Jenn's Diary

Would it be rude of me to mention that it was 83 here in Phoenix today?

That's not rude........ that's EVIL! *giggles*

Today we are standing at a balmy -1. The sun shine is beautiful, but still to cool and mucky for me to go for a walk on my lunch break. Can't wait for spring!

I was very surprised that I didn't binge last night. I can be a very emotional eater, and my husband really pissed me off last night. "If you're going to complain about the food I make, make you're own damn dinner". Argh!

Anyhow, now that I've vented.............

Hoping for another active weekend. Loving my walking dvd. Really need to make sure I get my own before I have to take the one I have back to the library. I may hit Walmart on Sunday, just to kill some time and stay out of the house while hubby sleeps. I can't wait till he's done working nights. Currently on 10 nights straight. After that he should only be working nights Fri/Sat/Sun, until the ski hill closes. I just find it really hard keeping the peace on the weekends with a little one. I think I'll take the boy for a skate both Saturday and Sunday. Later Saturday, we're heading up to my parents for a visit. My sister and niece will be there, so the kids will get to play. Sunday we'll hit Walmart after skating, do some shopping, maybe lunch. By the time we get home son should be ready for his nap, then I'll get the housework done. I often wonder when I will get the opportunity to have a nap.

Anyhow, on track for calories today - 1509 (including dessert). Ended yesterday at 1515, so I was in range (1200-1550). Got up to exercise this morning, struggled a bit because I didn't sleep well. My son woke up extra early, so I had a workout buddy for a bit. He kept saying "you're done mommy", then he'd look at the people on tv and say "you're done too people". He just wanted to play. Too funny.

Have a great weekend everybody!:D

Are those Highliner fish fillets the ones that aren't pre deep fried? My boyfriend told me he bought some fillets that weren't deep fried, but I couldn't seem to find them at the store. I try to eat fish once a week, but pretty much everything is battered and fried. Yuck.

Those are the ones. They have a seasoning to them, and they don't get crispy like the other kinds. They're still pretty good. I just bake them in the oven.

Not feeling 100% today. I think the boy and I are battling some bug right now. I can wait for spring......... open the windows in the house, get some fresh air.

We're both still struggling a little with the time change. I don't usually have a problem, but with everything else.............. So tired, could probably fall asleep at the desk. Plus I have a wicked head ache and stomach issues.

I'll stop complaining now.

Went shopping yesterday. Finally broke down and bought a new pair of jeans - size 14, underwear size L, and a C38 bra. I was wearing a size 16 jeans, XL undies and D38 bra. I could have probbaly gotten a way with a 36, but didn't want to push it. No really activity this weekend, except playing with my son. Too mild for the outdoor skating rink, and I'm fearing it might not be around much longer. Didn't get my walk dvd in on Saturday, and my son woke up early Sunday, so I only got 1 mile in. I also was looking for a indoor walking dvd of my own at Wlamart and Zellers - nothing! So I'm currently checking out ebay and Amazon. Amazon has a lot of the Leslie Sansone walking dvd's (which is the same person from the current one I'm using from the library). We'll see. I did get down to 168 this weekend, but am back to 169 today. Not enough water yesterday and I went over on my calories - so it was expected. Hope to flush out the system today - guess I need to step up my water intake then:rolleyes: .

Oh yeah - tried on my wedding dress this weekend when I was at my parent's. It fit! It was a size 14, Paloma Blanca dress. It's absolutely beautiful. My son told me a looked beautiful when I put it on - LOL. I have him trained well. Sad that I will never wear that beautiful $1600 dress again. Yes, $1600. I just about puked when I had tried it on, fell in love with it, started to order it, and then they told me how much it was. Funny how they don't put price tags on thing like that.

Beautiful dress, beautiful memories.

Have a great day everyone.

Oooh, I bet you felt so great buying a size smaller in all those areas at the store, I know it is really uplifting for me when fitting into a smaller size!

On another note, I hope you and your little one get over this bug soon! These that have been around this year are lingerers.. is that even a word? ::shrugs:: if not, I hope you know what I mean!

Have a great day!

Thanks everyone for your well wishes.

We are at home sick today. My son had a bit of a poopie problem at daycare yesterday, so they said I couldn't bring him back in until Wednesday. I'm still not 100%, I just feel crappy - I don't have the same problem he did. He seems better today - no issues so far. My husband didn't feel too good this morning when he got home from work. So hopefully it clears up soon.

On a good note, because of my lack of appetite, I was down 2 lbs this morning. 167. Hopefully it stays off. Not much of an appetite today, so I shouldn't have a problem over eating.

Hoping to get out for a walk today, if the rain holds off. We're supposed to get up to +11.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Oh dear, sorry for the sickness. A 2 lb loss is nice, but not so much when it's from being unable to eat. :( I've just gotten my appetite back today and it feels great. I hope you and the little one will be feeling back to normal in a flash.

Thanks, Dee.

We're back to "normal". However, totally crazy at work. I hate missing a day. I just been overloaded lately.

Anyhow, still staying down at 167. Yippee! Yesterday I got my appetite back, and went over on my calories for the day. Doing much better today though. Mostly because I'm at work and not access to food. We had a lovely walk yesterday afternoon. Nice and warm. Last night I decided to punish myself for overindulging and did to 1 and 2 mile walk dvd back to back. Felt good. I stepped it up a bit. Used 2lb hand weights and jogged for part of it, instead of walking. I also ordered a couple of Leslie Sansone's dvds - 3 walking workouts on one, and the other is a walk/jog indoor workout. Hopefully they are as good as the one from the library.

Anyhow, too busy. Gotta clear up a few things before the end of the day!

See you all tomorrow.

167 is fantastic :) It's nice to be securely out of the 170s. *knock on wood* Nice work on the walking DVDs. I've never tried one before. I'm not sure I've even really seen them around. Hmm... They sound really cool.

Sorry I haven't been around much. Very busy at work. Weight is still staying down at 167. Not sure way, haven't been too good this week, with my calories.

I ordered some walking dvds fromAmazon, as I couldn't find any good ones locally. Still waiting for them to arrive. Also excited that the snow is melting. We are supposed to get a high at +12 next Wednesday. Bye snow!

Looking forward to a productive weekend. Hoping to get out to skate on Saturday , if the outdoor rink is still open. Planning on hitting the slopes on Sunday. Wont be doing and major skiing myself, just trying to get the boy out before the season is over.

Anyhow, gotta scoot. Back to work. Will try to catch up with everyone again soon.

Have a great weekend.

Where have I been?

I feel horrible that I have been around much late. Work is overwhelming and being "that" time of year, I finding it hard to stay motivated to work, etc.....

Good news. I hit 166 on Saturday. Then I was 168 Monday, back to 167 today. Hoping for 165 for Friday's weigh-in.

Bad news. Not drinking enough water and not getting my exercise. I am trying to remedy these two issues. I re-joined the water drinking challenge. Have not posted strong numbers yet, but will get there. I had to return the walking dvd to the library today and my ddvds from amazon haven't arrived yet. Hoping they arrive very soon.

Last night I went to a cookign class with my mother-in-law. We made gazpacho (which surprisingly I like), potato/salamon cakes, and chicken stuffed with cream cheese and asparagus. Yum. We tested the samples in class last night - delicious. I've eaten the gazpacho for lunch today, and we are having the salamon and chicken for supper. My claories have been hit and miss as well. I'm finding it difficult to calculate homemade stuff. I was figuring everything out before, but just don't have the patience right now. I also had a glass of wine at the cooking class. I felt half looped on the way home. Thankfully my m-i-l was driving. I guess that's what happens when you haven't drink in over 3 months!

Anyhow, I am still progressing - surprisingly. Take care.

You're back! I've missed you. Haha. Sorry to hear you've been so overwhelmed. It really is a hectic time of year. Good job getting back into the water drinking challenge. I hope you can get your water intake up. The cooking class sounds like a blast. Matt keeps trying to get me to sign up for a cooking class with him. He loves to cook, but refuses to go by himself. One of these days, when I have some free time. :)

Hello, Jenn-

I'm another Jen...we are so rare, eh?

I've been reading through your thread and am impressed by your weight loss. I salivate when I see your weight in the 160s, as that is my goal. I'll get there in time.

Where in Ontario do you live. I live just over the border in the states, and frequently vacation/visit in Ontario...Toronto, Windsor, Sarnia, Red Bay/Bruce Penninsula, etc. Sometimes I feel canadian by proxy!

Well, it's nice to meet you.

Jen

Well this morning was a little depressing. Was hoping to drop the last lb that I had added from Sunday. Alas, still hanging in at 167. I have definitely upped my water intake to. Approx 96oz. That should help a bit. Still hoping for 165 for Friday. We'll see.

Nothing new and exciting here. Have been lazy lately and not working out. Still haven't received my dvds, and it doesn't look like they have been shipped yet. The good thing is at least they haven't taken my money yet either. Started raining here this afternoon. Hoping to wash away the snow. Can't skate this weekend, bc the outdoor rink is now closed. I think I will brave it, and go take my son skiing this weekend. Sure to be a good workout.

I really need to refocus on my eating habits. Been eatting too much lately. My husband hasn't helped. He brought home Fuzzy PEaches and Skittles candy for me on Monday. So Monday I had fuzzy peaches and Tuesday I had Skittle. Then he has the nerve to get mad at me - "Don't you do this to yourself. You're doing so well" WELL QUIT BRINGING ME FREAKIN' CANDY!". Sometimes I just shake my head.

I haven't been posting my food, mostly bc of lack of time and also because I'm using Spark. I've having trouble again witht he whole supper thing. Trying to plan. Staying within calorie range. Making something everybody will eat. My brain gets overloaded. Total calories today so far is 605. I generally get between 260 and 350 for breakfast and 260 at lunch. Not bad numbers, but struggling getting my act together for supper. Haven't figured out what we are having tonight. I was leaning towards spaghetti, but I know my husband would probably turn his nose up at it.

We'll see...........................................

That pound will come off, just give it a few more days. I understand how frustrating it is though. I still have 1.8 lbs to go to reach my monthly goal and I'm starting to panic a bit. But let's be realistic, lots of people lose 2 lbs in a couple of days, so why can't we? :)

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with finding good choices for supper. It must be difficult to stay in calorie range when you're cooking for a husband and little one. Well, just keep pushing along. You could have a snack a couple of hours before supper so that you won't be very hungry at supper time. That way, you can just eat a small portion of what you cook for supper and still manage to stay in your calorie range.

Thanks Dee! I really need to buckle down and refcous. I'm not gaining, so that's a positive. I just don't like that I'm not losing as quickly as I was, as well I don't like feeling restricted.

Anyhow, managed to lose the 1lb gain from Monday, however still hanging in at 167. Never got back down to see 166, nor did I reach my goal of 165 this week. I guess I'll scrap the initial goal of 160 for March 31, and be happy with 165. I know I could do that, if I can re-focus.

I also haven't been exercising lately. Still no tapes, and with all the snowing and rain it's been a mess outside. Hoping to go for a walk at lunch today. Nothing too hard core, but at least I will be getting out and enjoying the weather - as well as making an effort.

My son and I started tot gym last night. Was a little out of control at first, but then he settled down and it was very enjoyable. He's so funny. He'll take off running, and the way he runs reminds me of 'Dash' from the "Incredibles" movie. If anyone has seen that movie, it resembles at the nd when Dash is in the race and his family is yelling for him to slow down or go fast. It's to cute. Not much of a work out for me though, only at the beginning, when I was chasing him around.

This is probably the last weekend of skiing (or 2nd last), so hoping to get out. If not I'll be getting out the tricycle, as well as my bike and bike trailer. We'll see how it goes.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Take care.
