Inspired, motivated, and READY!!! :)

As far as the ravioli goes, you can not let one meal effect you. This is a lifestyle!! Do you honestly think that every single meal for the rest of your life will be healthy. Let me answer that one for you, NO!!!

Figure out the calories and move on. It's not going to hurt you. You will be fine.

Amen to THAT! I see so many people make progress and then lose focus or give up just because of one bad meal, one bad day, or one bad week.
You're not striving for perfection, just health. Thankfully, a few mistakes here and there wont put all those pounds back right away.
Remember, it was a long series of bad food and fitness choices that lead you to where you are, not just one.

This is a learning experience and a lot of times you cant learn without a few mistakes. :)

A remember a few weeks into my weight loss, I ate almost a whole thing of cookies by myself. :smilielol5: It was very upsetting at the time. Now I can look back and laugh at how I thought the world was going to end.

It IS kind of funny. Like.... REALLY, a can of ravioli ruined my night? ha ha:smilielol5: I'm OVER IT!!!!!!

Had a nice workout this morning, did 30 min tredmil fast walking incline, 20 minutes elliptical cross ramp thing ( i always forget the name of it!), 5 minutes on the rowing machine (man i wonder if i could last longer than that.. tuff stuff!) and then my abs routine.

I have a pain in my left shin.. it's really bothering me, i can feel it when i'm even just walking!! :banghead:i think my shoes are NOT meant for running. i'm getting some nike high performance running shoes in the mail soon tho... YES!!!!

ONE MORE CLASS TODAY!!!!!! Hello weekend!!!!
~Sarah

Good luck girlie! You do already look amazing!!! As for your shin...make sure you are stretching after a 5-10 mins warm-up and also stretch AFTER as well.

I know... I ALWAYS forget to stretch!!!! And I have pain in my right knee... GREAT. I don't know what to do. Should I take it easy or keep working out but try not to put too much stress on my knees? (the elliptical thing with the incline is to blame i think) i REALLY don't want to stop running, i am trying to train for this 5k and I want to be ready for it. The pain in my knee comes and goes... it's not excruciating but it does bother me, like i want to massage it out but i cant! :( :( :( help!

here's the food for today.....

breakfast - 2 pieces toast w/ butter, 1 egg, cup of skim milk
snack - mixed nuts
lunch - jimmy john's veggie sub UNwich (by leaving out the bread you save urself about 250 calories!)
dinner - salisbury steak w/ a little mashed potatoes

total calories - 1, 248
total water - 56 oz

well that's all for now... good nighttt

Hey Sarah, Looks like you're doing a really great Job.

I too have terrible pain in my arms, joints etc.. but it'll be fine within a week. I used to have pain in my legs for almost a week but now its fine. Just be patient, its just that your body doesn't want to do all those workout :p

Anyways, don't stop exercising. Pain will wash away in 3-4 days by itself. If you have intolerable pain, then you can take a painkiller. Note that Painkiller is NOT good for health. Overdose is fatal.

For then, best of luck!!!

P.S. How do you make sandwich w/o bread?

Thanks!!! Ya, the pain is tolerable. It is a little bothersome... but I hope it does go away soon!!

And the UNwich thing... lol they just make the sub in a big leaf of lettuce. so it's basically a lettuce wrap, but the name for it is an "un wich" ... they are pretty good :) tho i'm a sucker for that sub bread... it was hard to resist!!!

Hey everyone!!! SO today was the big day... my weigh in.

Last Friday I weighed 152.2 - and THIS Friday (today) I weigh 148.8! :)

YaY! Time for work! Leave some love :)

I know it's very early on and you are only two weeks into your journey and you have have done an amazing job. Remember this is not about "losing weight". Sure you want to lose some pounds but the main focus for you is to learn a lifestyle that you can live with for a looonnngggg time.

Once again, congrats and KEEP IT UP!!!!

matt - thanks for reading my journal and leaving replies! i appreciate your feedback :) i do agree that it's not really about losing weight. it should be about feeling good and being healthy, and adjusting to a new lifestyle. however, i am so impatient to see results that i think weight loss is more important right now. i know that it is not, but being that it's only been 2 weeks and i already have great results, it makes me want more! i want to know where i will be in a month, 2 months, 3 months from now. BUT the scale does not measure my pride, and my pride is far more pleasing then seeing the pounds dropped.

anand - i started this whole thing september 11th. that was the day i weighed in at 155.8.. i have worked out every single morning since the 15th :)

i'll update this later with today's food intake/calories :)

hope everyone's having a great weekend!

What are your three favorite restaurants? Chins Asia Fresh, Panera Bread Company, Cousins Subs.
What are three things you can do differently when it comes to food? Smaller portions, incorporate more veggies/fruits.

In terms of exercise, what, if anything, are you currently doing? Running! Sit ups, weights, machines at the gym.
