Hoping to find my collar bones one day....

I had no internet access while away for Thanksgiving-- I got back this afternoon and headed to the gym for water aerobics-- I weighed myself at 5 pm ( I usually weigh at 5:30 Am) but I was down 1/2 pound from last friday!
I did not eat a lot yesterday. No seconds! But I did eat some of everything, the potatoes, the stuffing, gravy, a roll, the turkey, the ham, the green bean casserole and pumpkin pie with real whipping cream-. I also had a cheeseburger Wednesday night on the drive over and one again today for lunch on the drive back. I feel completely wiped out from the driving.
I drank lots of water on this trip, but I feel like I have a headache coming on. I hope not... my son is home for the rest of the weekend I want to do some stuff with him, not just have him bring me cold packs.

Bust 41-- down one inch from 42
WAIST 36!!!!!:jump: Down 4 inches from 40 !!!
Hips 41 down from 43
Thighs Left measures 22.5 the Right 23??? both were 25
calves 15.5 down from 16.5

Lower arm 10 inches-- same as last month
upper arm 12 inches same as last month
I if I figured that right that is about 10.5 inches lost.:party:

I did 3..... yes 3 ! Water aerobics classes today.
Did the early am class, then after work the 3:45 class
I stayed after the 3:45 class and sat in the steam room-
I knew some people who were taking the 5:30 class so I stayed
It was also an instructor subbing that I liked and I never get to take her class.
I was not nearly as tired as I thought-- I won't make it a habit but every now and then I may stay for the next class.


Breakfast
1/4 cup low fat yogurt ( bought lowfat by mistake instead of nonfat)
8 oz 1% milk
piece of quiche

Snack
Green Tea
Chewy bar
handful of almonds

Lunch
Salad with celery carrot stick hardboiled egg and leftover steak
more green tea

dinner-
Here I was a little bad but after 3 water aerobic classes--I figured I had burned a little extra for the day!
Tostada from Baja Fresh-- did not eat the sour cream or the shell.
Water for beverage.
 
I am running a fever... and feeling like crap!
I was up all night with a sore throat. I dragged myself to work and made a Dr.s appointment-- I have a sinus infection. The sore throat is a secondary- issue... I will be taking things easy for a few days. Taking my antibiotic and
drinking fluids.
 
I felt awful today. Awoke with another headache. I left work early and went to the store and and bought ground beef and Spumoni ice cream. I had a small bowl of the ice cream as soon as I got home. Later I fixed myself a hamburger. :piggy: I am feeling better now. I probably will not show a loss this week.
 
Despite eating ice cream and missing 2 water aerobics classes due to feeling yucky..... this week I still managed to lose a half pound!. Still feeling really wiped out and still taking the antibiotic. Hoping to get back to my schedule next week.
 
Starting to feel better.
I got a weave in my hair today. I had some pretty nasty root grow out!

Breakfast
1/4 cup lowfat yogurt
8 oz milk

Lunch-- Missed !!!! Was getting my hair done and nothing nearby sounded good or was healthy ( I would usually would have gotten pizza from next door and ate it while I was under the dryer) As a consequence ... I went grocery shopping while I was hungry:drool5:BIG MISTAKE!! Went way over budget!!! I did buy lots of fresh fruit and salad mixings.
Dinner-- Came home and fixed salmon with a little whole wheat pasta . Sauce was red pepper, fresh tomato and garlic in olive oil.
Tomorrow I am going to make a soup to take for lunch this week. I also bought some deli turkey that I can eat in hurry for snacks or breakfast.
 
I have not posted for a few days.....
I have been taking an antibiotic for my sinus infection and on Sunday it
and my lower gastrointestinal track were at odds... Lost probably 2 lbs in
in matter of seconds. I have just been eating carefully-- and trying to get the flora/fauna balance back in my guts. I took my exam I had been studying forthis am-- and again missed passing one of the sections. I should have called and cancelled last week or at least pushed it back a week. I woke up at 2:30 this am and could not get back to sleep. I will need to reschdule and try again in January-- ( I am very disappointed-- I was promised a bonus at work if I passed.

I did manage to make water aerobics tonight-- I peeked/sneaked onto the scales and I was at 168.75-- at least I am down alot more! I will not adjust my ticker until after my weekly weigh on on friday (in case this was water loss due to being sick)-- It looks like I made my goal of losing 10lbs before the next massage which is next tuesday!

On a positive note--- after I failed the exam and returned to work-- our building management brought in a huge platter of chocolates--- I took one of the white chocolate dipped ones and ate half. Tossed the other half -- not because it was not good,-- cuz it sure was good!!! But because I needed to get a taste but not go overboard and after this am.... I could really have gone overboard on that platter!
 
You be very careful about the GI issues while you're on antibiotics hun!! Make sure you tell your doc, it can sometimes happen that the antibiotics end up flushing out all your good bacteria and it can become very serious if it doesn't fix itself... Hahah I don't mean to get you all worked up but I just wanted to make sure you're okay! Sorry you're still sick, and also sorry to hear about the exam but at least you can take it again :) January isn't too far off!

I know.... I have had a lot of sinus infections. I usually get a prescription of Diflucan filled at the same time as a yeast infection afterwards is common. Okay.... I Know.... "way too much information" for my XY chromsoned readers.
Today was weigh on day-- I had high hopes after the sneak peek on wednesday-much of my loss was from being sick.. today I weighed in at 169.5-- slightly disappointed. But at least I am under 170 and still I qualify for my reward of a massage!
 
This really sucks....We have had nasty weather--- 11 degrees. And Snow.
We have no water at the house. I thought the pipes froze-- but it now appears
we may have lost power to the pump... I had to cancel my massage. As I could not get up the hill to where the massage center is.
I have gone straight to gym to use the shower then straight to work and straight home to deal with the issues here-- No time for water aerobics.
Now we are supposed to get freezing rain. -
My son keeps asking things.. Where are the chips? Why don't we have chips? Isn't there anything good to eat? Can we bake Christmas cookies? I told him no baking until we have the water running and can do the dishes.
I have eaten out pizza and tacos since he has been home.:ack2:
 
Day four at the house without running water-- it appears our pressure tank is also DOA...waiting for the pump guy to comeback and install a new one...then we find out if we also have broken pipes when we get some water pressure.
Good thing I have today and tomorrow off-- We were supposed to go to my folks for an early Christmas with family-- but that is not happening now.
I talked my son into taking a new picture of me. I have altered my face on it
as I see so many people on here who have the their pictures hijacked-- Although I do not have any AFTER pictures yet-- it seems silly.
I was disappointed... as I can feel a big difference in my clothes and shoes,
but the pictures do not show much of a difference- my clothes hide me in the my before picture-and latest pictures I look like a block....and the file is too big to attach? I need to play with it awhile. Before I can post it in the diary .. anyway it is in My Albums if anyone is bored and has the time to check it out. I have been eating so-so-I had Quiche for breakfast- mid morning snack -- leftover Thai food and lunch was homemade chicken soup- We are trying not to dirty dishes- so we are reheating a lot of leftovers on paper plates- I have been snacking on bananas and tangerines and oranges. I hope to be able to do aerobics twice tomorrow--weather permitting-- supposed to get really cold again tonight and we might get freezing rain.
 
We have water but......My son leaves tomorrow morning to spend some time with his Dad. His best friend also was here .. he was home from basic training- I have had them both for the last few days... They go out and bring food back .. like Little Ceasars Pizza ... ( I was good did not touch any) .. I also cook differently when they are home. Pancakes and Bacon for breakfast, homemade burgers for dinner we went to Dairy Queen today for lunch I had my first REAL pepsi in about 2 months-- I do not count the ZEVIA had at thanksgiving. I have been trying to snack on the mandarins I bought ....but somehow an entire box of wheat thins were eaten by me? I hope things get back normal tomorrow! ----OOOHHH MY!!!!! My son just got a call from his Dad the AMTRAK is not running--- He is staying a little longer!!! At this rate another week and I will have gained back the weight- I may have done so already-- I was not able to get in to the gym to weigh on friday.
 
I know what the problem is.....I need the holidays to be over and my son back in college. You would not believe what food has been brought in, cooked and and consumed in this house since the the 11th of December! I do fine for breakfast ( he is still asleep) lunch is great too--- still packing it to work --but once I head home-- I stop at the store and call home to see what he wants for dinner and then all holy hell breaks loose and jumps in the damn cart!

Since it appears he will not be able to get through on the train to his dad's I am preparing for having him here for Christmas-- ( I already was planning on cooking for my 93 year old granny)-- her requests--a turkey roll with gravy, potatoes, dinner rolls and pumpkin pie... I suggested some steamed asparagus with that.

Okay--- Now that it appears Junior will be with us-- I shopped again today-- ended up buying 2 pies!! 2 Pies for 3 people?????
This madness must stop!!!! We have had Pizza 3 times! ( I did not partake of the Little Ceasars) the list goes on ribeye steaks, Rotisserie chicken. Mexican food-- Tostadas with sour cream and cheese....We have been to Dairy Queen! We had pancakes and bacon! and yes I had some of the pie already!!!!!:piggy::piggy::piggy:

Thank God he is not yet 21!!!! Probably I would be bloated on cranberry mojitos and Kauluas & cream.
 
Things are still not back to normal... My son was able to get a train out to his Dad's Christmas Eve.. I had Christmas as planned with Gran. I went to aerobics for the am class the day after Christmas ... but then decided I was too lonely and so right after work I drove 150 miles to my parent's house and stayed the weekend. Took one short hike in the snow.... but Mom and her dog got cold so we had to head back early.
Sunday night I brought my Mom home with me and while we were driving home my cell phone rang.... my son was already on his way home on the train! I have not been back to the gym. I plan to go to the am water class tomorrow .. but I do not think they have an evening class on New Years Eve.. I guess the best I can hope for is to just watch what I am eating and get back to the gym schedule on Jan 5 when everyone is gone and I do not have any distractions!!!!
 
Now I am back on track- My son left yesterday to go back to school.
I made the early am water aerobics class and the afternoon class folowed by 15 minutes in the steam room.
Eating was better although not perfect

Lunch-- Lamb stew and a whole chicken salad sandwich on WW bread--
(I meant to eat half for am snack but work was crazy and I could not make it to the lunchroom.

I think things will get better as the week progresses
I did gain 2 lbs back since the beginning of December. so my ticker should really read 171
 
Hey! Don't worry about being up 2...I'm up a good 4 or 5 (although that may be water weight, seems an awful lot to gain in one month!) Now that you're back in your routine you'll get back into your old kicking-butt-and-taking-names ways!!

Today I made both aerobic classes! Good work outs in both and I feel pretty
tired tonight.

I did drink 16 oz at am aerobics ... but forgot to bring my bottle in
for the PM class.
