Inspired, motivated, and READY!!! :)

Cord The Seeker - Thanks for stopping by! and thanks for the tips. I will keep it in mind! Yes it is somewhat difficult to live healthy in college, but I think I've finally found my way!

I'm feeling better this morning. That sleeping and resting all day yesterday helped a lot. Now it's time to RUN RUN RUN!!!!

That's so awesome!! Excellent work!
I can just imagine how excited you are because I know once I get there I will be pumped!! Keep it up over the weekend and hope that cold goes away for good! Keep it up!

so it was a little difficult to work out this morning... i thought i felt better but i really didn't. my intervals were supposed to be 4 min run 1 min walk, 6x but i could only do 4x because my head was like a balloon. hopefully tomorrow morning i can do the full set.

breakfast - half bagel w/ light cream cheese, egg, coffee
snack - granola bar, almonds
lunch - pb&j sandwich, grapes, pretzels
dinner - mini turkey sub from cousins

cals - about 1,300

time for sleep... goodnight!

Helloooooooo :)

Had an awesome morning! I completed my full set of intervals (run 4 min, walk 1, repeat 6x) and it felt great! I'm not really noticing a difference in how I look but I can feel it. The jeans I'm wearing are getting pretty loose! I had to stop wearing them at one point during my freshman year of college because they were my tightest pair. Not anymore! :) hah

One week til my "one month anniversary" of my new lifestyle! Pretty excited that I've been able to keep it up. I've NEVER committed to working out like this! I've worked out for 19 days straight so far LOL... there's no stopping me :)

Well.... that's all for now!

Good morning.

So yesterday was my day off. No work out. Plus, I was at a family party so there was all sorts of JUNK FOOD. Which I did indulge in because hey, I've been working pretty hard. I deserved it! I didn't feel bad about it. Though, I was full after my first plate of snack and continued to eat on a full stomach so I had a pretty bad stomache ache. I didn't eat a LOT like I normally would have, but a little bit of everything so it felt like a lot. Anyways... back to the grind today. I hit up the gym and did 40 minutes on the treadmill... intervals 5 min run, 1 min walk, repeat 5x. Running is getting easier for me! I'm feeling great.

Busy week ahead of me...... oh and THE PACKERS VS VIKINGS MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL TONIGHT..... SO PUMPED!!!!

~ Sarah

You are doing so good!! Good work over the weekend! I think after working out for 19 days straight your body needed that rest! Sounds like the cold is going away too! Keep it up - let's make this week one for the books!

A little depressed that the Packers lost.... yes I still love Favre but I had to root for my team.... we'll get em next time ;)

5 days left til it's been 1 month of my new lifestyle!

Good morning :)

Just took my first exam in my orginazational communications class... I think I did OK but I could have done better. Damn Packers game last night took away from my study time! lol.

So this morning I got up at 6:15... had a granola bar and hit up the gym! Week 3 of my training, today I was supposed to do 30 minutes easy walking buttttt I decided I wanted to get in a good workout so I ran intervals (5 min run, 1 min walk, 5x) and walked incline til I hit 40 minutes. I did some arm exercises and abs to wrap it up. Then I had a honey wheat bagel with cream cheese this morning.... it was pretty delicious. I'm gonna have to get some salad in for lunch today... I need som veggies!

Got one more exam to take (spanish) then one class left for the day... and then I'm going home and cuddling up and taking a nap!! It's a crappy day... a nap would be perfect :)

Well... hope you're all having a great day. Leave some love... leave something! I'll write back in your diary :)

Adios!

Hmph.

Well, FIRST OFF, let me tell you that I'm somewhat frustrated! Nothing serious, lol but this morning when I was making breakfast... I had 2 great let downs! I wanted to make an egg (over easy). So, I sprayed some cooking spray on the pan, cracked the egg on it and let the egg cook. But the cooking spray was turning my egg brown! It was so gross. When I flipped the egg the whole bottom of it was BROWN! YUCK! So I threw it on a little plate and as I was going to set it down on the counter, the plate flipped and the egg landed on the top of the dishwasher! The yolk trickled down the entire dishwasher and the egg was yolk-side-down on the floor :( Oh well... just a little mess :) I cleaned it up, rinsed out the gross pan, and put a new egg on. But I didn't put ANY cooking spray on. So it stuck to the pan and when it came time to flip it my poor egg landed into a little ball and once again, I was unsuccessful. I'm always good at making eggs! GRR. So my toast was cold that I made to eat with the egg. Not the most enjoyable breakfast, oh well.

ANOTHER thing, I have blisters on my feet from running yesterday. And they were still bad today but I decided I wanted to run still so I DID and now my feet are just killing me!!! How do I prevent these stupid blisters!? Ugh.

So it's 2 days til weigh in... kinda not looking forward to that. I feel like the scale is going to go up. Oh well though - if it happens, nothing to get discouraged over. Just a reason to push myself more.

I also decided to set some goals for myself. I'd like to be at 143 by Halloween, 135 by the beginning of December, and 130 *if possible* by January. I'm sure losing those last 5 pounds is going to be super hard, and I expect a plateau somewhere in there... but hopefully I can overcome any obstacles and meet those goals! I think they are pretty realistic.

Well, that's all for now. It's a sunny day today... just makes my mood better compared to yesterday when it was all rainy and yucky!

~ Sarah

bummer about the eggs girl!!!! lol... gotta love those starts to the morning hehe.

Keep up the good work! I like that you are setting goals for yourself! That will keep you motivated and moving when you are working out. The tough days are those dreary couch and jammmies watching movie days.... gotta get out there and work it!

glad to see u are still in the game!!!! Good luck at weight in!!! :)

Hey Hey Sarah!!! :D!! ...man that was a spurt of Bad Luck right there with the eggs..:cuss:. It's great that you were still able to eat though, even if it wasn't that good!...:)

...And your working out early in the morning is amazing!! :smash: Knocking those pounds out! ...I love going to bed early so that I can have energy to wake up in the morning, but it just doesn't seem to happen so often. Life gets me...and I go to bed at 1:30 am...almost everyday..and there's no way...6:30 out of the house, is going down! :(....

...What time do you go to sleep?

...Also, in regards to blisters....this Anti Chafe stick is Amazing. You can get it at Sporting Goods stores...Big 5, Sports Chalet, Running Stores....and it's basically, Heaven in a Stick for runners....you just use it like deoderant on your feet and WHALA....smooth sailing, no blisters, no chafing, and no pain....it costs like $5 :coolgleamA:!

...Either way...way to go girl...you are doing fantastic..and really motivating me to get up in the morning and get in my car and drive my ass to the gym...hahah!! :driving:

Thanks for the replies girls! It's been a little quiet in my diary lately apart from me babbling!

Alta - I usually go to bed around 10, but sometimes I stay up past 11. No later than midnight though (during the week). I still get up just as early though! I never choose sleeping in over working out. If I did, I don't think I'd find my way to the gym at the end of the day! And thanks for sharing the info about that glide stick. I will definitely have to get that!! My blisters are horrible... I could barely walk today! :(

Here's the food log so far today....

Breakfast - 1 egg, 2 pieces toast w/butter, skim milk
Snack - Banana
Lunch - Half turkey mayo feta cheese sandwich, slim fast optima shake

I plan to have a baked potato and a salad tonight for dinner. Maybe some canned peaches for dessert. If I get hungry before dinner, I'm going to have some almonds or celery. I feel better about planning what I'm going to have. I don't feel like I have to throw a bunch of stuff together or give in to any temptation when deciding what to eat. Just gotta plan it out and stick to it! Pretend like that's all I have to eat! Lol maybe that will help. No, it will be easy :)

did it :)

So I did stick to my plan... for a snack between lunch and dinner I had 15 almonds. And for dinner, I had a small salad with feta cheese and balsamic vinaigrette dressing, and a baked potato with butter... yum! :) I feel like I did pretty good today with balancing my meals. Fruits and veggies are always good!:Angel_anim: My total caloric intake for the day was 1,235. Not bad.

I think I'm going to bike and do the elliptical tomorrow morning instead of the treadmill... my blistered feet need a break from running :ack2:

Can't wait for tomorrow.... looking at some houses and hopefully finding one that we can sign for next school year!!! Then I'll be headed home for a fun weekend of working and relaxing :coolgleamA:

I'm so anxious to weigh myself Friday morning... eek! I'm gonna try to do good again with eating tomorrow so hopefully I see something I like when I step on the scale!

Goodnight!!!
~ Sarah

Good morning good morning good morning!

Good morning everyone :) I'm having a wonderful day so far :) First of all, it's THURSDAY which is the end of the school week for me. Yay! Secondly, I had a nice workout this morning, my blisters are healing so I was not in pain! Third, I get to look at houses tonight and hopefully find the perfect place to live next year! And LASTLY.... my first class of the day is cancelled :) WOOOHOOO!!! That totally made my day, haha.

So this morning for breakfast I had my Slim Fast Optima "shake" (it's really more like strawberry milk, lol) and 2 eggs scrambled for a total of 340 calories. And my egg adventure this morning went way better than yesterday :) Hah!

Well, I guess that's all for now. Tomorrow is my weigh in... I'm SUPER nervous! I guess it's just because the weight has been coming off pretty quickly, and now I'm scared that it's going to come to a stop or just come off reeealllllyyy sllloooowww. Which I know that is normal, but I'm so anxious to meet my goals!!! I'm terribly impatient :( I'll update this later. Leave some love :)

Hi Sara,
I'm the same way around weigh-in, very anxious! I'm sure you will do good :) I so wish today was my Friday - I always live for the weekends and this weekend I have some plans to go out so that is also exciting.
House hunting is so much fun so hopefully you find what you are looking for. Thinking back to my University days you should be so proud for how good you are doing! I could never follow a healthy eating plan and get all that working out in like you are, while still going to class! I loved showing up for class and having a note on the door that the class was cancelled! Good way to start your weekend. Can't wait to hear how you make out tomorrow.
Cheers until then :cheers2:

Yesterday was clearly a bad day for making eggs.

I was making eggs for my daughter, and I always flat-crack them on the counter. This time, the whole egg shattered (and it was an extra-large), and it all slipped right into the space between the counter and the stove. Yuck!

Good luck on your weigh-in tomorrow, I'm sure it will go fine. Remember that we don't always lose weight in a nice steady curve. Sometimes it is a little erratic. But you're doing well in general, so don't sweat it.

Good job so far on your journey.

Heh I see you have blistered feet as well. I had 4 blisters, two under two toenails which fell off so I'm down two toe nails. :-| Not a good look when wearing open toe shoes.

I see you update with your food log. I think I need to start doing a food log in my diary as well. I actually need to get on more.

Good luck on your weigh in tomorrow! Don't be nervous!!
