Here we go! A diary for 'the last 20'!!

Way to keep pushing yourself in your workouts! Isn't the hardest part about the gym walking through the door - or even just getting in the car! After your post last week about craving a tart I went out and bought 12 mini tarts and ate them all this weekend - so horrible but they were so good! This place close by sells them fresh for so cheap - I wish they would go out of business but I alone probably keep them in business. When I get back from my trip I am going to have the motivation and determination like you do to say no! Your doing so good at keeping up your new lifestyle and have come so far! I hope to be like you one day - your a good role model for your kids.
Keep it up Marie - I will miss you while I am gone and will be thinking of you while watching the sun rise! Chat with you Jan. 25th!:seeya:

Didn't make it on here yesterday... what a day!! I had a dentist appointment in the am while Sam was at school so my Tues morning gym was out :( But the dentist went well... still no cavities!!! Had a client call for a massage in the afternoon then went and got Emma from school and then sat on my ass for the rest of the day :p I had a wicked headache (still do) :(

Today is all about the house work. The laundry is piling up, the bathrooms are grimy and the floors are gross. Once all of that is done I would love to get a workout in...

My eating is ok. I'm back to the evening snacks again so I'm going to have to buckle down and get my act together and I haven't been drinking enough water, which is not like me. Aways good to have something to work on right ;)

LOL that is how I signed my journal entry today :D I have lots of cleaning to do today as well... I leave for school on Sunday so I have to tidy up my room nicely before I go! I'm being forced to Swiffer under my bed... man do I hate cleaning :icon_bs:

Hopefully you can get some workout in today! More importantly, drink more water!!! And put those snacks down at night! This is kick ass week, remember? YEAH, PUT THOSE SNACKS DOWN!!!! LOL

So I got everything done that I wanted to get done yesterday... including a workout!!! The weather was beautiful so I had all the windows open, it was just like spring cleaning... in January ;) I didn't get my workout in till later afternoon and really had to force myself to do it, but of course felt great after. Everyone's been talking about the 30day Shred so I figured I would jump on that bandwagon too. I skimmed through it a bit and decided I would do the beginner level 3 b/c I liked that she adds weights to the cardio. I've never been a jumper so the plyometrics were definately a challenge but the 30min flew by. I wore my HR watch and was certainly working hard enough :sifone: After I went through a vinyasa flow to stretch everything out and focus on this fabulous new body I'm falling in love with!!!

The evening kinda went down hill from there. I have been craving something again and it's driving me nuts. Even when I'm full I'm hungry b/c I just have to have it :drool5:... only thing is, I don't know what "it" is! I remember going through this in the beginning. I haven't been taking my vitamins so I'm missing something in my diet that they are covering for me.

Drank lots of water!!!

Today is gym day :hurray: I can't believe I haven't been since Monday! Gonna be great :D

And it was :) 30min treadmill looked something like this:

10min intervals - incline 3.0 - b/w 6.0 and 9.0/10.0
10min intervals - incline 10.0 - walk 6.0 for 1:30/run 9.0 for 0:30
10min intervals - incline 3.0 - more walking than running this time

Total: 30 min - 3.5 km

I really pushed myself and was so tired when I was done!!

Then I did a full upper and lower body circuit pushing it too my max on all machines. Finished with abs and a really good stretch. :svengo:

My oldests school called while I was at the gym but of course I didn't answer so they called my husband to go pick her up b/c she was sick. She's not at all, but that's not the story. I stopped to get us coffee's from Timmy's and the drivethru was way to long so I went in... where all the goodies are... on full display. Well, I walked out with 2 coffee's and a cinnimon roll :drool5: 420 cals:eek2:... opps!! My new watch said I burned just over 1000cals during my whole workout and I just wasted half of them on a donut... oh well, I was good ;) I'll just have to be really good now for the rest of the day!!
 
MMMMMMMMMMMmmmmm cinnamon roll .... I'm drooling! Sounds so yummy!!! Sounds like you had a kick ass workout though and you burned a lot of calories so it ain't no thang!!! That's cool that you checked out the 30 Day Shred! It's only been 3 days in a row for me and it's NOT getting easier!! LOL but level 1 is a lot of arms (not sure how the other levels are yet) and I have THE WEAKEST ARMS EVER!!! But I know those push ups to dumbell press to push ups to dumbell press will whip them into shape in no time!

Was thinking about the gym today, but not sure just yet. Sam has her Friday morning school thing till 10 and I have a client at 3 so there is definately enough time in there. I might just do a workout at home and try and make the gym this weekend.

I did get my studel yesterday :blush5:, but was very proud of myself... instead of buying a whole package of them I went to the bakery and only got 2. Had one last night :drool5:. I made a deal with myself that I only get the other one after a hard workout!!

Well I would have to say it's been a pretty good week. I'm so happy it's Friday though!!

So I didn't make it too the gym yesterday, but I did have to shovel the driveway :p We got 6 inches of the heavy, wet, white stuff and it only took me 1/2 hour to shovel the whole thing... I'm getting good ;)

Today we were out most of the day, but I did get some new runners so I figured I might as well try them out. I did level one of the 30 day shred. I pushed it as hard as I could and wore my watch. I was able to keep my HR up the whole time and burned the same amount of cals as 30min on the treadmill... according to the watch.

The food/craving issue is starting to drive me nuts. I WANT TO EAT ALL THE TIME right now. It's stupid!! And I'm craving really different things... mexican, chinese, vietnamese, and baking. For supper tonight I made grilled shrimp with rice noodles and a peanut sauce, topped with mixed nuts and cucumber. It was the most delicious I've ever had. That was just over an hour ago and already my mind is thinking of what I could have next. Oh well, at least I got a workout in :svengo:
 
Weekend is over :( I am sore all over. The girls had a birthday party yesterday afternoon... pizza, chips, pop and ice cream cake. I did very well. 2 pieces of pizza, no chips or pop and only 1/2 a small piece of ice cream cake. But on the way home my husband (who went to the gym instead of the party... good boy :) ) stopped at KFC b/c he was hungry. His meal came with an apple turnover so of course he gave it to me, and over course I ate it :p On a positive note though I did workout last night while the girls were in thier bath. I did the squat video with abs and some pushups just for fun. Burned off 120 cals according to my watch. Speaking of my watch, my sister has been wanting me to wear it during sex to see how many cals you burn... not to many. Quite dissapointing actually... 11 cals... that's it!!! But I did wear it for the morning for a little experiment and in one hour of just normal morning activity I burned 72 cals... took an hour and a half to burn 100 cals. Therefore, in a relatively inactive day just doing normal around the house stuff I would burn just over 1000 cals. Kinda neat.

Not sure what today is going to bring just yet. I need to get some work done around here. I really miss being able to through a kid in a stroller and just go for a walk.

Anyway, it is Monday and I'm ready for another awesome week. This weeks goals are going to be more about food than anything. I need to get myself back on track. I'm at the point where I am very happy with my size but I really want to start toning it up... and that's not going to happy with turnovers ;)

OOOO, here is a pic from yesterday. I just had to get one of these boots. A friend gave them to me last year and I couldn't get them all the way up b/c my calves where too big :p Not anymore!!! Of course it did take two of us to get them up over my jean but we did it and I looked FABULOUS!!!!!

I am happy that the weekend is over too. Classes start this week so I will be back to that routine again. Last week was good for both of us, so let's keep it rockin' :coolgleamA:

I can't believe it's been 5 days since I've been to the gym :( I miss it!! Oh well, I'll be there in a couple of hours. I did a bunch of research yesterday on weight training. I really happy with my body, but I want to start changing my focus slightly to toning everything up. Everything I read was the same (which is nice for a change)... you can`t rely on exercise alone, you have to change your diet. So I started a food log again... here is yesterday:

6:30am - 2 cups coffee with 2 tbsp half and half - 44cals

9am - 1 cup optimun cereal with half cup skim milk - 135cals

10:45 - 1 cup green tea - 0cals

11:15 - half cup cottage cheese, 1 banana, 1 tbsp honey - 189cals

1:30pm - 1 cup oriental noodles with 1/3 cup alfredo sauce - 399cals

6pm - 1 cup tortilini w/ 1/2 cup homeade pasta sauce - 380cals

8:30pm - 2 mini multigrain rice cakes w/ 1 teaspoon nutella - 50cals
- 1/2 cup mixed nuts - 75 cals

Total : 1372cals
Water : 3 16oz bottles
Exercise : 1 hour housework

Not a horrible day, but I can definately do better... and I will!!!

I do eat better when I'm writing it all down. There have even been times when I won't eat something just b/c I DON'T want to have to write it down ;)

Abs and thighs are the big ones for me... and arms too of course... pretty much everything :)



I had a hell of a time at the gym yesterday... I could not run if my life depended on it!! First off, the place was packed. I didn't think I was even going to get on a treadmill, but there was one at the very end... without a tv. I'm not sure if that was it (I wasn't as distracted?) or the fact I hadn't ran in 5 days but I couldn't breathe. I jumped on with the attitude that I was going to run a mile... incline 1.0, speed 6.0mph. At 5min,30sec I had to walk it was ridiculous :p I walked the rest of the first 10min on incline 5.0, 4.0mph... then tried running again, this time no incline, 6.8mph. I got like a minute and a half and was ready to pass out. My HR was at 189 so I knew I wasn't just being lazy ;) Anyway, I still tried to push myself and hit the 2mile mark around 24min which is still an ok time for me. I think my best time has been 3K in 22min, which is just under 2miles.

Weights were good. I did upper and lower body at my max weight... lots of abs. I am really sore all over so I think that might have something to do with it too. Too much lactic acid built up right now... I don't know...

Food was pretty good... untill later :reddevil:

7am - 2cups coffee w/ half and half - 44cals

7:45 - 1 cup optimun cereal, 1/2cup skim milk - 235cals

11am - yoptimal yogart, mini ww rice cake, ff cream cheese - 115cals

11:30 - turkey pepperoni, ckn and bean quesadillia - 310cals

12:30pm - 1 cup green tea, mini rice cake, cream cheese - 25cals

3pm - 1 cup coffee, half and half, 3 pieces dark chocolate - 112cals

5 - 1 cup snap peas - 20cals

6 - 1/3 pork chop, 1/2 cup baked diced potatoes, 1/2 cup corn - 431 cals

7 - 1cup coffee with cream, 1/2 blueberry fritter 1/3 honey cruller - 310cals

Total: 1602cals
Water: 48oz
Exercise: 1/2 hour cardio, 1/2 hour weights

Not sure what today has in store for me yet, but it's Wednesday (hump day) so it should be good :)

Yesterday looks good! Even if you couldn't run much, you still gave it your all :D You'll get back into the swing of it very quickly though.

My gym was PACKED this morning too!! I could not believe it. IDK if it was because I went at a later time or because everyone is working on their new years resolutions now... but I'm like GET OUT THE WAY!!!! lol :D
