I feeeeel goood nananaaaana naaa

I find that 100 calorie packs as a rulle are evil. It's to easy to grab one, tell yourself its only 100 calories and then grab another one later...

Thanks for stopping by everyone :D

Sorry to hear you get the sore ankles and knees too Cherry.. but I guess it is great motivation for us both to keep at it!!!! My knee is definately on the mend, but still a bit twingey... I don't want to push it until it feels totally better.

I have been thinking about it, and the only thing about chewing gum is I find it makes me hungry.. all that saliva it creates tells your stomach get ready to eat.. mmmm LOL plus I hate artificial sweeteners, but if it works for others then groovy baby! whatever floats your boat I say!!!

I have been trying to increase the exercise a bit.. by doing a fair bit of random stuff like Counter top push ups... and lots of squats/lunges/arm movement thingies :p Feels definately like something is going on, I feel a bit of soreness all over at the moment (in a good way!) I found a Work out DVD I had forgotten I bought ages ago.. so I will give that a go too!

One strage thing though.. I am really really hungry today.. no idea why!!! I had my usual breakfast of Oatmeal, then at 10.30 had Almonds.. and was still starving! So I made a Wholemeal Veggie Pita pizza.. bloody delicious! But it means I have had my lunch really early LOL.. oh my going to be a long day!

Weighed myself today (shouldn't have) and I was up the kg I had lost earlier in the week! ARgh.. when will I learn not to weigh myself so often LOL

I am thinking of getting rid of the scales and finding a better weigh in alternative.. maybe at a Pharmacy or something... Dunno will think on that one :)

Hey, Kori, just checking in.

I like the random activity thing, Any improvement in the amount you move about is good, yes? Cool that you incorporate more physical activity into your daily life.

Yeah, since your weight can fluctuate on a daily basis, I am pretty rigid on weighing myself only once a week. Helps that I don't even own a scale (except for a food scale).

I walk in to my doctor's office once a week (next will be tomorrow, actually) and ask the front desk nurse if I can use the scale. It is a balance scale, which I think are the best.
Pharmacy (if they have a scale) sounds like a good idea too.

Hi Cord,

Thanks for your encouragement and advice :) Yes, any additional movement helps I am sure! the key for me is to not get discouraged when I can't do heaps at once!

I just did part of my workout DVD.. lol can't do it all yet, but I will keep at it until it is easy peasy! hehe

That's great you get to use the Dr's scale, our Dr just uses a crappy scale like the one I have haha.. so no joy there, I think our local Pharmacy has a professional one though, need to check it out :)

Hey there Kori, thanks for stopping by my diary, I wanted to pop in and say hello to you. I try hard not to weigh myself too much or I become obsessive..lol. SO... at the moment Im trying to focus on how im feeling and how my clothing feel. Thats why i haven't updated my ticker in a while. Though, I think its time for me to know how my numbers are actually doing...*damn*...lol
Take care
Michelle

Good on you, Kori for doing the countertop push ups. I do them too and they're hard! I remember the first time I did them, it felt like my arm muscle slid off somewhere. I wish I knew how to do a proper lunge, but I always feel like I'm not getting the form down.

Anyway, I think you're doing fantastic. I can understand the gum thing now, especially when you put it that way lol. Maybe when you get hunger (mental hunger) try drinking a large glass of water or low calorie drink and then brush your teeth. Sometimes that helps me.

Cabbie, you're probably right about those 100 calorie packs. I've never bought them because most of the stuff they sell is crap, but when I saw my friend had a pack of nuts, it sort of made me wonder if maybe I should give those a go. But in all likely hood, I'd probably scarf down 5 packs lol.

Hello Kori,

What arm thingies do you do? I need to do some upper arm things. Although I need to do a lot of other things too, and I still have yet to incorporate them into my daily routine.

TTYL :seeya:

Hey there Sasse, Ms Y and RG! Thanks for stopping by!

I had a good weekend all in all!

Saturday we were busy busy doing stuff, and I almost forgot to eat several meals.. really had to push to fit them in, but I did end up being on track, drank a bit too much, but it was no big overall Calorie wise!

Sunday was awesome, we had two very very overgrown garden beds that needed to be dug out and we had purchased a whole heap of new plants to put in them, so we did that, again kept forgetting to eat, and ended up being about 3 hours behind each meal, but did squeeze them in! We really worked hard, and I can feel in in my body today! Bit stiff and sore, but that kind if thing is my fave exercise, where you are actually "doing" something! It felt great!

I weighed myself this morning (even though I had said to myself I wouldn't!) and even with the drinking on the weekend, I still lost half a kilo (1.1 pounds) over the weekend! Woo hooo!!

I am very happy things are going so great!

Hope everyone had a fun weekend!

oo Sounds like a blast!! Keep Rockin!! Now you can tell that pound to kiss yer arse!! :D

LOL oh yeah!!! :sifone:

Didn't have a great calorie day yesterday, was hungry all day for some reason, and found it hard to drink enough water. Was still below maintainance though, so hopefully not a gain.

We all have bad days.. But thats not toooo bad.. Just gotta work off those extra calories!

I wish i could work out or something.. Never realized i liked it so much until I hurt my Ankle Yesterday and cant do anything.. Now im itching to get outside for a jog or something!

I feel for you. I have a much more generous allowance for calories than you because of my size, but I still have a hard time dealing with it. You'll pull it back in line and beat it tomorrow (today??).

LOL yeah, I do like to eat!!! Just going to have to learn to enjoy exercising more :)

Like I said about the weekend, I love getting exercise when you don't even realise it.. like the heavy gardening we did.. but actually going to exercise.. lol I have never been good at that!

today is very good calorie wise so far!! Just eating my lunch at the moment, bowl of home made minestrone (recipe somewhere in here!) very yummmmmy!

Well I just weighed in and I have lost the other half kilo, making it a 1 kg loss this week! :sifone: Very happy about this as I have been eating much more this week (2 days around 1800-2000 instead of 1500)... and have had 1 or 2 glasses of wine most nights, so it's all good!

So far I have lost a total of 7kg, or 15.4 pounds in 5 weeks!

Still not fired up to do much in the way of exercise though, my knee is still worrying me, but I figure it doesn't matter so much for now, so long as I am losing, the exercise can come along when I have lost some more...I would like to get toned, but I still have a looooooong way to go to get to goal!

Beautiful day here today, gorgeous and sunny, will probably reach 23C (73.4F) not bad for almost Winter!!!!

Hope everyone is having a looooovely day :D

What's up with your knee? (musta missed it?). I find that cycling or swimming are the best ways to work around body parts that don't work right... although not everyone has the access to either.

Haven't stopped here for a few, wanted to say hey! :seeya:

oh I think I tore a ligament about 6 weeks ago, still very hard to walk up stairs for example, makes me feel like an old lady LOL... but it is getting better for sure :)

Unfortunately I don't have access to a pool and cycling would be out as the up motion would be very painful.

Hello Kori,

Last Night I smashed A big Spider...what kind of sized ones do you have around your parts of Aussie? Mine's still squished on my bathroom floor here at my dad's, usually they're upstairs, they're squished end trails, and he cleans em up, I just leave the shoe there pointing in it's direction.

Do you get Wolf Spiders? What kind of creatures do you come across in your garden?

I don't like to kill things, but they shouldn't come in uninvited nor should they chase my toe! Besides I apologized first. :ack2:

It still turned out to be about 23 C here as well!! Lovely!

I love reading your diary, even though you know you have "bad" days; you seem to have an overall upbeat outlook.

You're doing an awesome job. averaging more than 3 llbs / week.

Hey RG - we get pretty big spiders here too, haven't seen a huge one inside at this house yet (only owned it for 12 months) but in our last place we would get huge ones on the walls (they are non-venomous) scary buggers for sure! And yes, sorry to say they did have to die too! We gave them the option of leaving quietly.. but.. they rarely took that option so.... SPLAT!!!!

The really scary ones here are called funnel web spiders, Truly Evil looking things... they are ground dwellers, digging a hole to live and hunt in... but the males go looking for females and they are deadly if they bite... there is an anti-venene available though now, which is lucky!

In our garden we have lots of different insects, Damselflies, Dragonflies, Butterflies, Wasps, Beetles, Cockroaches LOL, lots of different ones! my Fave are the damsel and dragonflies though!
