Inspired, motivated, and READY!!! :)

Gotta make this quick!!!

Woke up 40 minutes late today! :willy_nilly: My roommate went to the gym without me and didn't even try waking me up! Oh well. I hopped out of bed and got there. Ran 3 miles. I'm not sure if I will be able to go to the gym tomorrow... if there is too much snow (7-11 inches expected tonight) they might shut down campus! So I'm glad I made it there today.

I gotta go to class, I'll come back later between my classes to catch up with you all :)

Can't wait to hear about the snow. I'm also so excited for you to reach your goal this Friday of 137! That seems so tiny! It was funny last night while watching the BL - I kept comparing myself to the girls who weighed around my weight - I just wish they would have said how tall they were. It was such a good finale - my boyfriend even said it got him motivated to work out - however two minutes later he was talking about chips and dip. Hope the papers are coming along good and your not procrastinating!! Keep up the awesomeness Sarah!:hurray:

LOL I know I was so mad at her! She KNOWS that I always workout. I guess I should tell her that if I'm not awake and I wasn't drinking the night before, then WAKE ME UP AND DON'T LEAVE WITHOUT ME!!! :cuss: Good thing I have a nice alarm in my head to get my butt up! And I watched the Biggest Loser finale too! It was soo good! I LOVE Rebecca!!! Didn't she looks so amazing?! Even her skin, it was just glowing! She was my favorite on the show. I actually did one of my papers yesterday and FINISHED it! LOL I can't believe I finished it and it's not even due til tomorrow... usually I'd be in the library the whole night before trying to get it done. But I knew we were gonna have a snow day today so I figured I better finish it so I can enjoy the day off :D

I decided to not set an alarm, so I could sleep in. Well I guess my body doesn't like me sleeping in cuz I was up by 8! LOL And it's okay that I didn't get up to go to the gym because I'm literally snowed in! Classes are cancelled today so I think the whole campus is just shut down. The gym is probably closed too. I can't believe the snow.. it just won't stop! It is really pretty though :)

I wish I had snowpants!! I want to shovel the driveway today to get a workout in but idk. I don't even have snow boots. I have boots but they are not meant to be snow boots... but I think they will work. They come up to my knees so I should be good to go :)

I'm gonna go crawl back in bed now and watch some TV :D

and i think her blonde hair looks HORRIBLE!!!! she is def a brunette kind of girl!!! lol

Aww I thought she looked so cute with her hair!!! Well the cut was what I liked most, the blonde was kinda funky but it thought it fit her really well! I can't believe how fit she looked! And I think you meant 137 instead of 127... I wish it was 127!! LOL but thanks!!! :D

Just did a little workout in my room... jumping jacks, squats, side bends, biceps curls, bench press, glutes, leg lifts, abs. Felt good to get moving a little! I took some progress pics! Here they are...

End of September, beginning of November, and this morning.... do you like my mis-matched socks on the last one? LOL... (I'll add another post to ge the other 3 so they are side by side)
 
Welcome to the winter wonderland ;) Grab your shovel and litteraly start at the door. If the snow is always infront of you, you never have to step in it. I have it down to a science ;);) Just PLEASE make sure you BEND YOUR KNEES!!!! Don't use your back. I would hate for you to screw up your back for a couple of days and not be able to run. Use that awesome core you've built up!!! And make sure you through your ipod on. It make a huge difference.

LOL thank you for the tips Marie ;) I will have to be really careful because I do have problems with my lower back. Ever since I fell HARD snowboarding once, I've always had problems with it (nothing serious but any kind of stress causes pain easily). I hope my roommate grabs her shovel and helps me out! It is STILL snowing!!!!
 
Have fun shoveling. We live at an intersection, so I was shoveling snow that was like 4 feet high from the plows at 6 am this morning to get out for work ... and then my car got stuck at work and some poor sap had to grab a shovel and dig me out so I could park! :blush5: At least it looks pretty outside now. I'm ready for Christmas.

Way to go on working out this morning. I thought Rebecca would've looked better with long hair ... probably cut it off so she could lose an extra quarter pound. I was glad she won though. Let her be cocky and strut her shit for once. I'm gonna rock the catwalk when I hit my goals!

I can't wait to strut my stuff too! I want the workout she did on her arms - they looked so toned and muscular and there was hardly any loose skin - I want her tricks - wouldn't that be so cool if one of the contestants on the BL joined this forum.

So I had a really great morning! ... well, not really. My car was still snowed in (I never shoveled yesterday, though the company we rent from did plow our driveway) so I had to spend 20 minutes shoveling and trying to pry open my doors! After the gym I actually had to scrap the INSIDE of my car... yes... .the windows were covered with frost inside... and had to be scraped. It was kinda funny. The amount of snow here is just ridiculous.

It was hard to run today because my legs were all cold from shoveling so my muscles were pretty tight. I ran 2 miles (19:50) and did 10 minutes on the elliptical with highest incline and resistance of 8. I'm not sure that I'm going to get to my floor exercises because I'm running a little behind since I had to shovel this morning!

So I'm gonna quick have breakfast, shower, then head off to class! Gotta get REALLY bundled up today... wind chill advisory!!!

Thank you lisa :) I didn't start my second paper yet!!! Well, I have the outline. So I guess have somewhat of a start! But it's not due til Wednesday... we'll see how long I can put that one off :p lol hopefully not tooo long! I am not very excited to weigh in tomorrow... Well I just got home... I decided to skip lunch at my house at school because I FIGURED we would have food here! Yeah.... guess not! I just had 5 wheat crackers with a dab of cream cheese on each. And half of a banana that isn't even ripe yet. And then I found my candy stash and ate a mini milky way, a mini snickers, a mini twix bar, had a few bites of recess peanut butter tree, annnd ate a few of my mom's oatmeal cookie bars. YIKES!!!! Chocolate attack. But I needed it oh-so-bad! Well, I didn't NEED it but I'm pms-ing, give me a break!!!

Grr.. well... glad that's out of my system! I'm gonna relax for a little bit here... then off to guitar lessons and I get to see my sweetie tonight!!! I miss him! So happy that winter break is starting soon... I'll be home for a month and will be able to see him a lot more!!! :beating:

I am not very excited to weigh in tomorrow... I think I will be more excited for next weeks because I will be done with my period and I usually see a nice drop the week it ends!! I'm hoping to see at least 138.. not sure I will see 137 yet!

I got a huge "talking too" from my husband last night about the scale!! He was trying to figure out how it is that I can be so happy with my body, the way my clothes are fitting, the way I'm eating, pretty much everything... and then step on the scale and be completely miserable b/c of of 1 number!! You know your body the best, and you've said it so many times that you NEVER lose the week of your period, but lose it the week after. I would skip the scale tomorrow and take your measurements instead!! You'll DEFINATELY see progress there :)

Every girl deserves a chocolate attack when your pms-ing... it's the law ;) Use my trick and pick up some DARK chocolate. Your craving goes away so much faster and it's soooooo much more satisfying b/c the dark actually has what your body is craving.

Nice time on the treadmill this morning :D I was gonna try and run for longer than 1mile this morning after reading your post... but not there yet ;) You are really inspiring me to push myself though... so thankyou :D:D:D

So true about what your husband said! It's always a struggle dealing with the numbers but I think we've all been a little better about it lately! I should try and keep some dark chocolate around... plus it's actually good for you! Well, in small amounts ;) You should try adding just a little bit of mileage each day to your running... try 1.1 miles.. if you can do that... try 1.2... and keep goin' up and up! When I was training for my 5K, every day the running time would go up one minute. I remember just being like, "Okay, well if I can run 14 minutes, I can run 15....... if I can run 15 minutes, then I can run 16!!" See what you can do :D

I did weigh myself this morning (though I REALLY didn't want to... but I want to stay on track with my log of Friday weigh in's) and I was actually pretty happy with the number! No 137 BUT I was close!!! 138.4... This still meets me goal because I wanted to be between 137-139 so I'm right in the middle! I'll get to you next week, 137!

I haven't worked out yet because I just got home and started baking for a cookie exchange that I'm doing on Sunday. Apparently I'm going to be getting a boat load of cookies.. ugh. I don't want them! I just want to give MY cookies to everyone else!! LOL

Well I don't start work til 2 today so I've got some more time to work out today... not sure what I want to do. My back and shoulders are KILLING ME from shoveling yesterday! I didn't use technique Marie!! lol :( I just wanted to shovel as fast as I could cuz I was SOOO COLD and now I'm hurtin' real bad! Ugh.

Just thought I would stop in to say hello. You look amazing! Rebecca was one of my favorites on Biggest Loser, too. She just had so much drive, even from the very beginning ... she's an inspiration to me. I'm so glad she beat Tracy ... Tracy looked like some weird zombie, but I probably just feel that way because I hated her on the show, haha. Ever notice how in the opening sequence they show everyone else working out, and when they showed her the first thing you see is her eating those cupcakes? Haha ... always loved that.

Anyway ... you've done amazing work and you look awesome!

I know it's not nice to say "I told you so"... but I told you so ;) Honestly, It doesn't matter how good your form is the first shovel, you're gonna be sore b/c it's a new activity. It's really to prevent injury. If your back is still sore later even after you've got it warmed up and moving put some ice on it for 10min... it'll help!!

Good work Sarah - losing during TOM is pretty hard to do so you should be proud! I love it how you wrote "see you next week 137!" Good attitude! I have one more week to really push it before my family arrives so I hope to have another great week. I am planning on having a few drinks Saturday but hopefully not enough to derail me. That cookie exchange you are signed up for sounds dangerous! How are you not going to want to try one of each? Maybe just try a bite of each and throw the rest away - before I would think that's really wasting but really it looks better in the trash than on your hips! Or better yet give the rest to your hunnie! They never turn down cookies - well mine never does anyway! I haven't had to shovel yet this year but I know the pain you are in - get it every year too, sucks.
