Jennifuffa's Journal

Twin mom: yes it does feel good knowing that I did well.

Reflection:

I received my new push fitness DVD today and I moved up to a more difficult level yesterday and boy can I really feel it in all my muscles. you know I kinda forgot what that feeling is like. The soreness that comes after a good work out. I decided to set out an exercise schedule and I am honestly trying to follow it as best I can.

Monday Wednesday Friday: Strength Training (this week only tues thurs and sat) 40 minutes
Mon - Friday: Aerobics 30 minutes

Which brings me to a total of 270 minutes of exercise per week. I hope I can keep it up!

My very best friend just joined spark people. We have not been on the same wave lenght weightloss wise in years. So we will be supporting each other which is nice.

Last night I almost gave into the midnight munchies. I really had a super intense craving for DQ aroung 7:30pm. I tired to fight it but I ended up eating a skinny cow fudge bar instead which is a far better choice than a peanut buster parfait or a blizzard so I snacked at night but I made a better choice. Thank goodness and I am feeling so much better for it! I am still on my no snacking kick. In the long run I'm doing pretty good!

yes, I'm with Val. I'm looking for the PERFECT exercise routine. give us a review! :D

and yay for your perfect day! :D

Hi there V & C

Push is an online fitness club. It's kinda neat actually. You go online sign up and for 25.00/month they send you 2 strength training sessions and one areobic session every month. You plug in your vitals such as how you want to lose what you why you want to lose, what intensity level, specific areas you wish to target and they customize the DVD specifically for you. You get two resistance bands and they program exercises based on the equipment you already have at home. I have a exercise ball and dumbells and I get a pretty good work out. You can also pick which trainer you want I think you can choose from 4 or 5 of them I chose Bob Harper from The Biggest Loser. You can also choose your Aerobics instructor as well. Each have a specific type of routine. I'ts pretty cool and for 25/month that is cheaper than a gym membership and I don't have to go anywhere.

I sound like an infomercial.
If you want to check it out the website is

Val: Hi there teammate. Who won the last challenge by the way? Names are so hard to pick. I'll do some thinking. Where is our group meeting?

they could hire you to be their spokesperson! :)

that push thing sounds kinda neat but I can't afford $25/month right now. :(
though it would have been cool to get Bob as my trainer.

Boy oh boy I am so sore from my work out that I haven't worked out in two days. I'm feeling a little guilty about that but my muscles really needed the rest. I'm excited about weighting for the challenge because I'm feeling pretty good about this week so far. Monday's are my usual weigh-in so this is kind of a bit of a cheat.

After this challenge is done I am not going to weigh myself for one month. I got some really great advice from T2 Trucker and I think I am going to just go for it. It will be terrifying but if I follow my plan and exercise I think I will be pleasantly suprised at the end of the month.

REflection:

YIPEE!!!!!!! I finally got out of the fluxuating betweek 267 and 270! I think I have really left the 270's behind! I was actually able to change my ticker. Since monday (my official weight in date) I have lost 3lbs! Yeah! Jumping up and and down and doing a little jig. So I have now lost a total of 20lbs! Yipee!

My new goal is to lose 10 by the end of August! I have some work clothes that I really need to fit into by September. I hope that I don't have to go out and buy some new clothes for work! Plus I think that 10lbs will allow me to slip into my wedding rings again!

Gonna be extra good this weekend! I am also feeling much better physically and I plan to do my strength training and my aerobics today as well!

Food Eaten Today

Breakfast

2 pieces toasted dark rye bread with margarine - 4 points
1 mug of light hot chocolate - 1 point

Snack
1 banana - 1
1 rice crispy sq - 2

Total points consumed 8
Total points remaining 22

Oh I almost forgot! When I woke up this morning I realized that I didn't have to fight snacking last night so I think I am on my way to recovery as a former snacking addict!

Congratulations Jen! I am so happy for you! :)

As a side note- I was feeling a little sleepy eyed while I was reading your post- and for a second I thought your ticker said "19 days until I form a new butt"

Congrats on waving goodbye to the 270s, and hello 260s ;) keep up the great work, and remember, it is when we rest that we lose fat and gain muscle, so you should have rest days.

20 pounds is INCREDIBLE!!!!! You are doing so good and it's it paying off. And you were strong against the dark force of Dairy Queen!!! Good for you!!!

Hope you have a terrific weekend!!!

lol! Well I have been working the glutes so I guess that would work too! :D

Skyler: Yes I'm looking forward to the next two week challenge. Power to the Blasters!

Mrs. Bear: Thanks for the reminder. I do tend to forget that resting is good and I shouldn't feel guilty when I miss a day or two!

Scarlet: Strong the force in this one is. (say in a low throaty voice)

Oh what a busy last couple of days! Packing up and taking off with the family to go out to camp and to visit my cousin and her family who just came in from out of town. Cleaning the house.

I think I have burned lots of calories in the last few days. My weight appears as though it has gone up. Mind you I weighed myself at night and I still waiting for my TOM to arrive. I have all of the symptoms including extreme b**chyness. My poor husband. He always gets the brunt of it.

I spent all day on the beach with friends and family yesterday and I packed smartly. I know that there would be lots of munches out and about so I packed an all bran bar and a banana which suprisingly tided me over. I guess snacks high in fiber do the trick for me. I didn't snack on useless snacks. I also didn't drink as much water as I should have and I had some barley pops naughty but they were coors light which isn't tooooooo bad.

Hey jennifuffa,

Just wanted to say congratz with the loss, good work - and keep it up!
And I know how it feels that you keep weighing yourself throughout the day. I just hope that you know if it really has to count it has to ben done at the same time every day, otherwize its just a sham (it can varies throughout the day) Its best to weigh yourself in the morning - at least thats what I've been told:)
Hope you are feeling good:)

Hey Jen, I always weigh atleast 3lbs heavier at night than in the morning .... sometimes even more, so I wouldn't sweat it. Way to go keeping busy. Intentional exercise is important, but so is unintentional ;)

Girl, don't be weighing yourself at night. If I did that it might make me pass out!!!! And good job on packing lots of smart snacks for your day at the beach. Preparedness is such a key to weight loss. But obviously you know that because you've lost twenty pounds!!!!

Hope you're weekend is continuing well.

YAY! *jumps up and down with Jen* Good for you! Congrats! You're at 265 now. Yay! Hey! I just realized we weigh about the same now. :D Don't worry about fluctuations. I've been known to weigh as much as 10 pounds extra depending on what time of the day I weigh myself!

When's the camping trip gonna be? :) Don't forget the sunblock, sunglasses and mosquito repellent when packing!

Mahatt: I know. I really shouldn't weight myself at night. I actually weigh myself 3 or more times a day. Morning, after lunch and before bed. Insain I know. I even weight myself before and after showering like washing will get rid of a pound or something. lol

Scarlett: I've kinda always know that I need to be prepared but I've only recently acted on it. It is so silly. I know all the little tricks to weight loss it's just putting them into action that is so darn hard. I'm getting there.

Mrs. Bear: I like the unintentional exercise it's like when we were kids. We ran around outside all day or played in the snow and our only means of transportation was bikes. We use to have a roller rink here back when you skated on 4 wheels in tight jeans and pastel tops to the latest hits (Tainted Love, Lucky Star, etc.). My friends and I were there every weekend on Saturday and Sunday and skated all afternoon. I didn't even realize that I was getting exercise.

C: Yes I just looked at your ticker. Wow you have lost 44lbs! So awesome! As for camping we go out for the day here and there to my parents camp but are planning a final one for the summer at the end of August with my brother in law, his wife and kids so just one more. And don't worry I will make sure that I have lots of sunscreen and mosquito repelent becasue the sun in not my friend and neither are those bugs.

Thanks guys for popping buy to say hello!
