Relaxing under a tree... that sounds excellent right about now.
Enjoy your belated bday outing.
If your relationship is anything like mine, time apart works wonders. Krista and I have (and I'm not just saying this) the healthiest relationship I've ever seen.
We get comments about it constantly, which actually get old.
I've been with her since high school... guess we started dating in 1998. In all those years, I shit you not, we have not fought once. Ever. It's rare that any attention exists even.
We live and die by two rules:
1. Always be open and honest about everything... feelings included. If everything is out in the open, it's much easier to navigate the giant vehicle a relationship is.
2. Always be aware and understanding of the fact that although it's a partnership... we're both two, independent beings. Be trustful and supportive, even if what one is doing doesn't involve another.
Yea, you don't need all this love medicine bullshit. And I'm probably coming off as an expert... which I'm definitely not. I'm sure what works for some won't work for others. All I know is it works for us.
