208.8 this morning. Go away water weight! Go awaaaaay!

:)

Anyway... the scale didn't budge this week. Not surprising. I'm hoping for a good sized drop by Sunday. Going to drink lots of water and stick to my calories. My snack calories today are going to be from a POP. The no pop challenge is over! :hurray: I almost feel guilty about drinking it now though. haha! I know I earned it, but it's just liquid calories. Don't get me wrong... I'm drinking the damn pop, but I might feel slightly bad about it after. I'm hoping it doesn't taste as good as I remember. lol!

Interesting...and well done on making it through the 30 days! I feel like I should follow suit and attempt stretches of abstinence with respect to my mini-addictions (Diet Coke being the bane of my existence haha).

WELL DONE!!!!! I think it's unrealistic to abstain from what you enjoy forever. You've proven to yourself that you don't need it, now you can just look on it as a treat, or something to have occasionally in moderation. You have done so well though to go without for so long...I'm thinking about doing a whole month or no alcohol. I don't think I have your strength though :p

Thanks, Rhunter and Lou Lou!! If you're up for it, I highly recommend the challenges. :)

Soooooo... You know how I wrote a couple posts up about hoping that the mountain dew wouldn't taste as good as I remembered it? It didn't. It soooo didn't. haha! I had about 4 or 5 drinks of it and put it up. I don't really know how to describe how it tasted, other than like lemony dish soap? It had a chemical type taste to it. :ack2: After those 4 or 5 drinks I decided that the chemical taste was NOT worth 290 calories, so I got something else for snack. So weird to think that I drank that before with no problems.

I was 207.2 this morning. :hurray: My drop was a day later than I was hoping for, but better late than never.

Today is a treadmill day. I also have to work, run a few errands, and maybe find some time for a nap. Ended up taking my mom to the ER at about 2 am. She's ok, it was just her gallbladder acting up, but it made for a veeeery long night. This girl is TIRED.

I think that's fantastic that you didn't like the pop! Now have something good! Grats on the weight drop!

Thanks, Q!

Calories for the night are around 1300. I did the treadmill tonight and put some heat on my sore ankle. It seems to have helped a little bit.

Next goal is 205 by Friday. Chef's parents get into town on Wednesday, and we'll be eating out a couple times this week. I'm just going to have to check menus online before we go, and pick something half way decent on calories. Hopefully I make it through this week without gaining.

It is incredible what a little abstinence can do! I'm really pleased that you no longer like the pop, hopefully it will easier in the future to avoid too much of it or make better choices with snacks and fluids :) Well done.

Hope your mum is ok, my friend has gallbladder issues, it's horrible. Once it flares up there is nothing anyone can do to make them comfortable :(

207.6 this morning.

Thanks, Lou Lou and Serge! :) Mom is doing better today. I just got back from dropping off her pain meds, so I'm sure she'll be doing a lot better in a little bit. lol!

Not much to write about today. Still not drinking pop, sticking to my calories, and exercising every other day..... and of course waiting for the weight to fall off me. Anytime now, weight... aaaanytime. :)

Yesterday i went out and i ate out with others in a celebration. It was late in the afternoon and at that time i usually don't eat a lot. But yesterday i ate everything that others ate. Not a lot of quantity but a big variety of food like grilled meat, vegetables cooked in pan, a lot of cheese as well as food made of cheese, potatoes made in the oven. A great variety of food and i drink only a little wine and didn't eat sweet. I couldn't see my weight in scales this morning so i didn't get on the scales today. Today i decided eat very, very little and drink only milk and tea all the day to balance the today's calories with them of the previous evening. As i understand from yesterday it 's really impossible avoid eating when others near you eat and the food seems delicious! So today seems a day of fast in order to balance the yesterday's evening great amount of calories.

Hiya Jen *waves* Hope things have been okay for you--Looks like you're doing really well again ^_^

*waves back* Glad you're back!! I'm back on track and determined to lose this extra flab once and for all. I took a break for couple months, ended up having a pulmonary embolism and almost died :( , took another long break...and then decided that sitting around being depressed and stuffing my face was making my clothes just a wee bit tighter. lol! Soooo.. I'm back, and losing it once and for all. Gotta get healthy this time!! :)

Eating out or with others is one of my biggest challenges. It's really hard for me to say no in situations like that. I think I've gotten better, and at least will try to plan ahead if I can by looking at the menu online. With Chef's parents coming up though, I know we're going to be snacking on stuff at home too. His mom will probably bring a very large tub of cookies with her. Sigh. Her cookies are really good too. I'm just going to have to dig deep for my willpower. lol!

Congratulations on the successful pop challenge and the dropping weight. Hoo-ray!!!

As for the pop not tasting as good as you remember. I had the same experience with a particular type of food I had abstained from. Did I say "same?" What I meant was my experience was exactly the opposite: I had to be physically restrained by the police from eating more. :)

But you can resist it so that's a once or twice a year indulgence. Keep up the great work!

Thanks, MrVee!!

So today was my first real weigh-in for the the Christmas challenge. I decided to participate in that because I need all the extra motivation I can get through the holiday months. My weight today was 206.2. Chef's parents get here on Wednesday, and we're going out to eat that night. Hopefully that doesn't mess me up on the scales too much. I was hoping for 205 by Friday. We shall see though.

Mini rant... I haaaaaate our downstairs neighbor. This bitch had better move when her lease is up. We share a very tiny porch, 99% of the time her half of the porch is covered in shit, mostly toys. Half the time her shit is on our side of the porch too. So we went to the trouble of decorating in front of our door and window for Halloween. I go outside today and she has put her Halloween decorations right next to ours, under our window. Like dude.... You don't get the whooole porch. You get your HALF... we get ours! If you don't have enough room for your shit... take care of some of it! Needless to say when we carve pumpkins later tonight, her shit is getting moved back, so we have somewhere to put them. Neighbors...uuuuuuugh. I can't wait to move out of here.

Neighbours can really make things good or annoyingly bad. Have been two occasions where my neighbours have left me praying for a drone strike at an opportune moment.

Hi Jen! I'm just getting into the swing of this forum and thought I'd stop in to say hi! I'm getting new downstairs neighbors soon, and it seems like I've heard more horror stories about neighbors than ever before. Hopefully they all suddenly realize that they're being annoying and crazy.

Thanks, guys! She's just the worst neighbor and drives me batty on a pretty much daily basis..lol. Hi, Oaks :waving: Thanks for stopping by!

So this morning I made a poor choice and got some hot cocoa... aka liquid calorie deliciousness. I had to put gas in my car and the hot cocoa machine was RIGHT there when I was standing in line to pay. I tried not looking at it, but it didn't work. It stared at me seductively, whispered some sweet nothings into my ear, and pretty soon after I was pushing the button. :blush5: I did get the small one, but I should have just passed it up entirely. I don't need to get back into that habit, because it was almost an everyday thing last winter. Not good!

I forgot to weigh myself this morning. I didn't want to get out of bed this morning, so I was running a little behind.

Neighbours can be the worst!! I have lived in my flat for 7 years and have had at least 4 families/couples below me, all of whom shout and swear at their kids, play really loud music and have blazing rows! Oh how I long for a detatched house in the middle of nowhere!!!
If your neighbour doesn't take heed of your passive aggressive attempts to move her crap, speak to her face to face (or if your a scardy cat like me write a note lol).

Good luck with the Christmas Challenge. What is it/what do you do for it?

The last couple days haven't been the best. My calories have been more around maintenance(1700ish). My weight was 209.2 this morning. Yikes. The last couple dinners have been VERY carb heavy though, so I'm hoping some of the jump is from that. Chef's parents are here until Saturday, so we've been straying from our normal routine. Sunday will be back to normal though. :)

Today is Halloween! :pumpkin: We also had our first snow this morning. So we'll be bundling up for trick-or-treating tonight. Should be fun though. :) Goal: Do not eat any of my kids Halloween candy!

I'll just sick Chef on her. He has no problem being a blunt asshole... lol. Which oddly enough is one of the reasons I love him. I hardly ever have to wonder what he's thinking..lol

The Christmas challenge is basically just setting a goal for Christmas and then there's weekly weigh-ins on Monday. It's in the challenge section. Check it out if you haven't already! :)

Will do, thanks!

Have fun trick or treating! And snow already?! Wow!! We're lucky to get snow in the winter, let alone OCTOBER! I'm jealous! Hope you have a great time wading through it :p
