How do you start a diary?

Wow!!! Thanks friends! :biggrinjester: Sylver, I'm learning it from you too! Ha ha! =) Thanks Jess (mate)! Glad ya agree Ecky...truly makes a difference...no?

Today was a long day. I suppose Mondays are supposed to feel that way. Had a lot of labs...I don't know where I will get the strength to lift patients and all that...feel weak everytime I try! Sigh...Good news: did go to the gym even though got out of class late. The key to me going today was two things...lol. 1) Told someone I was going (accountability). 2) Was hoping to see one of the regular attractive gym goers! lol Anyway, did cardio and few weights...no time for anything else. My stomach felt a little bloated today...could have been due to having cheese in the morning w/ my crackers and cereal or maybe just the fact that I had to get up early for school (I notice it feels more normal on days where I wake up later). Anyway, I wasn't very good w/ skipping the yogurt today and I did have another extra snack but I'm not gonna torment myself over it. It was just an extra cheese wedge and it's good to indulge a little sometimes! =) Hope the rest of the week will be smoother and kinder than today...must run to bed. G'nite!!
 
Hey! Today was a short day. Usual school...need to study! Been slacking lately. Thought I forgot my shoes when I went to the gym but had them in my car! =) Did usual cardio and weights. Eats were okay...not perfect of course but decent all the same! =p Well, gonna keep this entry short so I can go catch up on some school work! G'nite!
 
Super sleepy so this will be short again. Gym time was successful. Ran on the treadmill and biked. Did a few weights. Eats...I successfully avoided more cheese and crackers in the afternoon (had them in morning and craved them again) after lunch. I was really glad I didn't have them b/c my stomach felt full like an hr later. Wish it would be quicker to react sometimes!!! Anyway, this week in general I ate more than I usually do...nothing unhealthy but even extra "healthy" stuff adds up. Thankfully I was dedicated w/ the workouts. Will try to toughen up some more!! Warrior mode! Nite! :seeya:
 
Skipped gym today but will go tomorrow. Having trouble this wk w/ snacks and things...think it's b/c I've been tired. And when u get less sleep your hunger hormones go out of whack. Will try to snap out of it tomorrow! Here's to a good Friday!!!!!! :cheers2:

Today was a fun day...Enjoyed time with the family! We went bowling together and went to a coffee shop! Almost didn't go but am so glad I did! =) Eating wise, I ate one less sandwich at lunch to try to make up for extra snacks I had this wk. Need to skip yogurt for a few days and try to skip a few snacks here and there as well. Might be hard. Did go to the gym today so am keeping up with that! =) Hope everyone is doing well. Will write more later I promise!
 
I agree about it being more difficult to control your eating when you're tired. Well done on all the exercise
 
Thanks Ecky!! Will check up on ya soon I promise! Back to school tomorrow...Mondays are not my favorite. Oh well. Eating wise, I think I'm doing okay. But okay is not good enough. Sigh. I mean I'm not pigging out or anything but lately if I want more at dinner or if I want an extra snack I let myself. That's not good. Just hard to discipline myself all the time. Thankfully, I'm so consistent with the exercising. If I could just force myself to stick to the "right" eating plan, everything would be better!

Hey guys!! Well...hmmmm think I will try to stress less about everything. I am keeping up w/ the exercise and I AM trying w/ the eats...just sometimes my stomach and eyes overpower my brain. Live and learn I guess. Although in my case lately it's been living more than learning. Oh well. The scale has been kind. =) Hope to have a good day tomorrow.

yogurt (2x)
lunch: 2 laughing cow cheese wedges, bread
snacks: 3 apples, 1 string cheese, 1 cheese wedge
dinner: 3 pieces of chicken, lil spaghetti, lil bit of beef stew dish
salad
water and tea (Miss my old water bottle...It cracked...Now I've been relying on this crummy one that keeps leaking making me less inclined to drink water! Will have to buy a new one!)

Exercise: hr cardio, weights, abs, stretches =)

Feeling good! Let's see. I had extra cereal yesterday but managed not to have it today so that balances out. =) However, I did have extra yogurt and an extra snack today. Don't know what's wrong w/ me! lol I WILL overcome my newly acquired "bad" habits!
Eats:
yogurt 2x
lunch: 2 cheese wedges, bread
snacks: 1 string cheese, 1 pear, 2 apples (one large; one small), 1 cheese wedge, 8 triscuits
dinner: 4 mini meat patties, 1 slice of "kuku"
salad
water and tea
Mistakes: yogurt of course, snack department...also maybe one less meat patty at dinner?
Progress: almost made error of having cereal after lunch b/c I knew that option hadn't been taken in the morning...Realized I wasn't truly hungry and distracted myself by going to the gym! =)

Gym: today was awesome...ran and biked...did weights, abs, stretches...Felt so powerful! =) Am planning on going tomorrow as well.

Hope school is good tomorrow...we shall see!
 
Well, the gym was closed today...shall have to go tomorrow and Sunday! Eating wise I am doing ok...increased discipline would be great right about now. I will have to resort to buying chewing gum again apparently. Have been too tempted by additional snacks so need to occupy my mouth w/ gum. Sigh. Will just try to chew one piece a day if possible. Shall see how this goes...Have a good night!

Might have hurt my back today lifting something heavy. Dumb of me! Hopefully won't have pain there tomorrow! Am glad I got the gum...I have 6 pounds to lose...feels like I've been stagnant! Let's get this show on the road!!!!
 
Gracias Adeon!! lol Where on earth have you been? Thought you disappeared!! How was Cuba? Yep, lost about 6 pounds thus far...so I guess I'm at the halfway point!

Did exercise today (hr cardio, weights...)! Enjoyed it, but the ipod's been acting funny lately!! And need to buy a new set of headphones...bad connection on one side.

Did ok today...Went to gym and did hr cardio, weights, and stretches. Really needed the stretches...I was tight! Read a magazine that listed 7 common runner injuries...will try to incorporate some of their ideas! Enjoyed my music thoroughly once my ipod started behaving! Need to get back on the ball of studying...hard to get motivated in that area!

snacks: 2 cheese wedges, my triscuits, 1 banana (not huge...don't worry), 1 mango (didn't allow myself to eat the whole thing b/c it was big), couple pieces of gum

Mistakes: gum? had yogurt tho probably should have skipped it. And maybe ate too much at dinner...was yummy! lol

Hey guys! Well, today was interesting! The 5k...well at first I was regretting getting out of my bed to go to the thing early in the morning (cold outside too)! I was thinking to myself I am such a fool! lol But once the race was underway, I felt great...even started to burn up! lol And was proud of myself when it was over...gives you a good feeling. Think I will make a habit out of these races. Do have some tenderness in my hip though. Sigh. Guess you win some and lose some. Anyway, came home and enjoyed having food... =) Then went to the gym in the afternoon...double threat! lol Yep, today was a great day exercise wise.

Had an appetite today (obviously)! Looking forward to having breakfast w/ the fam tomorrow! Knock on wood for being healthy! So lucky to have functioning legs and arms! =)

Been doing okay lately. Only "okay" though...not stellar! Need to up the discipline and focus!!! Hate tests (make me less strict food wise)!!! I think the real issue is lack of sleep when I'm studying...can't make good decisions and hormones are out of whack.
Plan: Run tomorrow, go to gym, eat RIGHT...easy as cake...(hopefully). Need to really be motivated now...especially w/ warmer weather returning!!
