Jenn's Diary

Heehee! That made me chuckle, Photocrazed.

Yeah, I'm all about allowing someone else deal with the all the work. I like doing paperwork, and cruising the forums.. some have called me a forum whore (because I used to frequent so many forums), but it sounds so negative and derogatory.. I just feel I'm being supportive! :D

I really like being more "secretarial" now and putting people on hold for "one of the licensed agents" LOL LOL LOL

I hear you. My boss has decided that he no longer "looks after home insurance" , so it has been all left to me. I do very little auto now. I also sell life and some commercial. I would love to pass some of the stuff I get off, but when you know all the aspects ...........

I use to be a very active person before I started working here. I use to teach figure skating and downhill skiing. I was in such good shape those days.........

Anyhow, doing well again today. Didn't exercise last night, needed groceries instead. Hauled my ass out of bed this morning and did 1/2hr pilates. I think I need to get some new pilates dvds. My VCR is acting up and I don't want it to eat the tapes. We also received the spring/summer recreation brouchure for the Town last night in the mail. The running cllinic is starting in April. It's 10 weeks. I don't know if it's going to fit my schedule. I really want to start a running program, but don't know if I can do it on my own.

Still hanging in at 170, but am keeping my calories in check so I'm hoping for a loss tomorrow. Still eating basically the same foods, but have added milk at dinner to help fill me up.

Will report in tomorrow. C-ya!

Question here!! I don't know if you can help me or not, but.. I am trying to have my son put in braces that he needs really bad, can you suggest some good insureance to help us with this?

I hope you are having a great day, it's I read what you posted and I have been looking into this and though, well maybe. No hard feelings if you don't want to either!!:)

It's always fun to get new workout DVDs. I find it really spices up my workout. Of course, every now and then you end up with one you don't like, but it's still refreshing just to try something new.
Crossing my fingers for you to be in the 160s very soon!

Thanks Dee, I'm crossing mine too! "I am in the positive state of mind, that I will acheive 160s by the end of March". Seems like kind of a long mantra, but it'll do.

So boss man splurged for Topper's pizza today. BUGGER! He always gets Hawiian and there's always some left over, so he always sends it home wth me. Good side: I don't have to cook supper, hubby gets a treat, and it's free. Bad side: I already had 2 slices at lunch (regularly have 4) and a bread stick. My thoughts: hubby and son get pizza for supper, I will will find a lighter alternative. OHHHHHHH......... I bought extra lean smoked turkey breast and 12 Grain Bread the other day! Drooling. That should be a good alternative. What's bugging me is that I don't know the nutritional content of what I ate today. I checked Topper's website and oddly enough the Hawiian pizza nutrition info wasn't listed. Makes me think it'll really bad! Thank god I have been able maintain my self control. Rarely happens when pizza is involved.

Anyhow, no loss yet. But Like I said before... I will be in the 160s this month! Hoping to get some skating in this weekend, and I think hubby and I are going to get out ice fishing. I've never ice fished, hope I don't freak out in the middle of the bay standing on ice! Brutal storm here last night, snow and freezing rain. The news reports stated that if this storm was in Mexico, it would have been classed as a category 1 hurricane. Holy poop. I was awake at 12:30am listening to it. It's amazing that we had no insurance claims reported today, and that we had power! Wild! My husband had a heck of a time at work last night in the weather. He's a ski hill groomer operator. He said it was a mess. So needless to say, he wasn't home when I left for work this morning. Thanks to 4wd and my wonderful new neighbour (for blowing out the driveway), or I would have been still stuck at home. What a minute................ was that a good thing or bad? :rolleyes:

Oh and I picked up 2 dvds from the library today. An indoor walking one and a Denise Austin power yoga. So we'll give em a try.

Have a great weekend everyone and take care!

Very active weekend.

Friday night I did the 1 mile walk dvd.

Saturday morning I got up and did the 1 mile walk dvd, then I took my son skating. We had such a great time, and it was the first time he actually wanted to skate with me. Usually my mom comes and he wants her. Anyhow, he did awesome. We ended up staying out for over an hour.

Sunday I got up and did the 2 mile walk dvd, then took my son skating again. This time my mom did come with us and he didn't want to skate. We still managed to keep him out for about 45mins. Of course, afterwards we headed to Tim horton's for hot chocolate. I refrained from muffins or doughnuts. Whew! Later that afternoon, my husband and I dropped off our son at my in-laws and we headed out for an afternoon on the mountain. Friends of ours have a lot of property and a beautiful log cabin back in the bush. We snowmobiled back in and then fished the pond for a couple of hours. Of course, I was the big fisher-person and caught 2 large speckle trout. We didn't keep all of our fish. We'll catch them in the spring/summer.

Today.......... tired. I was in the process of getting up to do a workout this morning, but hubby had other ideas....

All in all it was a pretty good weekend. I made a seafood lasanga Saturday for dinner and it was only 345 cal per serving. Surprisingly I did not overindulge and only had 1 piece. Sunday however, did partake in the snacks while we were fishing. But I didn't have any alcohol, so that was good. I also didn't drink much water all weekend. 60 oz of Saturday and I'd be lucky if I drank 20oz Sunday. So I need to step that up. I probably would have had a loss, if I had have gotten my water in.

Weather is horrible here again today. Getting down to -27 tonight, and windchills of -39 the first part of the week, so no outdoor activity. Weekend looks nice so far, hope to get skating again. 14 day forecast looks like spring is coming our way. Supposed to be heading to a cooking class tonight, but I wouldn't be surprised if it gets cancelled.

I signed my son up for "Tot Gym". It's for 2-3 yr olds. Starts March 22nd, should be fun. Adult participation in required, so I'll get a little workout with him.

Anyhow, I'm rambling. Hope everyone is nice a warm. Have a great day!

I haven't been skating for years. No where around here that I know of that has a rink!:( Iam glad you are getting to be so active!! Have agreat day!!:)

Huge storm here yesterday. Ended up leaving work early, becasue they closed the daycare centre my son is at. What chaos! They cancelled the buses mid-day, so all the kids where stuck at the school waiting for people to pick them up.

Anyhow, brutally cold again today. When I got up this morning it was -22, add in the wind chill - BRRRRRRRRR! Had a good night. Was unbelievably hungry, but luckly was okay after supper. No munchies. No loss as of yet. TOM is coming so we'll see. My husband was bugging me about being pregnant, because I was soooooo hungry. "Not to worry, honey. I'm not!" Doing alright today. No major blips. Tried to get up early to do a workout, but too tired. Will do a 1 or 2 mile walk dvd tonight. Calories seem to be on track today, including supper. That means I can have ice cream if I want. Should put me just under 1300 for the day.

Not much else going on. Busy at work today, so I'm getting back logged. Need to catch up. See everyone tomorrow. Take care.

Oh yeah! My new avatar is my son and our dog, checking out a frog last summer. Dreaming of warm days ahead!

I am so sorry about the cold weather. :( That is the pits.We are having good weather temps here but it is all cloudy like it is going to rain! Hope your day is a good one!!:)

Hiiiii Jenn!!
Wow - sounds like a fun weekend!
I can't wait for warmer weather either.

Have a great day!!

Hello!

Busy day at work. Has been really hectic lately. Would love to catch up and be able to breath easier.

Anyhow, I did the 1 mile walk dvd last night and woke up early to do the 2 mile walk this morning. Feeling pretty good. Not burning as much calories as Spark says I should. May add in some sit ups etc tonight after supper.

Finally down a pound this morning. Could be because TOM is on the way. Last month I lost 4lbs before TOM. I didn't lose anymore for the rest of the month, but I also did not gain any back. Hoping for a 5lbs loss this month (at least, would love more), with all the exercising I'm getting in and tracking my calories.

Warmer today, only -6. We are supposed to be in the '+' temps this weekend. I'm not holding my breath on that one. Just when we think it's over, we get a kick in the ass again.

Not much else is going on. Hope everyone is well. Have a great day!

Yay for a 1 lb loss! Another step closer to your goal.

I hope Ontario warms up soon. I'm counting on you guys to be having gorgeous weather by April 21! That's the day I arrive. lol With all the snow we got here, I'm pretty sure there will still be snow around when I leave Newfoundland. So I'm counting on Ontario to give me 2 months of weather that will make all my friends jealous. None of this 40 degree heatwave crap either!

Congrats on the lb!! Yayy!! Keep it up! :D:D
-6 and it's warmer? Gah - maybe I don't want to move to Canada..lol.

-6 is warmer and we have hit it today. Supposed to get some snow tonight, but it's looking like a mild weekend. We have been discussing in the office here that the snow will probably still be around come April. There is just so much of it right now. Oh well.

Anyhow, I'm really enjoying my walking dvd. Thinking I may go buy one. I did 2 miles yesterday morning, 1 mile last night, 2 miles this morning w sit-ups, and I think I'll try to get in another mile tonight. Thursdays are not a scheduled workout day for me, too many good shows on at night. However, night is all repeats! Drives me crazy how many repeats are on during the "season". It has also worked out well, that I have been able to drag my ass out of bed to work out in the morning too.

Calories are looking good today. Screwed up royally yesterday at dinner. Ended up eating 3 fajitas, instead of my alloted two - I was even full and still ate the 3rd. I didn't eat dessert, but I picked at cheese while cooking. Well over the calories yesterday.

Breakfast: apple juice, milk, fibre first cereal, wheat bran, green tea = 345;
Lunch: Lean cuisine Cheese Cannelloni = 240;
Supper: Highliner Healthy Bake Breaded Fish Fillets (4), Green Giant Valley Selections Cheddar Pasta, glass of milk = 660;
Snack: hot chocolate = 120

Working on 48oz of water so far. May not eat 4 pieces of fish, but at least if I aim high then I know where I am or will be if I eat everything. May have some ice cream tonight. Need to double check the calories, but it's light and I think it's around 130 calories for .5cup.

Take care!

Are those Highliner fish fillets the ones that aren't pre deep fried? My boyfriend told me he bought some fillets that weren't deep fried, but I couldn't seem to find them at the store. I try to eat fish once a week, but pretty much everything is battered and fried. Yuck.

I know what you mean about hating all the reruns during the season!!! Desperate Housewives has had a million reruns this season. They're still scheduled for 23 episodes, but they're all spread out. I think they have THREE scheduled repeats this month alone! It's sooo annoying. I need my show! lol

Would it be rude of me to mention that it was 83 here in Phoenix today?

<devilish grin>

Congrats on doing so well!
