Mostly a promise, dripping with threat. But really, great job on the loss...I'm just jealous...

I wanted to update before I went to bed tonight.. I'm so tired, I have a horrible headache, and I ate weird today, but feel obligated to post in my diary :)


I had my usual egg sandwich for breakfast. About an hour later I wasn't hungry but was eyeing those peanuts I bought the other night.. and I just had to have some.. "some" ended up being a lot- I drank a diet coke figuring that would make me full and not want more, it didn't work.. I ate even though I felt really stuffed- I estimate I had 2 cups of peanuts. I didn't realize that I ate over 1000 calories in peanuts alone, that may explain why I'm not hungry now, so many hours later ... Then I had an Italian Ice.






Here's my menu:

I had 2 cinnamon teddy grahams in the car.

Breakfast - usual egg sandwich, (1 egg w/ skim milk), 2 slices white bread, 1 slice fat free cheese, skim milk w/ a little low-fat chocolate milk. 1/2 apple Vitamins. 340 calories.

Lunch - peanuts - 1144

Italian Ice - 120 calories

4 cups of coffee - 240 calories

Total calories today: 1844- holy crap...

And I didn't exercise today. This stinks. Calories are way too high.

Everyone has their bad days....just say to yourself you'll eat better tomorrow...I mean, you've lost 9 lbs! That's amazing! I've only lost 7..I'm jealous too :blush5:
 
Ok... today's update.


today I had my usual breakfast (egg sandwich) with 4 strawberries, vitamins, milk w/ low-fat chocolate milk. 340 calories

Lunch - a peach - 31

1/4 cup of a smoothie (made of fat free yogurt, apples & strawberries) no idea on calories.

snack: 4 goldfish crackers. maybe 10 calories.

Dinner- attempted to eat some salad, HATED the dressing- I thought it was French, it was "fancy French" and tasted like crap - I ended up eating a tomato, 1 slice of lettuce, and 6 crutons.. this didn't satisfy me, so I poured a bowl of Life cereal w/ skim milk (2 servings). 385 calories.

coffee X 3 cups - 180 calories.

total for today: 946 calories & smoothie

I did my P90 dvd, cardio- I totally didn't want to do it, but glad I did and got it done early.
Nothing else exciting to report today- sort of a blah day, it was/is very humid.
 
lol.. Kara- I knew you'd be on me soon about the calories!

I feel really full today. I'm feeling guilty after eating like 1800 calories yesterday.... I went way over and now I'm wondering how that's going to affect me for the rest of the week...

but I might have some fruit before bed..
 
I know ... but you can't allow yourself to get into the mindset of using yesterday's choices to influence today.

And besides, 1800 calories at your current weight is nothing to feel guilty about. It's right on target for you.

snack/lunch: 1/2 bag Smartfood popcorn - 50 calories

Dinner: Grilled cheese ( 2 slices white bread/2 slices fat free cheese) ketchup, diet coke - 380 calories

Snack: slim fast bar - 110 calories

4 cups of coffee - 240 calories

total for today: 1120 calories.

I did my P90 today and cut the grass in the backyard, which is all hilly - I'm hot.
 
Something's not right here.

Yesterday morning I got on the scale- I know, going against my own rule of weighing too much... anyway, I was at 185, yay, another pound lost, or so I thought... I even got on it 2 times after to make sure. This morning I got on, back to 186-wtf. I bet it was those peanuts from the other day.

So I was not in a good mood today. I had 2 servings of Life cereal for breakfast, or a little less since I shared w/ my son .. that was about 320 calories

For lunch/dinner I had 2 slices Papa Gino's pizza/diet coke. That was 566 calories.

3 cups of coffee- 180 calories

Total calories so far - 1066.. I say so far because I bought peaches today and I really want one.

I haven't exercised yet, after seeing the scale go up, I wasn't motivated enough to do it.. I will do it tonight... but wtf is going on. I should know better than to weigh myself more than once a week!!! grrr.

I wasn't able to finish the first round of jumping jacks because I got really bad heartburn.. it was like I've never exercised before, I don't get it. I was in pain, my calves & lower back were killing me as I attempted to finish it.. I did 94 of the 100 ab exercises.. surprised me that I got that far with pizza in my gut.

Anyway, this is why I prefer exercising in the AM before food- ugh

I always ride my bike in the morning before I eat, works the best.

Today was a pretty good day. I feel lighter for some reason. I ended up getting on the scale this morning (again) and was back down to 185. 15 minutes later, without doing anything different, I didn't eat or drink, I was at 187 lol wtf. I hate that scale. Nevertheless, my pants felt a little looser on me today... so I'm not gonna dwell on it (too much).

I'm too tired right now to add up calories, and some of the stuff I don't know the calories for.. but I'm sure I kept it in a safe range.

For breakfast I had my usual egg sandwich, with skim milk & low-fat chocolate milk, 4 strawberries, vitamins.

Lunch: 4 ounces of a smoothie I made- the smoothie consisted of: lowfat vanilla yogurt, bananas, strawberries, apples, 2 tsp honey - yum.

Dinner: Grilled cheese (fat free cheese/2 slices white bread) w/ Diet Coke

Snack: small slice of a calzone I made- broccoli & 2% mozzarella cheese. The slice was about 1/2 inch wide X 5 inches long. My God it was GOOD! I want more....

4 cups of coffee.
 
Today I did well.

For my breakfast/lunch (I didn't eat until around 2PM), I had a bowl of corn flakes w/ 1 packet Splenda, skim milk, vitamins/sambucus - 175 calories

For dinner I had a slice of the broccoli/mozzarella cheese calzone I made yesterday - and a diet Coke. the slice was about 1 in wide by 5 inches long. No idea on the calories in this.

4 cups of coffee - 240 calories

an ice pop - 15 calories

a peach- 40

2 TBSP brown rice. No idea on calories here either.

I walked tonight for a mile 1/2.. I always like when I go more than I planned. I usually try to go a mile, but then I suddenly got a burst of energy and went another 1/2 mile.. If it wasn't so humid out I probably would've went more.. oh well it was something :)
 
So I got on the scale again this morning, I'm at 185... that means I only lost one pound this week. I know it's something but my goal was 2 lbs a week. I know my calories have been too low, especially this week- I'm finding that I'm full very quickly and actually have next to no appetite. I've been doing my P90 5 days a week in addition to walking, so I know I have to bring my calories up.. according to various calorie calculators online, to maintain 185 I would have to eat 2188 calories, to lose weight, I have to eat 1876 (with moderate exercise). I'm not sure where I fall in the activity levels, I assume it's moderate. I do housework everyday (laundry, vacuuming several times a day with the kids home, mopping the kitchen/bathroom at least once a day, sweeping several times a day, dusting, dishes, etc). I do my Power 90 DVD 5 days a week then walk, so I do some form of exercise everyday.

I spend more time sitting though, once everything is done for the day, I figure I spend more time sitting than standing or moving.

I am having a hard time hitting my original goal of 1300 calories a day, I am typically hitting 1000 or less... yesterday I think maybe I hit 700... very bad... I need to find a way to bring the calories up. But I hate feeling full and bloated also.

Anyway, this week's plan is to bring the calories up... maybe I can do that by eating some peanut butter or something. Right now I am feeling sick to my stomach full. I ate an egg sandwich and 3 strawberries.. I feel like I'm going to vomit. :puke: I hope I don't.
 
aw Thanks Jenny! Since I posted my stomach has settled down quite a bit (thankfully). To me, there's nothing worse than that sick to your stomach feeling....
 
I never got around to updating my menu for Sunday because I had to work last night, so here it is.

Sunday's Menu:

Breakfast- egg sandwich, 3 strawberries, skim milk & low-fat chocolate, vitamins. 431 calories ( I used regular milk and 2 % cheese).

Snack: Kudos bar - 100 calories

Lunch: 1 serving Life cereal w/ skim milk - 160 calories

coffee X 4 cups - 240 calories

Dinner: Another 2 servings of Life Cereal - 320 calories

snack: 2 TBSP peanut butter - 190 calories

1/2 tomato - 11 calories

I also walked a mile at the track yesterday.

Total calories - 1452

It wasn't easy bringing my calories up to this point, but I know it would be useless for me not to... I ate when I wasn't hungry, and had to almost force everything down, except for my dinner, I was hungry then.


* I got on the scale this morning, the batteries were dying, so I changed them (this might explain why it was changing and acting odd last week) my official weight this morning 184, which means I did lose another 2 lbs! yay. That's what I'm hoping to lose, 2 lbs a week.

I wish I had the problem of too few calories. I plan for really low calories cause I know I"m going to screw it up somewhere along the lines.
