Jen's Diary: To 180 or Below...and Maintenance!

Jen, great job on how far you have come. Im sure its an amazing feeling to know you have lost a 100lbs. I'm thrilled about 26lbs so I can imagine at a 100lbs - I will probably do flip flops all around :)

I did a 2 mile walk on the treadmill this morning. I was a little sore from Pilates yesterday, and I got my TOM yesterday too, so I think that's all I'm going to do today. Since it's that TOM, my goal for this week is to just not gain any weight. I will be happy with that.

I'm really looking forward to spring! The sun has really been shining lately, and it's supposed to get up to 40 on Saturday. :hurray: I can't wait!
 
Soooo thankful I don't have to deal with TOM... well, apart from how it impacts my life when my wife and oldest daughter are going through it. Then I just quietly go about my business and stay out of the way. :)
Good job on the exercise!

All the way up to 40? That's bikini weather.

Anyhow, good work on the two mile treadmill walk. But for someone who loves exercise as much as you do, that's no big deal, right?

Calories have been around 1250-1350 the last few days. Treadmill again tomorrow.

I was 188.4 this morning. I'm about to get on the treadmill, and then tonight I have parent teacher conferences, work, and hopefully an early bedtime. I need a good nights sleep.

I had been reading about the need to get a good night's sleep (from a weight-loss standpoint) in many books and forums and kind of disregarded it. I'm a late to bed early to rise kind of guy. I tried doing it since I started this process -- mostly to avoid late night snacking -- and have found that I am doing better the next day in controlling urges when I do sleep well. Hmmm. Maybe you CAN teach an old dog new tricks.

Keep up the great work! It is paying off really well.
 
A good nights sleep makes a huge difference for me. I don't know any of the research on it, but for ME, it's as simple as this... if I don't get enough sleep, I'm a moody, bitchy, and easily stressed out mess.... which leads to me stuffing my face. lol! So, a good nights sleep is a definitely a huge help for me. :)

I had a great weekend, maybe not the best food-wise though. Chef and I went to an edible art show(art made out of food) yesterday. It was pretty fun. After that, we went to lunch and wandered around the mall for a while. Then we spent the rest of the night playing games. My calories were definitely over yesterday. Today I'm doing pretty good so far. Goal for the week is to see 187 by Saturday. Oh, and I forgot to update yesterday... I was still at 188. So that's a 1 lb loss for this last week. :)

Will catch up on diaries soon. I'm way behind!
 
Quick update, because I'm super busy today. I have a ton of work to do, and my son is home sick from school. Not a good combo...lol!

Calories have been good the last two days. So far so good today too. Hope everyone is doing well! :)

I stepped on the scale today and was 184.6?! I don't know where the huge drop came from. I've been doing the same stuff, and eating the same amounts, so I don't know. I think my scale is just messing with me..haha. I'm not holding my breath that it's going to stay that way until Saturday. We shall see. 184 puts me into just being "overweight" though, and not obese... soooo yay for being "overweight"! lmao!

My son was feeling better today too.. so that's good. He spent yesterday laying on me, snotting on me, coughing on me, and probably infecting me. lol! I'm glad he's at least feeling better. Hate to see the kiddos miserable.

Today I'm just catching up on work from yesterday. I hope everyone is having a great day! :)

Woo hoo on the weight loss! Maybe his cold germs went to work and devoured a bunch of your body weight. Could be a new diet plan!
