I've been absent for a couple weeks, but it looks like you've been killing it. Did I also see that you've been adding to the recipes section? I'll have to check that out.

Stars Hollow? Ha, good luck finding it! Might try Lebanon, CT for a similar feel, but no one in Connecticut is that friendly. It's a requirement of residence!

Good call on recording the made up recipes. I finally started doing that for some of my favorites so there's some repeatability between batches. One of my favorites is "Chicken Tomatillo Surprise", and the surprise was that I added a ton of cinnamon instead of cumin, and it came out awesome. I think I need to make it again.

Cory: Welcome Back! :hug2::hurray:Congrat's on your great news as well doll! :waving:

LJ: lol ... :p
Share that recipe, ya hear?! ;)
I have also worked on changing some of our unhealthy favs to as healthy as possible.. That can be pretty simple for most recipes. :)

Friday: 2 Mile HIIT aerobic walk = 30 mins

Grocery Store tomorrow... Better get back to makin' list... so behind today.. Hubby workin' 12's OT hours until Wed. so he has not been gettin' home until 4:30AM...

Now, back to programming..... All My Problems...

My sweet baby girl got into master bath trash can (son thought he had shut door all the way), and when I went into bedroom to take make-up off (large double sink vanity area) I saw door open of course and tissue tore up all over floor... *sigh* Then, Panic Set In bc I saw one of hubby's chewed up breathe right strips chewed and on floor. All the metal was still in it, but now I didn't know if she had swallowed a different one and possible cotton balls or qtips as well... ???
Sure enough, a little after midnight she began this strange gagging*cough*choking-like*heaving episode.. She threw up a few times (just liquid) and continued with episode.. I gave her a piece of ice since I couldn't get her to drink water and that helped for just a few minutes.
She would have like 5-10 minute breaks...At one point she feel asleep and was fine for 30 mins. I thought it was safe to go to bed...After about an hour I woke up to her episode again and threw on clothes and got her to Pet Hospital.. Gosh...I truly kinda know what it may be like to dive drunk bc I was so out of sorts, tired, nervous and havin' panic attack..:confused:o_O That 20 minute drive in the dark felt like an hour.
They did xrays and didn't see any metal in stomach or obstruction to airway, so they induced vomiting and a bunch of tissue and cotton ball matter came up..
My poor sweet girl. I love her more than you can imagine!!!!!!! Like a child I gave birth to! lmbo! :p
Gave her a nausea shot and pain med/cough suppressant shot and we left about 8:15AM..

I only got a couple of hours sleep(with her next to me of course!) and got woke up due to hubby gettin' up for work.. (he couldn't come w/me or help bc he is on 12's right now on a big job at work and all of the CEO's are there this week. He works for a large printing company as a stitcher operator and he runs a 1/2 mile long machine. The company just got the newest, high tech equipment in at 2.5 million dollars each! They do Insurance Cards and Kits, CVS Brochures and Ads and that type of thing. )
I feel out of sorts and drunk.. Just got out of a hot shower and I feel more calm/relaxed.. Time for a nap.. Hopefully I can get some rest. ZuZu is still dopey and they said that will be normal for the rest of today thru evening.

Good News: I lost 2 lbs this week so FINALLY my body has responded to my effort and great fitness!
A Total of 3 lbs off and that's a start! I forgot to check measurements but will do that when I feel better.. lol...

:waving:

Congrats on the two lb loss!

Also, I hate it when you realize your pet might have gotten into something they shouldn't have. About a year ago, I found the remains of a chewed up pill on the floor and had to immediately take my cat to the vet. He had to get his stomach pumped and everything.

Jen: Thanks! She knows it to! ;)

LaMaria: LOL! She is that let me tell ya! :D I was so scared for sure!

Cory: Thanks! Finally, progress! lol
Sorry about your cat! Thank goodness everything turned out okay!

LJ: Thanks! I did it! ;) 3 lbs off total now.. *woohoo!*

Back to more Soap Opera News:
So, there is this wicked virus going around.... My mom has it and some other people we know...
Boy did I experience it yesterday starting at 8AM.. :puke:
5 hours of HELL! :drooling::confused: 5 solid hours of toilet time.. I truly prayed to DIE! My stomach couldn't even handle a SIP of water on it.
Then, dealing with the other... Ladies shouldn't even have to ever have that function... Thought I was gonna have to seat belt myself in at one point..

Then with nothing left at all in my system, the heaving began for over an hour.. My throat felt like it was gonna explode!
The extreme nausea lasted until late in the afternoon. I FINALLY passed out around 4 pm... Thank the Lord for that!!! Woke up weak, exhausted and dazed... o_O Sheewwww.... Thank goodness the nausea was gone. I was able to slowly start gettin' water in and broth.

Went back to bed at 2AM and slept until 8... My schedule is all messed up and upside down...lol...

No exercise since Friday.... *crap!* Hope to feel like it tomorrow!

I have 3 lbs off now and want to keep going!

I really hope you're feeling better after that virus. I always find it hard to get back into exercising after being sick.

Thank you sweetie! :grouphug:
It is so hard! Makes me really angry actually! Every darn time I'm on a roll, this crap happens..
I just don't understand? :(

Sorry to read of your health issues these past few months. :(

My daughter had the flu recently--puked for two days straight. It was awful and I felt so bad for her!

Praying for your health to return and stay stable for a while!

Oh Stacy- what a horrible last few days you have had. Don't even think about exercising. Just rest & don't put your body under any further strain. Eat well, drink lots of water, take care & sleep, sleep, sleep, xoxo Cate

Thank You Abby! :hug2::seeya:

Bring on the prayers! I really need them...lol... If I can stay healthy, I can stay on a roll! ;)

So glad that is over for your daughter..So miserable!

Thank You Cate! :grouphug:

I will take your advise for sure! Did two loads of laundry and unloaded dishwasher and feel like I did a 1 hour work out. o_O:rolleyes:

Did the same thing today (5 hrs)...Started all over re: virus..Please keep me in your prayers... This is just miserable...
This time the nausea would not go away until hubby got me OTC Nausea med from Walgreens.
My mom is still trying to get well from this to, please pray for her.
Just had a 3 hr. nap thank goodness..Gotta hydrate and take things slow now; no solid food.
187.0 lbs now... not a good way to get the weight off!

Well, you certainly seem to be having a few crappy days. Hopefully you feel better soon.

Thanks Chef! :hug2:

I was able to keep a sugar free carnation shake down at 8:30pm.. Skim milk, carnation, half a banana and a few frozen strawberries/ice.

That gave me some much needed pep and started feeling slightly human. I became so hungry at 10 but I'm scared to death to eat anything!
I had enough energy to make my healthy/whole wheat Banana Strawberry Muffins Fat Free/Low Calorie They are quick and simple to throw together and bake. I have had 2 and feel so much better with something on my stomach!

Funny story re: my recipe.. It took me a year to get this recipe just right.. (a page or two back I've shared how I love, just love to cook and invent recipes)...Anyway... It was the spice blend that caused me so many headaches! I cannot tell you how many were just GROSS bc I was using way too much ground cloves.. You took a bite and coughed.. :smilielol5:Other batches came out pretty well but the nutmeg and cinnamon were to potent.
Even using too much banana can give a strange taste and icky spice-like potency.

Finally, after countless notes and not giving up - they are perfect!

Well, time to color and go back to bed! lol

I really need help with my anxiety level bc I'm scared to go to bed bc of the fear of waking up sick.. Only people with panic attacks will understand this..lol... I can feel my heart rate go up and the terrible anxiety which causes chest pains and last night it caused me to have a dizzy spell.
Seems to get worse as I age.. Having OCD issues as well which of course revs up anxiety. My schedule is all messed up and I have a ton to do and deal with and nothing is happening bc I'm sick. Not to mention being so angry I wasn't able to keep appointments for looking at two town-homes this week!!:banghead:

I hear you on the anxiety... I had near-daily panic attacks for years and for maybe a year (and a half?) after they stopped it was hard to even tell the difference because my anxiety about getting another one was so freaking high.
The thing about your sickness messing up your schedule, that messing with your OCD and that messing with your anxiety is that continuous stress makes is harder for your body to fight the bugs. So... I send you a hug and kind thoughts and hope your brain will allow your body to relax and heal.

Ugh panic attacks are a living hell, literally! I completely empathize. I suffered from them for years, and still have them occasionally. The meds I take do seem to help (low dose of Lexapro). I still have anxiety, but not nearly the amount of attacks, if that makes sense?

One thing that can help, sometimes, it's just to say out loud "I'm having a panic attack. I've had them before. It will pass." Just acknowledging them by saying it out loud can help! I'm also a big fan of "counting" during attacks - backwards from 100 in increments of 7. It forces your brain to focus on something else. Daily meditation, even ten minutes, can make a difference - there are apps you can get on your phone with peaceful music and a timer! They say anxiety is worrying about the future. Try to stay in the moment instead. The moment is a gift, that's why it's called the "present."

Hope that helps and you have an awesome day!!! You deserve it!!!
