Inspired, motivated, and READY!!! :)

Hey Sarah,
you are doing so good and motivating me to get back into it this week! I'm really lazy and craving bad food. I had a horrible weekend and can't shake the bad news blues. Glad you are keeping it up and motivating as you go!
Also cute pics! The vest is really cute too so you should go back when it's on sale!

I SHOULD get it when it's on sale... :) How could I pass it up?! Ha ha!

SOOOOO a little afternoon update since I'm really not doing anything besides watching some TV.....

Had a GREAT morning. It feels good to be back home :) Aside from my puppy barking so much!! She's being a little brat today!!!

Here is my food log so far:
Breakfast - Egg, rice cake w/peanut butter, pineapple orange juice
Lunch - Slim fast "milk", 15 almonds
... terrible lunch which lead me to terrible SNACKING...
when I got home from the mall, I found a bag of mini recess peanut butter cups... only had one (there are 44 calories in just one of those little suckers!!! jeez!!) so i was going to have some pretzels and a piece of string cheese... so I had some pretzels... but then I ditched the string cheese cause I found ICE CREAM SANDWICHES in our freezer!! UGH. so I ate that. I've been feeling hungry still...

but the GOOD thing is... I found my solution:
I HAVEN'T BEEN DRINKING ENOUGH WATER!!! Water is a good way to feel a little full.... so, I just poured myself a big glass of water and added some sugar free, no carbs, no cals lemonade mix to it! So I'm getting my water but I'm still getting something sweet without packing on the calories :Angel_anim: and I already feel satisfied!!!

I'm going to try to eat a healthy dinner so I don't TOTALLY mess up my day.... I was doing alright until that damn ice cream sandwich :cuss:

I feel like I should hop on the treadmill for that one!! lol

Hey Sarah, just read through your journal. Wow, very impressive!! I used to LOVE morning workouts before school. Now with 2 little ones, I'm lucky if I get the chance to pee by myself ;) I was quite suprised with your pics too... we have the same body, only it looks better on you ;) I hope you don't mind if I tag along with you on your goals, as they are the same as mine. I have a hard time motivating myself, but if trying to "keep up" it's easier and a lot more fun!!! Congrats on your work so far :cheers2:

Hey Sarah, thanks for stopping by my journal and keeping an eye on me - that really cheered me up today!!
I went and got some healthy groceries and had a good day yesterday and am feeling good about going into the weekend. I have no plans ahead except working out, shopping with my mom and eating healthy dinners I have planned. So there should be no need to come back Monday feeling sad or discouraged!
I totally agree with the idea about not drinking enough water and causing you to feel snacky! I thought about it and haven't been drinking enough either this week. I am also going to pick up some crystal lite to add to the water when I need something sweet. Thanks for that great tip!
I found a drop in WW meeting today at 10:30 so I am going to go even though I know I'm going to be up and just make sure I am accountable and it will make me push harder this weekend. I'll update my diary after the meeting to let you know how I made out.

Thanks!!!! :) Good luck with your weigh in.. and good way to look at it... if you see something you don't like, just push yourself harder!! Another thing for the water... I have some juice mix at home that I get from Wal Mart. It's just the "Great Value" brand or whatever (something cheap lol) and they have all sorts of flavors. I buy the cans that have like 5 little containers of flavor mix (each container is for 2 quarts of water), so I just add however much powder i need to my water and I get a lot out of it! Might be cheaper than crystal light.. check it out! I like the grape mix... it's practically Kool Aid!!!

FINALLY the weekend... yay! So today was my weigh in... I know Sunday (post-puking all night) I was in at 144.0... I'm not counting this because I'm supposed to ONLY weigh myself on Friday's...

Last Friday I was 146.0 and this Friday I am 145.4 :) Considering I have my monthly gift (lol) that's NOT BAD! Glad I didn't gain!!! Only 2.5 pounds to lose to meet my Halloween goal! I have 15 days to do it!
EASY right? :p

This morning was the hardest day on the treadmill so far. My legs weren't hurting, I didn't feel like I was going to pass out... but it was getting a little hard to breate towards the end and I forgot to have my inhaler with me. BUT... I pushed myself through it and completed my run today!

10 min run / 1 min walk (2x) / 8 min run / walk incline to 40 minutes.

The first 10 minutes of running weren't bad. The seconds 10 minutes were somewhat difficult... but MAN those last 8 minutes were NOT COOL. I'm really proud of myself for finishing though - as much as I wanted to just WALK... I knew I would be mad at myself... and I have to do it again tomorrow! So I better be able to do it today! LOL

I had half a honey wheat bagel for breakfast with 1 tbsp light cream cheese and an apple. I just drank a 20 oz coffee so that's that so far!!!

Time to read some journals..... :)

Well good morning everyone! Happy Saturday! WOO! Here is my food log from yesterday:

Breakfast - Half honey wheat bagel w/light cream cheese, apple, coffee
Snack - Almonds, string cheese
Lunch - Turkey, lettuce, and very little mayo sandwich, low fat yogurt
Snack - Orange
Snack- Fat free pudding
Snack - Baked doritos

..... yeah.... I didn't have anything for dinner so I guess all I got was snacks!
I went to my friend's birthday party after and had some candy and crackers... I had a little soda but I wasn't feeling it so I switched to water. Stayed sober to get my friends home safe and sound :)

This morning when I woke up my right calf hurt... on top of that I only got 4 and half hours of sleep! UGH.... SO did not want to work out! But I made my better judgement and hopped to it!

Treadmill - 11 min run / 1 min walk (2x) / 6 min run / walk fast paced incline to 40 minutes.......... then I just did arms and abs, the usual. It was a LOT easier to run today for some reason! Yesterday was soooo hard! Any way... glad I can even stay on the treadmill for 40 minutes (which gets me about 3.2 miles) ... I used to barley be able to stay on it for 15!!!

I think I'm going to have some oatmeal for breakfast... maybe an egg to add some protein??? OH, and today I want to go to the store and buy some whey powder..... any suggestions? Thanks!!!

I have tried so many different protien powders over the years. My husband is not a breakfast guy so I've had him on shakes for years. Our favorite is one from Costco... not sure if you have one of those... it's a big bulk food warehouse kinda store. We bought there b/c it's SO expensive everywhere else. The brand is "Kaisen", I think ;) We would buy the vanillia and then add to it (ie: frozen fruit, coffee, chocolate). Just be careful to read the labels b/c some have aspertame in them.

Good for you getting up and working out this morning :hurray:
 
Thanks!! Yes there are Costco's around where I live but I don't know exactly where there are :-/ haha. But I will see if I can find that brand and I will keep in mind to stay away from aspertame. What is that anyway?/Why is it bad? Neve heard of it... I need to learn! lol

Aspartame has been a huge controversial topic for years. It's an artificial sweetner. Some say it causes carcinogens in the body which can cause cancer. I don't know if it was ever proved or denied, but I do know that most companies refuse to put it in thier produces b/c there has always been doubt. Very similiar to the contoversy over MSG, or McDonald's fries ;) It's not good for you in large doses so I figure I shouldn't put it in my shakes everyday.

Well good morning everyone..... here's the food log from yesterday:
Breakfast - Sugar free oatmeal, egg, toast, coffee
Snack - Almonds
Lunch - Half turkey, lettuce, mayo sandwich, granola bar, string cheese
Snack - Apple
Dinner - Caprese salad, mushroom ricotta ravioli (went out for a sweetest day dinner with my sweetie :) )
Dessert - Cupcake

I had 2 mimosa's after that and went to bed. I was sooo tired!!! Today is my off day from working out. I just had half a bagel with light cream cheese and fat free yogurt for breakfast.

Today me and my boyfriend are going to carve pumpkins!! Yay! And I could really go for a caramel apple... mmmmmm :drool5:

Looks like you're doing great! Seriously, I wish I could eat as well as you and have your same dedication to working out everyday :p MMm caramal apples sound sooo good. That's one of the things I LOVE about fall: all the delicious food!

Hey, thanks!! I COULD eat a little better... I've been snacking a little more lately which is no good!!! But this week I'm gonna be real good about it cuz I need to meet my Halloween goal!!

So yesterday.... I'll do a little recap. No work out. I had half a bagel w/ cream cheese and yogurt for breakfast. For lunch I had half of a turkey lettuce and mayo sandwich... then it went downhill from here lol: I had a caramel apple with nuts, some cinnamon sugar pumpkin seeds that we made after carving pumpkins :) TWO cupcakes (why does my boyfriends mom always have to have delicious treats sitting out whenever I'm ove there!!!??) and for dinner some mashed potatoes and "duck duck goose" (some stew). ALSO I drank 3 glasses of champagne and had 2 beers. SO.... yeah not healthy!!! LOL oh well.

This morning I went to the gym (had a small coffee on the way). I was supposed to do 12 min run / 1 min walk (2x) / 4 min run but after the first 12 minutes my left shin was REALLY hurting (probably from taking a day off of the treadmill! ugh!) so I could not finish. I stayed on the treadmill til 20 minutes, then I did the elliptical with resistance and incline for 20 minutes, rowing machine for 5, then usual arms/abs. I also bought some whey protein powder yesterday and made a smoothie this morning :) I used pineapple orange juice, 4 strawberries, some ice and one scoop of the powder. It was pretty good! I'm soooo full though!!!

Time to get ready for classes... UGH I hope this week goes by fast!!!!

Oatmeal and eggs for extra protein sounds like an excellent breakfast - not least because it is what I having this morning. :)

Lookin good girl :hurray: I love your confidence!! I used to take pics of myself like this, but it was as punishment. I would look at them with disgust so my husband made me stop. I love that you are doing it to celebrate yourself. That's just so awesome. You ROCK :D

ps: I did notice your room is cleaner in the second pic... keep that up too ;)
 
Can definitely see the difference- most around your tummy and the curve of your waist. Looks more toned. Great going!!! And good luck with the last 10 lbs.
 
I can see a difference too! I agree with juni, it's the curve of your waist that has changed =) KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK!! You motivated me to take a picture of myself to track the changes!
