I don't like the cookies, the cookies like me!

I know it can be so tough to stay on track. I was saying yesterday that i had made a nice healthly dinner than my boyfriend came home and ordered wings, fries and gravy..i had to leave the room so that i wouldn't get tempted to have some.
I ended up leaving the room then going for a jog. I felt so good after it takes time but i know it will get easier. My weakness is ice cream i can eat it like it's going out of style tomorrow.

Just take it day by day this is my first week on this board and i love it..when i am feeling like i am about to cave in i come here and i get reassured..to stay on track again plus i love seeing everyone's progress it's very encouraging.

That sounds like a good exercise plan - ambitious but still allowing for some time off. BTW - your walking can be your cardio. My walk gets my heart rate up. If yours doesn't, you could always bust a move with that twisty-butt power walk thing! LOL :D
 
Hey Twinmom, yeah, it's downhill on the way to work, and uphill on the way home!!! I'm always sweaty and gross when I get home.

Thank goodness it's not the other way round. Can you imagine having to work all day after you've sweated on the way to work? :eek:

hehe I always have to go to the shower and have a wash before I start work if I'm cycling there! Well done for keeping on track over the past few days, we all know it can be difficult sometimes eh.

Hey, I did good today. I had cereal and banana for breakfast. I went to have my can of beans for lunch, but they had pork in them :mad: , eeeeuuuuk. I went and got veggie sushi instead. Mmmm.....:D
I had some hummus and crackers when I got home.
I'm having tofu curry for supper.

AND I worked out.

Me and my cat did abs, the a bellydancing workout. Solstice (my cat) didn't do the bellydancing!!! :eek: She's really good at the stretching. Yes, I need to start dating again!!!:eek:

C, the tofuitti cuties are non-dairy ice cream sandwiches....So good. So good. Sorry, I forgot to mention that last time, very forgetful at the momen...all the time really.:(

That's funny about your cat. She probably thinks to her self "what the heck is my mommy doing to herself?.

Reminds me of times when I've been on the floor trying to yoga stretches and I've got two of them winding themselves in and out of my legs, rubbing up against me and nudging my hands with their heads wanting to be petted. They just don't get it!!
 
Eating out!?!

Hi folks,
Yesterday my mom and sister came up to visit. It was great and exausting, as family can be.

We went to Harvey's, and I had a veggie burger and a garden salad w/light Italian dressing. And I only stole 1 of my sisiter's fries!!! Just one!
I'd had the banana and cereal for breakie, and beans and rice w/tofu sour cream. Mmmmmmm, so good. Then Silly Girl and I went on a walk for about 1 hour and 15 min. :)

I have to be good today, as I'm having lasagne tomorrow!:D :D :D I'm really excited. You may have noticed. I can't wait.

Yeah, Scarlett, they must think there is something wrong with us, eh? "Mom's okay most of the time, but sometimes she does weird things on big mats. And she's not even tring to clean herself with her tongue." :p

Great job on your dining out! I meant to steal one fry from my kids' Happy Meal the other day, and ended up eating a whole order! :eek: A small fry from McDonald's is like 250 calories. On top of what I already had for lunch! So not worth it. I had to really watch it at dinner to make up for that splurge. It's great you were able to have a fry and stop right there! :)

So sorry I've been MIA, but between stupid work stuff and weekend guests. Er, the guests weren't stupid, just the work stuff!!!

I was pretty good since I've been away, with the exception of Sunday when I had 2 large pieces of lasagne!!! Soooooooo good. And a bottle of beer and a glass of wine. It was a treat. I've been good ever since.
Well, I've been walking, but I need to have my butt kicked to exercise like I've been wanted to. Grrr.. hopefully I'll soon get myself sorted.
And I can't wait to catch up with everybody!!!

Don't worry, you will soon rev yourself up in gear the way you want. You just have to find your groove. But sounds like you are doing good. Keep it up.

What kind of exercise do you think you might want to try? I'm still just walking until mid-August, and then will add weight training. You could add some dumbells to your walk. :)

Hello, I'm alive. Yeah!

Twinmom, I might add weights to my non-work walks. I love lifting weights. I have been on and off for years, I've not done the food part. I love the hard, bone crunching workouts.

But I need to start out slow to get up to that again. I like the Firm weight workouts. They look lame, but kick your arse. I find I have to force myself to get in the cardio, as I'd rather work with weights.
I do love bellydancing. I'm dying to take the classes in the fall, but I said I'd wait for silly girl's back to get better so we can take the class together. It's great because once you learn the moves, you can just dance to the music. :eek:

I was good with my eating yesterday and I walked 1.75 miles after walking to and from work!!!
Today I've had my cereal and vitamin. I've to workout today. As well as catch up with all of you.......

oooh. Belly dancing? I've been thinking about taking classes too or at least get an instuctional workout video... cept I don't think my hips can move like that. :p
when I play with a hula hoop... it just falls straight down. ;)
