Thanks, Quercus! :)

Ending the night at around 1370 calories. Gonna jump on the treadmill in a few minutes here.

Could seriously eat about 10 lbs of chocolate right now. Ok...maybe not 10. Definitely 7 or 8 though.

210.0 this morning.

Didn't do the best with food today. My anxiety was flaring BAD all morning, so eating was not something I really felt like doing. I tried eating a small bowl of cereal, which ...TMI WARNING... did not stay down. Ate a little bit of cottage cheese for lunch, and then by dinnertime I was feeling a little better, so I had a couple slices of pizza. I'm only at like 1150 calories right now. I think I'll have a pudding or something for snack later if I continue to feel ok.

Today is day 19 of not drinking pop. I think after the 30 days is up I'll have a some pop that day and then go for another two weeks without it. Try to do like two weeks off... have a pop... then do another do weeks and so on. So I'm basically only having pop 2 days a month. I think that's easily doable, and will keep me satisfied. I do like it for treat, so I'm never going to stop completely. I don't think a couple a month is bad though, especially since I usually drink diet anyway. I definitely NEED the plan though, because otherwise I'll just end up drinking it every day again. So when this 30 days is up, I'll have one, and then go right back to counting days again.

If there's one thing I've learned... I can't lose weight without a plan. I have to count calories, I have to count days for pop. I need strict guidelines or I just fall off the wagon. If I go off my calories for a day, it usually turns into two, three, or four days. I need to stick to my plan or the holidays are going to throw me off really bad. I'm determined to be successful through the end of the year. I need to start thinking of the holidays as two days...not two months. Realistically there's no reason for me to stuff my face for the next two and a half months just because it's the holiday "season". Thanksgiving and Christmas are one day each... ONE DAY... not two and a half months. Yeah, there's extra treats and stuff around, but I will not use the holidays this year as an excuse to eat like shit for two and a half months straight just because it's the "holidays". If I can stick to my calories today, then I should be able to stick to my calories on every random day in November and December. Willpower! I will have it this year! RAAAAWR!

Saw this and thought it was cute..and reflects how I feel right now.

I mostly agree with this thing that i can' lose weight without a plan as you mention Jen. It's very easy to fall off the wagon if i don't have a plan in mind. And that's true that if i go off my calories for a day, it usually turns into two, three, or four days. But i think again that it's difficult to stay always in a plan except there is a strong determination or good motivation in mind. I would like to think about something pleasant after that programme. Like some new cloths and the fact that after reaching my goal i would be more free with counting calories. However how many calories do you count a good day?

Rewards are definitely part of my plan. This girl love rewards! :D The ultimate reward being a healthier and slimmer body... BUT, since that is going to take a while, I'm going to be rewarding myself with a few fun things along the way. For example when my 30 day pop challenge is over, I'll be getting a new outfit. When I get under 200 lbs again there will be a reward for that. I'm thinking maybe a new mp3 player? Chef and I also discussed going to a resort for a weekend as a reward for losing so many pounds. So, rewards definitely play a part. I think when you have a lot to lose, small rewards keep your motivation up. At least they do for me.

Eventually I hope to be able to live a life that is free of calorie counting, but for now I have stick with it. When I get down closer to the weight I want to be, I'll work on weaning off the calorie counting. I try to stick between 1300 and 1400 calories a day. I do have my off days where I eat 1500 or 1600 though. I've been trying to watch my carbs and sodium lately as well. I use myfitnesspal for all that, which I love! If anyone is looking for a calorie app... I highly recommend it. I neeeever stuck to calorie counting for any length of time before using that.

210.8 this morning.

I ate really well today. I should end the night at around 1350 calories after my snack.

Today is day 21 of no pop. Treadmill tomorrow.

******Also wanted to add that the spam on here is getting craaaazy. I've been reporting it when I see it. My favorite was from this morning. They literally copied someone's first post from a new diary, changed the name, and added a link. The spammers are getting so lazy they can't even write their own shit. Anyways... the report button is your friend!

Don't let this little guy win >>> :spam:

Thank you for your answer Jen! I 'll try to stick around 1400 calories a day, too. I think it's very useful a calorie counting application. I will try myfitnesspal although i would prefer the least complicated calorie application if there is one. I also think that music is really relaxing and i 'm thinking of buying an mp3 player as a reward when achieving my next goal of losing some extra pounds. My worry is that when i stick around 1400 calories which food is really necessary for getting enough nutritional ingredients during a week. I prefer eating proteins from dairy products.
In every case i eat fruits every day but vegetables isn't in my daily routine.

209.6 this morning.

I'm really tired this morning. I slept pretty good last night too, so I don't know why I'm so tired.

I have to get some more work done today, maybe do some laundry, dishes, and do the treadmill tonight. The kids are leaving later, so it will just be Chef and I here tonight. I have to say.... Chef is doing so good! He's been sticking to his diet and you can definitely see a difference in him. He's slimming right down. I think he gets thinner every day..lol. His chef coats are getting really big too. He's definitely going to have get some new ones soon. Very proud of him! :)

Not to toot my own horn(ok, yes I am), but I think I'm doing pretty damn good too. I'm eating better, making progress on the treadmill, and can see a difference in myself. My face is getting thinner. That's where I tend to lose it first. My pants are getting a little big again too. Definitely happy about that!

Myfitnesspal does have the option of just entering the calories of the food you eat. It's called "quick calories" I think. I tend to enter the specific food, just because I like seeing the carbs and sodium, but you can keep it simple and just enter the calories if you want. I just do it to help keep track of my water weight fluctuations.

I've been eating more protein lately, because I've been trying to do a more of a low carb diet a couple days a week. My diet is no where near perfect, but I think it's gotten better lately. I've been eating more protein, fruit, veggies. I'm not a big veggie fan either, and usually only have them a few times a week. I also have to watch my Vitamin K levels because of the medicine I'm on, so dark green veggies are something I really have to be careful with. I try not to worry too much about it. The days I'm not trying to do low carb, I eat whatever I want in moderate portions(as long as it fits into my calories).

Thank you, my dear :)

And, YOU are doing great too. You can definitely see a difference in you - a difference that makes me happy - not just physical, but in other ways as well.

A few months ago you were "this close" to being dead. And, during that time, your mind was in the shitter, you were moody, depressed and wanted no part of getting off the couch - you were scared, I think. Now look at you...you're eating better, you exercise multiple times a week, you're happier, you're getting healthier and, best of all...every day that you continue with what you're doing increases the amount of time that you and I have on this earth together. :beerchug:

Well, you know...unless one of us gets hit by a bus or something.

Thanks, guys! :)

Weight for today was 209.4. Lou Lou, you were right... that is my goal for the October challenge for this week. So, hopefully it sticks around until tomorrow morning. *fingers crossed*

Today is day 23 of no pop!

I've eaten pretty good today. Maybe a few more carbs than I wanted to the day before weigh-in day, but not too bad. If I go up tomorrow, it will definitely go back down. I'm not worried about it, but it would be nice to hit my goal number for this week. I have to start remembering to do low carb on Thursdays.

Nothing much exciting happened today, although we did get to practice writing our signatures over and over and over while we renewed the lease on our apartment. Other than that, I got nothing. lol!

208.8 this morning. My goal for today was 209, so I met my goal and then some. :coolgleamA:

I need to drink more water today. I didn't do the best on that yesterday. Today is day 24 of no pop and also a treadmill day.

Wow well done!!!! You saw your goal, then smashed it

I think you are doing incredibly well...on the weight loss and the no pop! Keep it up!

Thanks, MrVee and Lou Lou!

209.2 this morning. My calories have been great the last few days. Chef and I are going out to dinner tonight, so I'm eating light today and saving calories for later.

We had a funny convo over dinner last night. Chef made his version of Alice Springs Chicken from Outback, which is one of my favorite things. We were discussing how good it was when he turned and said...

"Be HONEST, if you were ever thinking about breaking up with me, would something you'd consider staying for be the...."

"Yes" (I didn't even let him finish..lol)

"So, you'd be like... God he really pisses me off, but I'd really miss the food?"

"YEP, don't even have to think about it"

:smilielol5: Like I'm giving up a personal chef. :p

Aaaanywho... dinner tonight is to celebrate Sweetest Day and for putting up with each other for 4 years now. lol! We're also going to start buying some Christmas stuff for the kids while we're out. :) I'll catch up on diaries at some point this weekend!
