I will be skinny again!!!

So two months down the line and I'm only two pounds up.
I went to Download Festival, dranks lots and ate pot noodles and chinese food all week.
Only put on like 4 pounds so I've lost two again since then.
I lost/quit my job, so I've moved back home because I couldn't afford to rent in the city through the summer, but my mum is on a diet now so I'm tagging along to get her to buy healthier food for me.
My activity level has gone from really high to quite literally nothing.
I walk to 3 miles every other Wednesday, the odd bit around town maybe twice a week but thats about it.
Luckily because I caught my eating in time before I piled on the weight again, I am now only 2/3 pounds above what I was, taking me to around 200. The scales fluctuate from 200-205. Depends if they got wet when someone had a shower in the morning. THe most common reading is 201 though, I'm like 201 every other day, with days inbetween ranging from 200-205, sometimes more, one morning they said 207, then within half an hour, when I was wearing more clothes they said 201.
Weird.
So I don't pay too much attention to them anymore.

Food wise, I'm eating way better these last two days. Yes I ate two packets of biscuits in as many days, but now there are none left so temptation is out of the way :p

I had no other snacks and all my meals were really good so i can forgive myself the biscuits this once.

So.. Todays food
Breakfast 3 slices of ham, spinach, watercress, rocket and red chard salad, with two scrambled eggs, goats cheese and cheddar.
Lunch Packet of biscuits, small packet though, only 150g so not as bad as it could have been had I had digestives for example.
Tea Fried chicken with garlic, sea salt, and chilli flakes, on a bed of rocket, spinach, watercress and red chard with 5 cherry tomatoes and a handful of beansprouts.
Snacks two and a half slices of ham, small chunk of brie, rocket, spinach etc salad and 3 cherry tomatoes.
Drinks 1.5 pints sugar free squash

I'm not calorie counting anymore, its too time consuming and stresses me out way more than its worth.
My mum is following the New Atkins Diet.
Which is basically the old one but with more carbs lol.
So I'm basically taking that and giving myself a little more freedom.
I'm eating high protein meals, with little carbs, such as lower carb cheeses, soy milk, and no peas/sweetcorn etc.
No bread, pasta or rice, only very low carb fruit, avocados are alright on the plan but they're rank :p
Only plain chicken, not breaded or marinaded unless I've done it.
No potato things with my meals, no yorkshire puddings, no puddings of any kind!
I'll have like 1 scoop of ice cream or something if I want something sweet, instead of an entire bowl!
I'm feeling fuller for longer on the high protein things. Before I was combining high protein with highish carbs but low fat. Now its high protein normal fat (lower than what I ate before, I meant normal for healthy people :p) and low carbs and fullness wise its working, gunna take a few days off the scales and see how good it really is working. I'm out for a friends birthday on thursday though which might really throw it off.

So I got on the scales again today and they said 203, but I'm not properly starting my diet with an aim to lose weight until after tomorrow night.
Friday morning can be my official weigh morning, I'm out thursday night and I WILL NOT be buying a pizza on the way home like I used to!
Unless my boyfriend wants one bringing back, in which case I might eat the cheese off a few slices in the taxi :p

Todays food
Breakfast Was asleep, whoops. Didn't get up until around 11am so my first meal was at lunchtime
Lunch Chicken breast on a salad of rocket, watercress, spinach, red chard, cherry tomatoes and bean sprouts, with soft goats cheese and cucumber.
Tea Chicken and cheese omlette with RWSRB salad
Supper Haven't had one as of yet, don't think I will tonight
Snacks Bowl of ice cream, well, two small bowls over the period of the day, two small chocolate digestives. In bewteen lunch and tea I had 3 cherry tomatoes, a slice of ham and a small square of brie.
Drinks 2 pints of sugar free squash, and a mouthful or so of soy milk.

The salad I keep having is ready made, so I just pluck handfuls outs of a bag, so when I say I've had RWSR salad, its the rocket and spinach thingy. If there is a B on the end it means I had bean sprouts too.
It's becoming a big part of my eating plan, which is weird because I absolutely hate cooked spinach, but raw I love it :)
When I have cheese I have really small amounts, like less than the recommended 30g.
I had what I thought was a big portion of cheese but when I weighed it it was only 28g, which means all the other times I've had cheese I've had next to none.
I'm getting a little bit stuck for meals, I don't mind eating the same meal over and over but I feel like its not good for me, not varied enough.
But it has protein, veg and fats in, with a little bit of carb from the tomatoes.
Going shopping tomorrow so will make my mum buy in bags and bags of the RWSR salad stuff. Need more eggs too because she's obsessed with them!

Gah, silly forum!! made me go back a page so I lost my entry. :(
Gunna start noting down carbs now because I'm doing it properly from today.
Weigh in from this morning was 200 exactly.
Drank way too much last night and ate when I said I wasn't gunna but ah well.
Not gunna list yesterdays food again coz like I said I'm starting properly from today anyway.

Todays Food
Breakfast Was up but just drank loads of juice and ate breakfast at lunch time
Lunch Two fried eggs, two rashers of bacon and a handful of button mushrooms
Tea Turkey and prawns on spinach and watercress with goats cheese and cherry tomatoes
Supper Two scrambled eggs on spinach and watercress with cheddar cheese and three slices of ham
Snacks Mocha pudding, which consists of cocoa, double cream, splenda, instant coffee and vanilla essence
Drinks 3 pints of sugar free squash and a glass of soy milk

Net Carbs - 17.65

A little low on carbs, gunna eat more mushrooms and broccoli and stuff tomorrow. Doesn't help that watercress is "free", and you have to have an insane amoun tof spinach for it to count.
According to the book 30g of cheddar is 0.4g of net carbs, but according to the back of the cheese packet, 100g is 0.1g... So I'm a little confused, gunna assume my mum accidentally bought good cheddar, not that I'm complaining, its also relatively low calorie compared to my goats cheese and especially the brie!!
Feeling good overall, not missing carbs at all, especially now I have recipes for sweet stuff, I'm not wanting to reach for the biscuits of cakey things, or the ice cream for that matter.
I feel like I can do this, I'm not depriving myself of stuff, I'm not getting hungry, and I can see myself eating like this, well not so much like I am coz its really strict on the carbs during induction, but I could eat like this pretty much for life.

Today was good, not on the scales, but lucky me, my body decided that the second day of my new diet was the perfect time to get my period :(
However, I got on again a little later and they were lower, so I tried again even later and they were lower still, despite a normal amount of trips to the loo and eating and drinking in between the weigh ins.
So I'm taking no notice of them until next friday unless its an obvious change.
Managed to get in more carbs today, had a glass of soy milk instead of just a small bit, and had more tomatoes and mushrooms than other days.
Counted my calories in my head too, roughly to be fair, but it seems quite good. Not sure how much is in the soy milk, but I had up to 500 in cheese, a lot but it was the main focus of my snack and some in my main meal too. Then I had two eggs, say 160 ish, 120 in bacon, not many more coz it was all vegetables apart from that and a chicken breast. The mocha pudding only has the calories of two tablespoons of cream, about 100.
So I think, judging by how little cheese I eat on other days compared to the amount today (I just used up what brie was already open, and a hell of a lot of oily stuff melted out and wasn't actually used in my meal, but I still started with a ton more than I normally eat raw) that I've been pretty good calorie wise.

Anyway, down to business
Breakfast Two eggs, 1.5 rashers of bacon and button mushrooms
Lunch Three slices of ham wrapped around cheddar cheese and sliced cherry tomatoes, microwaved and eaten warm and gooey :) again a lot of oily grease came out that I didn't eat.
Tea Baked chicken breast filled with brie, on a bed of spinach, watercress and beansprouts with three cherry tomatoes
Supper Turkey steaks and three slices of ham and a chunk of cucumber
Snacks Mocha pudding (cream, cocoa, splenda, coffee and vanilla essence) and a chocolate pudding, same as mocha but no coffee. 1 Bourbon biscuit :( not counting thats carbs though.. way too much sugar in it.
Drinks 2.5 pints sugarfree squash and a glass of soy milk

Net Carbs - 19.65

Done well today I think, probably not enough of my carbs coming from veg, but I'll get more used to adjusting that as I go on.

Going for a walk soonish, to a pub, where I'm going to have a glass of water while my boyfriend has a coke, then back down the huge hill again.
Not necessarily a long walk, but its uphill, and bloody steep!!
Plus its really unusual for me to go for a walk, I normally hate it, but that could be the usual company...

Come to think of it, I ate about 100g of cheese today, when normally I have between 40g and 60g a day. Wow that was a lot more! I realised when I was making my lunch that I'd cut too much cheese, but I used it anyway.. Gunna have to work on that!

Did my walk :)
Walked for half an hour, briskly. Well I was a little bit sweaty and my breathing slightly laboured, but thats not saying much given my lung situation.
No pub so no temptations, gunna do it three times a week and build up to a 5 mile walk, did a fair bit tonight, just gunna google map it and see how far I walked... 1.3 mile apparently, not too bad.

I did taste, literally only a taste, my boyfriends ice cream when we got back, not even a teaspoons worth, and then I ate a bourbon biscuit!!
I was trying to avoid sugary stuff and I went and ruined it.
Now my boyfriend is waving sweets at me lol, I really really want one, but I'll feel so guilty, although I won't notice a sugar rush or crash coz I'm about to go to sleep, I'm just hoping it won't set off cravings tomorrow....
Argh I dunno.. I really want it but its cheating.. But...
:(
I haven't had a sweet since I restarted, in fact even before that, I've had like 3 starburst in the last month....
I don't want to use food as a reward but I think I deserve it...
I may regret this but I'm gunna eat it.
Feel free to all come on here and shout at me!! lol

I ate it, wasn't as good as I was expecting, but I don't regret it either.. Especially not as my scales said 199 this morning :)
Not updating yet though coz my body goes nuts with its fluctuations so I'm waiting til I get the reading more than once.

Supper 5 slices of ham wrapped around 60g of cheddar cheese, spinach and sliced button mushrooms

Think I'm gunna go for another walk today, probably the same one as yesterday, just try and do it quicker this time.
1.3 milles isn't far but it's definitely a start!
Building up to a 5 mile walk, will do this short one for a week or so, then jsut go up and down the tramway next week, shorter distance but its a massive hill!, then up the tramway, along the road to the village and back down the week after, then hopefully eventually walk up the tramway, over the moor to the village, then back down.
However I'm away in Middlesbrough training for my new job soon so the walking might get put on hold, and thats for two whole weeks!! Then straight after that I start my new job.
So I have 5 weeks until I move to Leeds with my boyfriend (back home at the moment) not including the two weeks I'm away, so hopefully, before I move I should be able to complete the 5 mile one :)

So nervous about the training, hope to get a fair bit of weight off before then, cos we'll get our uniforms and stuff, so if I can be in the next dress size, then I won't need a new uniform for a while.
Also nervous because I'll either be getting the train there every day, resulting in about 5 hours travelling a day, out of the house from 5:45am to 8pm, or I'll be in a B&B, meaning eating out every night! Although I think I'll probably buy in pot noodles for my boyfriend and just buy salads from a supermarket for me.
My boyfriend jsut told me we can't afford for him to come with me, so he has to stay at home with my mum and stepdad while I'm away, yet I know he won't eat or anything coz he doesn't feel right helping himself and stuff.
It's stupid, I just remembered when I was talking to him about it, the guy at my interview told me my training would be in Leeds....
Need to ring up on monday anyway and convince them to let me stay in Middlesbrough, but now my boyfriend won't be coming with me I don't want to stop over. I'd rather do 13hour days for two weeks.
I just feel like crying right now, not only is my start date a month earlier than they said, the training is over 50 miles away from where they said it would be and they expect me to travel everyday, and it now clashes with a hospital appointment that I cannot miss, so I'll have to have time off a brand new job.. It's all messed up :(

Didn't walk due to boyfriend not feeling well, but we're going over to Harrogate tomorrow and will get to walk his parents dog :)
I feel like I have eaten loads today yet my calories probably aren't too bad and my carbs are really low!
16.5! or was it 15.6?
Hmmm.. It's written down downstairs lol
The worst thing for calories again is the cheese, although it was only about 75g today, and the cream, probably about 500 calories in all from both, yet again a lot of fat was wasted because of the way I cooked the cheese, and the cream is a massive overestimate because it's better to go over than be under in my estimate.

It was 15.6 lol
Had to get up at 6:15 today! Just so my boyfriends brother won't miss his delivery lol
I don't mind really, gets me out of the house and we get to walk Toby :)
Had to stop at asda and buy some food though because we didn't expect his parents to have anything in, at least not anything suitable for me.
Which they didn't lol
So all day I'm eating ham, cherry tomatoes, goats cheese and RSWR salad thingy.
Woo
Should only be here til tea time ish so I'll have a real meal when I get back home.

Need to ring up about the training today and ask if I can move to a Leeds training instead and explain about the insane cost and time it will use.

What is the job your training for mate? (sorry if you've said before..I'm blonde! :p)

Also, I am SO hungry after seeing your food post about stuffed chicken with brie. Dear god, it sounds like an orgasm on a plate.

I'm going to be a customer advisor for Halifax bank.
WIll explain more later having a massive stupid thing with student finance
gah

First guy we spoke to was an idiot, and said he couldn't give us the evidence we need, so i tried to ring the benefit people, but they apparently close at 5 despite it saying 8 online, so I rang back the loans people and got a different guy who said all the stuff we need should be with us in less than a week :)
All sorted lol
The woman from Leeds Met was really helpful too, she sent me a copy of the letter attached to the email within 4 minutes of me emailing!

Right, my new job... My training now starts in September, like they said originally, and its in Leeds, like they said originally.. Wow I've had a productive day lol
I'm going to be a cashier in a bank :)
I get two weeks written training, with exams and stuff, and then three weeks of observing and being observed, then I start officially. Lots of targets and chances for promotion so I'm happy :)

HOWEVER
My food today took a biiiiiiiiig downhill plunge!

I ate crisps.. And sweets!!
Whoops
But my actual food has been really good :)
So I can forget it and get back on track tomorrow, well, now actually. No more sweets or crisps today at all!!

And yeah, the chicken and brie thing is AMAZING!
And the one with the mushrooms in is even better still! Obviously only if you like mushrooms though.
I cooked it too long the other day though so it was a bit tough, but I'm getting there. I've never cooked so much in my life! I'm actually "creating" dishes now :)

So..
Overall yesterday was a washout, but it's my TOM so I'm not caring too much.
Today has been good, although I really should eat now, I'm getting really hungry and you're not meant to let yourself get hungry.. Whoops.
I've been so busy today.
Sorting out the study took hours, and there ws so much lifting and climbing stairs and ladders!
Didn't get up until quite late so todays food is a little messy time wise.
Todays Food
Breakfast Two slices of ham with cheddar cheese and cherry tomatoes
Lunch Prawns and Goats cheese on a RSWR salad with cherry tomatoes
Tea Two fried eggs with two rashers of bacon and a load of button mushrooms.
Supper Two rashers of bacon with mushrooms and grilled cheese
Snacks Chocolate pudding
Drinks 3 pint sugarfree squash

Waited way too long between lunch and tea today, just finished my food and feel really hungry still. I know it was only a smallish portion but I needed something warm and that I could cook really quick. I intend to have a larger snack tonight, but right now I feel like eating loads more.
Gunna make a pudding thing and see how I feel after that.
Going for a walk tonight because Martin wants some coke so I'll probably just have a large meal when we get in from that because walking make me hungry anyway.
Maybe a tuna salad or something, or salmon :)

Not feeling so hungry now I've had my pudding and settled down more.
Going to go on my dance mat :)
Haven't been on that in like forever! Should be funny...
Now where the hell are the lead for the PS2.....

Well the scales said 199 again this morning so it's being updated :)
Doesn't count as a loss to me until after 198 though because I got down to that last time.
I ordered Jillian Michaels 30 day shred last night :)
Sounds hard but it's had positive reviews on here and amazon and I need the exercise boost.
I might struggle because of my lung thing but its relatively short so it should be ok. I can steal my mums handweights too :p

Walked to the jobcentre today, and up a massive hill through the town centre!
It's so annoying that I have a job but I still have to sign on because I don't start for ages! I'm looking for temporary stuff to keep me occupied but theres nothing out there!

Todays food
Breakfast Two fried eggs
Lunch Two rashers of bacon with button mushrooms and goats cheese
Tea Bowl of chilli, lean steak mince with a jar of sauce filled with loads of chunky tomatoes peppers and kidney beans (except I didn't eat the kidney beans :p)
Supper 5 slices of ham wrapped around bried and cherry tomatoes
Snacks 2 Chocolate puddings, 4 biscuits (better than my (old) normal 8)
Drinks 1.5 pint sugarfree squash and 1.5 pint of zero aspartame sugar free silly fizzy pop (also known as asdas own dr pepper), half cup of coffee
Went up to Asda while in town, bought some Dr Pepper stuff.. Called Dr Thunder lol.
It is sugarfree but also aspartame free, which I wouldn't normally care about but it is said it can slow weightloss. So it's calorie free and has better sweetners, and I figured I can have a glass of that when I want something bad.

Congrats on the job with Halifax and I'm glad the training is in Leeds so nearer to home for you. Leeds > Middlesborough any day!!!

Student loans suck big time - I can't get them to tell me how much I owe! You wouldn't think that was the hardest thing in the world now would you?!?!

Nice to see another northern lass on here :D Although I'm a southerner living up here rather than originally from here. Wouldn't move back down south at all ever again though - I love it up North :D
