was kind of a boring day. I plan on going to bed early tonight. I'm exhausted.

I was thinking about this earlier... I really need to get over my boredom eating. It's really what started my emotional eating many, many years ago. Let me take you back..... In my early 20s I worked for a company that published a city directory. We were the only office for that company in the United States, so we did pretty much all the proofreading, compiling, typing, and advertisements for the book. What is a city directory? For those that have never heard of one. .. it's pretty much a fancy hardcover phone book. Except many years ago, the company would hire people to go door to door and canvas for the books. They would gather information about the people and businesses in that town. Some of the older books even had people's jobs listed in the book along with their spouse's name, phone number and address. My job at that company was too compile the information. I proofread sections of the book looking for typos and duplicates, and also made sure that advertisements were placed where they needed to be on the pages. Soooooo, my darlings... I basically proofread a phone book for 8 hours a day. You wanna know one thing that almost all the people that worked there had in common? Go ahead... take a guess... I 'll wait....

....We were almost all overweight! lol! Because let's get real- reading a phone book all freaking day is boooooring! We were allowed to listen to the radio and eat in our cubicles while we worked, so that's what everyone did to stay awake.

Many years at that job made me gain a ton of weight, and started some very bad habits. I started eating not only when I was bored, but when I was sad, happy, mad, or whatever it may be. I need to knock it off. My first thought now when I'm bored is to go grab something to munch on. Or if I'm not quite ready to go to bed, but getting sleepy... off to the kitchen I go to get a snack to wake me up. It's also transferred over to my current job, which is just about as boring as the publishing job.

No more boredom eating! That's one thing I will work on in the coming months.
