Inspired, motivated, and READY!!! :)

Hey guys!!!!

SOOOO yesterday went exactly as planned - drink a lot of beer, eat a lot of pizza. YUCK! My tummy did NOT feel good today! I was good to it today. And it would have been my day off from exercising but I knew my body would thank me later if I just went to the gym.. so I went :)

Treadmill - 3 minute warm up, 1 min run @ 6.5 mph / 1 min walk @ 4.0 mph (repeated 10 times) and then walked incline to 30 minutes.
Elliptical - Highest incline setting with resistance for 20 minutes.
Rowing machine - 5 minutes
followed by abs routine.

Then I made a protein shake when I got home for dinner soooo yep!!! :)

I'm attaching some pics... a few that I found that are old but this will show you the difference in my weight... the jeans im wearing are freaking TIGHT on me in these pics (which are from summer) and the last 2 pics is me last night lol kinda a stupid pic but you can see how loose these jeans are now!! me and my roomie is the very last one :)

Gonna have a good week!!!! Gonna work HARD!!!

I found some from about 4 years ago recently and I could probably fit in them twice now.

So I only got 6 hours of sleep last night... which is NOT enough for me!!! It was SO HARD to wake up this morning! I even contemplated going back to sleep and skipping the gym because "well, I worked out last night... and I'm doing the cycling class tonight...." ...... NO SARAH!! YOU GET YOUR ASS TO THAT GYM!!! lol! :p

I did the treadmill.....
4 min walking warm up
16 min running
1 min walking
13 min running
5 min walking incline
1 min walking cool down
= 40 minutes

Arms/abs. I was sweating like crazy after my run! It felt great :)

For breakfast I just had an egg, half a bagel w/ cream cheese, and a cup of skim milk = 335 calories.

Your so awesome! I love how you say "Sarah get your ass to the gym" - and you get up and go! I set my alarm this morning to exercise before work and when the alarm went off, I thought about it for two seconds and reset the alarm for an hour later! I am going to say this to myself tomorrow "Sarah is getting up and doing it - you need to too!!"
I'm getting a gym membership tonight and think that might help me with morning workouts but if not at least I can get back on the treadmill again!
Your weekend sounded like fun! I'm glad you aren't feeling guilty about your beers and pizza because you do deserve it every now and then! And you were due! Your right about kicking butt this week! Thanks for reminding me :) I'll update you tomorrow how it went signing up at the gym and if I actually wake up when the alarm first goes off tomorrow!

This made me laugh! LOL I love that "sarah is getting up and doing it - you need to too!" now when I wake up tomorrow I'm gonna be like.... SHE BETTER BE GETTIN OUTTA BED! haha and that is totally awesome about the gym membership thing... the treadmill is going to be your best friend :) well its a love/hate relationship which is how me and treadmill are right now :) lol but it is by far my favorite thing to do!!! next to cycling!!! which I'm going to the class again tonight... woo!!!

So far today..
Snack - Granola bar
Breakfast - Half bagel w/light cream cheese, egg, cup of skim milk
Snack - Rice cake w/peanut butter, almonds
Lunch - Turkey, cheese, mustard, lettuce sandwich, pickle, string cheese, sugar free pudding

This puts me at a total of 1,010 calories so far today... I have room for 500 more so that will be a snack before cycling and dinner after. I guess I don't have to be too tight on the calories since it will be my second time working out today but 500 more should be plenty enough!!!

I need to plan a dinner though... might just go to the protein shake again. Or a bowl of cereal. I don't know... I have like no food in my house!!!

Water water water..... I gotta get on that!

You look fantastic!!! :hurray: Must feel so good!! It's also amazing and quite rewarding I'm sure just how many people you've motivated on here. What are you studing in school? I think you would make an awesome trainer :D

Thanks!! I'm studying organizational communications... I'm going to major in that and minor in human resource management.... but who knows, maybe my new liking for fitness could turn into something career related someday! :)

The cycling class tonight was pretty intense! I was sweating like crazy!! Great work out. This is what I ate after....

Apple w/peanut butter (300 cal)
Sugar free jello (10 cal)
Pickle (5 cal)
Salad w/balsamic vinaigrette dressing (50 cal)

I couldn't decide what I wanted to eat! Lol so a little snacking there... oh well. I stayed within my calories - 1,530 to be exact.

I hope I'm not too sore tomorrow morning for the gym! Tomorrow on my running schedule I am suppose to walk easy 30 min... we'll see what happens though.. I like to SWEAT... walking for 30 min is no fun!!!

GREAT JOB SARAH!

I used to get up early in the AM to work out, but, this morning for instance, I set my alarm for 4:55 and woke up at 6:50!! I don't even remember hearing it go off, OOPS! Getting out of bed is the hardest thing for me, I always lay there thinking up all these excused for not working out before I finally drag myself out of bed (if I even do!) so props to you , girl!

Two workouts in one day?! SERIOUS dedication- I need to get some!

CG - It's okay about this morning! I DID think of you! lol... it was really hard for me to wake up this morning... SO did not want to go to the gym!!!

My training schedule said to walk easy 30 minutes today but I decided to do intervals on the treadmill.... here is what I did:

3 minute warm up walking
1 minute running @ 6.0 mph
1 minute walking @ 3.7 mph
(Repeat run/walk 10 times)
5 minute walking incline
2 minute walking cool down
= 30 minutes

I didn't do anything else at the gym, just abs and stretched. My shins are sort of hurting so I didn't want to do too much because tomorrow I'm supposed to run 17 minutes, walk 1, and run 12 more. I'm in week 6 of my training to run 30 straight minutes... I'm freaking out that I'm supposed to be able to do that in just 2 weeks!!!

Before the gym I had a granola bar (90 cal) and 1/2 cup of skim milk (45 cal)... when I got back for breakfast I had an egg (70 cal) oatmeal (160 cal) and a rice cake w/light cream cheese (100 cal). This puts me at a total of 465 calories so far today.

I'm going to plan out a lunch and dinner for myself to get an idea of how many calories I'll be having. Yesterday I got to where my calories SHOULD be, but today I'd like to have a little less - maybe somewhere around 1,300.

I only have one class today and it's 50 minutes long - so I'm going to have a lot of time on my hands. But I have to use that time for homework! UGH.

I was thinking of you too and how I was going to disappoint you but I wasn't prepared and will get prepared tonight before bed so there are no excuses - I have to go and buy some extra shampoo, soap, cream for a gym bag so I can just leave it packed and not have to pack it every night.
I feel for you and that homework - I hated school work too and was such a procrastinator! I'm procrastinating at work today too! I have work to do but can't stop reading journals!
Good work at the gym this morning! You get a gold star! I can't wait to sweat like crazy at spinning tonight - weigh-in tomorrow :willy_nilly:

i started off like that too... run a bit then walk... etc etc. Its a great way to work your way up to running full force. Now i LOVE to run... and 5K's are a breeze!!!!

Aww thanks Melissa :) You know I have to give you a little credit for me being able to stick with this so far! I remember when I read your journal, one of the first things you talked about was how you wanted to be able to share a success story and inspire people like they had you... I think about this all the time for myself that I will meet my goal and be able to show everyone how far I came and hopefully I will be able to do what you did :)

On my way to class, I ate a bag of fruit snacks (200 cal) and for lunch I had salad w/balsamic vinaigrette (100 cal) half a peanut butter sandwich (135 cal) and a pickle (5 cal). This brings me to a total of 905 calories so far today. I think my next snack will be 15 almonds (90 cal) and for dinner I'd like to make a protein shake to equal ~ 350 cal depending on what I decide to put in it! This should bring me close to 1,400 for the day. I gotta keep an eye on the snacking!

Guess I better get to chuggin' that water so I feel full!

In regards to the Running...of COURSE you can run that much in two weeks!...Running is all mental...and you Do have the Mentality down!!! :iagree:!!! That's all it really is. Mind over Matter!

...I love that you are drinking water like crazy now too!!...i need to do that..and I just might put a little post it as well toO!! hahaha! ;) I am so excited to see your ticker so close to the 130's!!..I feel like ANY DAY now you are gonna be there, and it's exciting to see...!!!

...The day I can wake up and hit the gym up in the morning like you is the Day I know Success is a knocking and Won't GO AWAY!! ...I really really need to work on going to bed earlier. At least 2 days a week, to catch Spinning class! :D!

Thanks Alta!!! I know I CAN do it if I just believe in myself! I mean I BETTER be able to run for a measly 30 minutes... you ran for over 5 hours in a marathon!!! When I'm doing my 5K in a few weeks.... I will be thinking of you!!!

So since I last posted, I had almonds (90 cal) and a sugar free pudding (60 cal) for a snack. I just made a really yummy smoothie for dinner!

1 banana (110 cal)
1/2 cup fat free pomegranate vanilla frozen yogurt (90 cal)
1/2 cup skim milk (45 cal)
1 scoop whey powder (95 cal, 20 g protein)
= 340 cal

My total calories for today came to 1,395. I am NOT going to snack tonight. If I want something, it's going to be water. If i want something sweet, I'll just add some sugar free, no calorie juice mix to my water.

That smoothie really filled me up though, so I should be tied over for the evening!

Yeah... so much for not snacking!!! UGH!!! I really gotta get my butt into gear!!! :banghead: I guess having a smoothie at 5 PM was a bad idea... such a small dinner and too early for me to eat!!!

I'm not sure if the scale is going to go down for me this week... I mean, I'm not doing HORRIBLE but I'm not doing my best either!!! I hope the workouts come through for me... I guess as long as I don't GAIN weight I'll be fine. I already reached my Halloween goal... I don't want to go backwards!!!

Hmph..... I'm really gonna have to bust my ass tomorrow and Thursday... only 2 days until my weigh in...
