I will be skinny again!!!

So just about to set off to work and I thought I'd drop in.
Apparently in one day I've gone up 7 pounds. As in, one morning at's at about 201-202, but I thought I'll wait until I get that reading again before changing it, and by last night I'd gone up to 208-209.
I now trust my scales even less. Yes I ate bad yesterday but I didn't eat a lot of it!

Although I have suddenly started drinking a lot more, maybe the majority of my loss was water weight?
Anyhoo, I'm going to drop my calories back to around 1200-1300 again, because once I went up to 15/600 I've apparently gone up, and the only day I could have gone massively over was yesterday, but I don't think I did.

Ah well.
No breakfast again, I can't eat this early, it's poo.
May get something sweet from the coffe shop on the way down, really really bad but at least I'm eating. Then I'll be super good all day.

In a take-away pizza (say a pepperoni standerd size) there are 350 calories per slice. So if you ate it all it's 2800 (approx) without the Cafe Nero stuff as well. A small frappe latte is over 300 calories so you're just throwing away your breakfast calories on really unhealthy stuff. I really want you to reach your goals but you seem to be slipping off the wagon a little :( I know starting a new job can throw you off balance a little but you need to get exercising and pack your own lunches or something to avoid eating the restaurants yummy food!

I don't mean to sound like a mahoosive demon-bitch, but I don't want you to fall off the wagon and never get back on. Hope today is healthy and happy <3

I don't eat pepperoni pizza because of that... The fat you can see on top eurgh. I had chicken and sweetcorn and half a pizza and thin crust.
My problem on a morning is I feel ill when I get up early, and I physically cannot eat on a morning.
And with the food thing, we have to eat the food unless it's a case of being allergic or vegetarian. The point of the restaurant (without going into too much detail because of confidentiality) is that everyone gets the same training, so every staff member is as knowledgable about the food and drinks as each other. We have to be able to describe the foods.
Also because the lunch is the tasting, we're being taught at the same time so we can't just go out for some lunch because we'll miss loads, and we get tested.
It is a bit annoying but at the same time, it's not like it's all processed crap.
It's the best cheeses, the best olive oil, all fresh veg delivered that morning, the veg has just been picked, the meat (chicken for example) reaches us just 3 days after it is selected, all ready and used on the grill that very day.
I can see where you're coming from, but I'm still getting a ton more walking and stair climbing and lifting in, and I'm only drinking sugar free squash and still not snacking.
The only annoying thing is they don't do skimmed milk whatsoever at work. But then again we're only allowed one coffee per shift.
The coffee in the mornings is kind of a social thing here, almost everyone comes in with various coffees and go over to caffe nero in the breaks etc.

Like I said though, I can see where you're coming from and understand why you're saying it, I don't mean to sound like I've got an answer for everything in this post, it does come across that way without meaning to.

It's grill tomorrow though, so thats all nice and healthy lean chicken with no skin etc, but it's also wine tasting, which again is compulsory. And staff drinks after work..
Balls..
Good job since the pizza my evening meals are looking back up.

I feel a bit stupid today.
I got on the scales, haven't properly in a few days so I thought I should, to check the damage.
It was much lower than usual, and I got down to the floor after I'd weighed myself to look at what the lines meant.
Turns out I'd been reading it all wrong all this time.
I was out by two whole pounds!

Which means when I though I was the same I'd actually dropped two, and by this morning...

I'm 200!!
I've lost over a stone!
And I have a really cool BMI :p

It has ben down there the other day then there was a massive fluctuation, that seen as though it dropped again really suddenly was probably a mistake or too much sodium or something.
Still TOM, but not getting chocolate cravings or anything, just insanely bad cramps from time to time, makes me want to sleep!! THink I'm doing pretty well again all things considering.
Yesterdays pasta was no where near as bad as I thought it would be, due to how little I actualy ate. It was literally a strand of pasta for some of then, a spoon of rissotto, forkful of linguine, couple of prawns, a clam, etc
But because it was pasta, I was stuffed afterwards! They were offering lasagne to people too and I was like, no I can't eat any more!

My food hasn't been brilliant, but at least my portions have been small.
I've had my protein still, and some veg.
Today will be good.

Overall probably realy good today, had various salady stuff with the grill stuff.
Little bit tipsy right now. Typing has become extremely hard despite only a small amount to drink.
Back tomorrow with a hangover no doubt.

Not hungover, but I really want more sleep!
I've had quite a bit but we have to be in earlier this morning so I can't just sit around and come round.
Will try to actually have something that can be called breakfast today, even if it's only a yoghurt or something.

Scales were still low this morning :)
Feeling a bit confident about it, a little bit more trusting of my scales.
The food at work is amazing!
I have now tried everything on the menu (that I would eat) and I can tell you, the desserts are to die for!
The panna cotta was soooo creamy, and the tiramasu was so varied in texture and the perfect ratio of coffee to sweetness.
I could go on all day but I won't, it's making me want more!

I was good too, only one forkful of each, when I could have almost had a whole one of each.
Some veggies, a little pasta, fish, squid, unfortunately some was deep fried but like I said I had next to nothing.
Will fill it in properly in a bit seen as though I haven't had tea yet.

Yesterdays food.

Breakfast None
Lunch Various fish, veg, salads and puddings
Tea Spicy chicken and Rice
Snacks Big chunk of cucumber

My food has been low in quantity but I've been full. Not sure if I'm eating enough or not because its too hard to track calories.

My Wii Fit says 200 too.
So it's real lol
It's not my crappy scales.

I feel good :)
Feel crap about work, I'm stressed and nervous and could cry, but I feel good physically.

I am wearing size 16 jeans comfortably, if a little bit on my legs.

Eating at work today.
Properly, not just loads of tasters.
So not a clue what I want.
Have a headache this morning, think I need more sleep.
:(

So.. It's been a while.
I've started shift work again so it's hard fitting in everything into just 24 hours a day!

Mondays food.
Breakfast None
Lunch Meat antipasti for one, small portions and relatively healthy stuff, prosciutto, pear and pecorino salad, masses of leafy stuff and pine nuts etc, then a few forks of tagliatelle.
Tea Cheese burger and chips while out. Ate the burger, on ciabatta bread, ate about 10 chips, they were small chips though.
Supper Don't think I had any.
Snacks Should alcohol come under here? I had a fair bit unfortunately. Staff drinks after work. Two archers and cranberry, red feather cocktail, bottle of cherry beer.
Actually not that much volume wise but I was fairly drunk. I can't seem to handle my alcohol anymore..

Tuesday food.
Breakfast None, I know it's bad but when I get up early I can't eat.
Lunch Subway, 6 inch turkey, single cheese, salad, no sauce. Honey oat bread. A couple of bites (about 4 inch max) or my boyfriends meatball sub with extra cheese! I'd been up too long without eating. Not happy at myself!
Tea Sausage pasta. Barely ate any. ABout 1.5 sausages, standard portion at most of pasta, some low fat tomato sauce.
Supper Curly Wurly

Todays food.
Breakfast None
Lunch None (Worked crappy shift today.
Tea Pasta surprise. Staff dinner after work, loads of diff pastas and bread for us to pick and choose from, I had a small portion of pumpkin risotto and spaghetti bolognaise.
Supper Not sure what yet but having something tea like because I'm pretty much classing my tea as my lunch/
Snacks Been bad today, two huge muffins and 4 jaffa cakes, and a LARGE cosmopolitan. Not finished it yet I'm working my way through it :p

However...
Despite horrendous food, I have done a stupid amount of exercise these past few days. Mainly at work, we have two bars, so filling the ice wells involves carrying two full buckets of ice at a time, up two flights of stairs about 3/4 times. Then the same but one flight of stairs.
Including other jobs I probably did about 40 flights of stairs today, no joke!

People have started to notice now. My stepdad told my mum he thought I'd lost weight.
And my size 16 jeans are big on my thighs already!

All in all, while not the most structured or overall healthy diet, it's still varied and nothing is particularly high fat its all mainly high carb.
I'm still maintainging/losing.
My scales are still at 200, but I'm smaller. So I reckon it's a bit of muscle gain combined with a bit of fat loss. But I'll measure myself later to see properly.

Scales are 2 pounds lower than last time I was here. Not a lot given its been like forever! But I'm working all hours of every day.
I don't have time to eat or sleep, so I'm just spinning in cirlces, washing and ironing shirts, showering and working.
Some days I get in two or three balanced meals, others I'm lucky to eat once.
On a split I go in in the am, have pasta at 3pm, then eat again when I get home about 2am.
It rubbish and I know it, but I'm just not hungry when I work so much.
I'm getting in a stupid amount of exercise because of it but luckily, because it knows I'm not eating enough my weight loss has halted. Which is good. I don't want to lose weight like this because its a slippery slope.
I fully intend to get back on it after my music festival in three weeks time.
I will try and eat better until then but once that has passed my work and life in general should be easier to manage!
Will update again soon hopefully.

Gah, I'm barely eating anything and exercising but my scales have decided to inch back up!!
Only by like half a pound but I'm not happy!
On an early today at work so I can have some breakfast quickly before I go, then will eat again about half 6 tonight. No time for lunch unfortunately.
Need to start eating again. And sleeping for that matter.
12 hours on thursday, 8.5 hours friday, and in again for 7 today.
Finished at 1 this morning and I'm starting at 10 :( 4 hours sleep go me!

Hi, I noticed that you don't eat breakfast? Are you doing this for weight loss,
or for some other reason? I am asking because in order to reach your ideal
weight and create a lean, healthy body, eating breakfast is a must.

In fact it should be the biggest meal of the day, and should contain non-refined
starchy carbs (like oatmeal), a small vegetable, a small fruit, and some lean
protein, maybe small piece of chicken breast, and also maybe a small amount
of walnuts.

This is only an example of course, but the fact remains that the majority of
people that regularly skip breakfast have problems achieving permanent fat loss.

This is only logical if you think about it. Your body needs macro-nutrients
(healthy carbs, proteins and fats) and micro-nutrients (vitamins, minerals) and
water on a regular basis. This is 24/7/365, period!

If these things are not provided by the food that you eat, plus the water that
you drink, there will be serious consequences. They include hunger,
dehydration, and eventually health problems.

The ultimate approach for creating a lean, healthy, attractive body for a
woman (this is around 15% body fat) is to eat 5 small meals every 3 walking
hours during the day, and to structure your meals in such a way, that they
all contain healthy carbs (50-60%) protein (20-30%) fat (20-30%), yes in
each meal these macronutrients must be available. Plus you must drink
plenty of water during the day, and avoid drinking any of your daily calories
from any sugar-based drinks.

And, obviously if you want to completely burn off all the unwanted body
weight that you currently have, 50% of your success will come from doing
cardio-training on a daily basis. Fast walking is the ultimate cardio-exercise
for a woman to use in order to reach her ideal body weight.

Once the ideal weight is reached and you continue to use proper nutrition,
you can choose other exercises if you want, or you can keep using fast
walking to maintain your weight, and just cut back to 3 times per week,
and add resistance training three times per week to slowly increase your
muscle mass, that most likely has been lost because of poor nutrition.

Losing unwanted body fat is very hard, and since most people only track
weight loss, they don't see that they are mostly losing water and muscle,
but the fact remains, to create permanent fat loss you will have to use a
different strategy, otherwise it will be almost impossible to achieve your
primary health goal.

Start slowly, but if you want to create your dream body you will have to
re-structure your whole approach. Hope this doesn't sound harsh, I am
trying to be honest with you, because I see that you really have a desire
to create the kind of body that you will be proud off.

Hey AlexPlatups,
Thanks for your advice and taking the time out to post on here.
The problem I have a the moment is I'm doing shift work, and sometimes up to 9 hours straight.
The reason I'm not eating breakfast is purely accidental. I'll get up for work then before I know it it's time to set off or I'll wake up and be too tired still to eat. Or just plain not hungry.
I'm not even eating enough at the moment, not for my activity level, so the thing I'm concentrating on at the moment is just geting into a habit of getting up, eating, working, eating etc rather than just working!

the thing I'm concentrating on at the moment is just geting into a habit of
getting up, eating, working, eating etc rather than just working!

Red, this is a very good habit to get into, eating at least 4 times per day,
about every four hours, and to try to make all your meals about the same
size, with breakfast being the biggest.

Breakfast is the most IMPORTANT meal of the day, please do not skip it.

Remember that your body must get everything from its food for it to function
properly, and it is your job to provide it with all the macronutrients (carbs,
protein, good fats) and micro-nutrients (vitamins, minerals that are in food)
through out the day.

If you start to eat 4 average sized meals every 4 hours, you will see how
your energy will skyrocket (of course, you have to eat whole-food that is
not refine, and not processed) and you will want to exercise, and will want
to create the kind of body you are dreaming about
