Speaking of my daughter, she's going to her first dance tonight...awwwwwwww! Her first awkward middle school dance, where boys stand on one side, and the girls stand on the other side... and they try not to get caught looking at each other... haha! She's not a "girly" girl at all, but she actually wore her hair down today. Not in a ponytail for once, AND took a dress to change into! *sigh* my little girl is growing up. *sniffle*

How'd her first middle school dance go?

They're not all awkward. My friends and I were usually dancing with some girl in our class for each slow song. But then again, we were never the types to just stand on one side and do nothing, and our class was pretty tight in general. Pre-dance we used to steal sugar packets from the caf and do shots of pure sugar to get amped up (we didn't know about the dangers of sugar abuse back then... hopefully kids today do!). And then shenanigans ensued...

Anyway, dances can be super fun. And at the very least, she probably enjoyed dressing up, right?

I hope you can reduce some of your stress.
Thanks! Me too! :)

I had spaghetti tonight too, but instead of using noodles I used spaghetti squash. It's so good and no pasta. Plus, right?
I've heard of that before. Part of my problem with food is I have a LOT of texture issues, and I'm not sure how well I would do with that. I'll have to try it on a night the kids aren't here. I can just picture my son's face if I set that down in front of him... haha!

It went good! She enjoyed dressing up. She didn't say too much about it, other than she had fun! She's not one for divulging too much info. haha!

That could be a problem. But yeah you should give it a shot. Never know until you try it. My kids don't like it for that reason, but my wife loves it and she is very picky when it comes to food and texture. If you want the recipe let me know.

I've had spaghetti squash. I think the key to enjoying it is to know that it's not a straight replacement for spaghetti. That being said, it is closer to having an al dente angel hair, and some salt goes a long way (assuming you can handle a little extra salt).

Have a great day!

Thanks, guys! I'll have to try it. I looked on pinterest, and there is like 1 gazillion recipes for spaghetti squash. haha! I found one with spinach and bacon that looks yummy! :)

Today I decided that I was going to take a little time clear my head, put my earbuds in, turn the music up, and draw. I love it, and there is nothing more relaxing to me. So that's what I did! It also keeps me from eating. Very hard to eat snacky foods, draw, and keep your fingers and paper clean at the same time. haha!

Since I finished my bird drawing(which is like 4 or 5 pages back), I decided to start working on a "selfie". I worked on the hair today. I really should of picked a picture of myself with shorter hair. lol! Oh well! So far I think it's going good. Still have lots of hair to finish, and a lot of tweaking to do. I want to get this done though, because I have a couple other things I want to do... The Rock, one of Chef's man crushes..haha! And I picture for my daughter that she's been requesting.

Hopefully I can have this done in a week or two. :)

I wanna sit down this weekend and make a grocery list out, and hopefully go to the store. I think I want to start doing low carb again on Monday. We'll see. I have such a love/hate relationship with it. I love seeing the pounds drop off really quick... and pretty much all the rest of it is "hate'. hahaha! :p No, there's other stuff too... I feel much better when I'm doing it. I have a lot less aches and pains. So that's another good thing about it. :)

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Wow!! You are really talented.

Spaghetti squash is awesome. A great alternative to pasta and way less carbs. I treat it just like spaghetti and put a tomato sauce on it. I actually like it better now than pasta.

You have a great weekend too!!

Wow!!! You are an amazing artist. Speechless. I can't stop looking at it. Sounds like you have the reasons to eat low carb again.

WOW, that is some serious talent! Both the sketch and you are gorgeous!

Do you draw professionally? People should be paying you for that...

Thanks, everyone! I appreciate all the nice comments! :)

This weekend was going pretty good. We went out yesterday and did a little shopping, and saw the Deadpool movie. Loved it!

Unfortunately while we were out and about yesterday my leg starting hurting more and more. By the time we got home I was hobbling around. I know I didn't hurt it doing anything, so I'm kind of worried that it's another blood clot. It hurts above the knee, on the front and side of my thigh. Mostly when I'm walking on it. And it's a little swollen. Hopefully it's better by tomorrow, or I'll have to go to the doctor. I'm not really holding my breath on that happening though.

*Fingers crossed* that it's not another clot. I really have no desire to go back on thinners or become a human pin cushion again.

O dear, that´s scary. I hope it´ll be better when you wake up, but otherwise: don´t waste time, get thee to a doctor.

That drawing is fantastic! Also, I really hope it isn't a blood clot. I've never had one before, but a friend of mine has and if I remember correctly the treatment was kind of a hassle. :/

Jen, that's a great drawing, great talent!

Now go to a doctor! Heeding a false alarm is much better than ignoring a real one. I'm with you on how terrible the thinners are, though.

Thanks, guys! :)

It was still hurting this morning, so I made a Dr. appt first thing this morning. They were able to get me in pretty quick. I told him what was going on, my medical history, and he pretty much went..."Yeeeeeah, let's just send you over to the ER right now." haha! So, they drew blood and did an ultrasound on my leg. Everything came back good! Yay! And since the bloodwork showed no clotting and I'm not having any embolism symptoms, they decided not to do the CT scan they were going to do. So that was good! It's basically just a muscle thing. Apparently I'm so good at injuring myself I don't even know when I'm doing it. Or Chef's beating me in my sleep... o_O

Cory: Unfortunately I'm all to familiar with blood clots. I've had them in both legs. One of which broke off and tried to kill me, by exploding all over my lungs. Blood thinners are not fun, lots of restrictions, and all the testing to make sure your levels are fine sucks. Never wanna do that again... ever.

It's definitely a relief to know I don't have any clots festering inside of me. haha!

Edited to Add: Forgot to mention I'm starting low carb today! Hopefully it works for me as well as it did last time. :)
