Here I am! Rock you like a Hurricane (hehe)

Hey girlie I agree with above poster, it's well worth the wait. Just look at all the tv/movies where the guys are totally freaked out about how to propose.

My favorite example is FRIENDS-Chandler bing and Monica made it and he was totally scared of commitment.

Of course I know so little on relationships, but my two cents.

Patience is something i do not have alot of... i need to work on that. I think my secret fear is that i am waiting around for him... and 'what if' he decides he doesnt want those things anymore.... am i wasting my time???

A scary thought indeed....but what if you get married and he decideds he doesnt want those things anymore. Better to find out before you get married if you want the same things - maybe you need to talk to him about what he wants and think about if it jibes with what you want...? Also-maybe waiting prior to engagement will make him feel more secure that he does really want those things. Are there things he is trying to get done first, like save money or finish his education? Anyways, all I know is - Love is a risk you take to make your life better....there are no rules or guarantees. It sounds like he really cares for you, try not to worry :D

Ps I stopped by to tell you I tried the whey protein thing from your other thread. It tastes like coffee creamer with just water, and I somehow botched my smoothie that I tried to make, but Im going to try that recipe that the dude left on your page with bananas and strawberries and see how that tastes.

Cheers, Ash :cheers2:

Hey there!!!!

Hey guys!!! Hope everyone is doing well :cheers2:

Can I just say I absolutely LOVE this weather we are having here in Central Pennsylvania!?! WOW! Woke up this morning to crisp fresh air in my room… the temps have fallen a bit and it seriously feels like fall! It was sooo refreshing… I absolutely love fall weather !

Yesterday was a decent day over all…. Was a little heavy on the calories at breakfast because I did indulge in a nonfat White Chocolate Mocha coffee drink… which is high in sugar and calories…. But I did well the rest of the day so it didn’t break my deficit…. Plus I did work out so I burned some of those calories off! Made an incredible salad last night….. Romaine lettuce with a grilled portabella mushroom, little bit of feta cheese, walnuts, sliced gala apple ( ¼ of one), and about1/4 piece of chicken breast chopped up and on top. 50calories of greek dressing lightly drizzled on top…. DELICIOUS. Wonderful way to nurish my body after my workout!

Been doing much better with not taking in as much coffee the last few days. Today however… I did have about 30 m&m’s….. needed my sugar rush lol…. Other than that though its around 4:30pm… and im sitting at about 880 calories so far for the day. Hitting the gym this evening so that will be a nice kick toward burning some calories before dinner time! :hurray: Gotta stay in that deficit!!!

When I weighed myself yesterday I was 125! I am going to promise not to weigh myself until Friday morning! :toetap05: Hopefully I am going to be down below 125… not back up to 127 like I keep bobbing up and down from… driving me NUTS. Absolutely crazy…. 125… then 127… then 125… then 128. Drives me absolustely NUTS.

One of these days ill just break through and be 123… but until then… im gonna BUST MY BUTT hehe.

My work out yesterday was awesome. This is how it went:
Warm up: 1 mile at a moderate 6.8 mph, followed by an incline walk at 14.0 incline and 4.0 mph
Worked chest: Bench Press, Incline chest press, pectoral fly
Triceps: tricep extensions, some other things I dunno the name of hehe
Abs: 120 crunches, 50 Right side crunches, 50 Leftside crunches, 2 sets of 6 inches… 1 minute each, plank for 1 minute, side planks for 1 minute each, leg lifts w/ ball ( 10), throw downs (25)

Finished up the night with a mile competition with my friend greg who I am very competitive with hehe…. His fastest mile so far was 7:44…… I tied him :) So that is my new record for the mile 7:44

Well… im off to finish up here at work and then head to the gym for my work out!

Later guys!! Im so glad to be back!

OMG! I love your work out AND just reading about the salad made my mouth water!!!!
hahaha! You're doing such a great job!
Love it!!

All the best!!

Hump day... ive made it!!!! and tomorrow is my friday!!!!

Hey guys!
So yesterday I did extremely well on food in my personal opinion. I did have one snack im not too thrilled with… but I kept the calories in check overall so that is my little snacky for the week that I will let slide hehe. Here is my food intake yesterday
Breakfast:
2 slices light wheat toast w/ 2 tbsp of light chunky PB (250 cal)
Coffee w. cream and splenda ( 70 cal approx)

Lunch:
6 inch turkey on wheat sub from subway ( im addicted to the scrabble game lol) ( 280cal)
Light lays chips ( 70 cal)
Fuse green tea with ginseng and honey ( 60 cal)

Snack: 3 handfuls of plain M&M’s ( heheheheh ummmm ya)

Dinner:
Salad made at home involving: grilled chicken, crasins, walnuts pieces, feta, and a little bit of lite gazebo room dressing
Snack: 1 ¼ cups of dry kellogs corn pops ( 140 cal)

That’s my food… did pretty good not snacking other than my damn M&M attack hehe.
Gym was pretty darn good yesterday as well. It was bicep, back, and shoulder day. Let me just say my arms are SORE today!!! That’s a good thing though lol. The boys really pushed me hard yesterday lol. Then I did do a 2 mile at just a slow moderate 6.8 pace until the last 2 minutes where I kicked it into high gear at about a 7.8 pace. Not bad. It was about a 17:45 2mile. My legs were BURNING in my calves by the end after all that running yesterday, so I will be taking a running break today and get on the gazelle or something so that I don’t injure myself…. I know I pushed it a bit yesterday with the running and incline work.

Been feeling great emotionally lately. I really thank Derrick and Clare and whoever else was telling me that I needed to take a small rest… it really did regenergize me and help me clear my mind from frustrations I was running into with the stagnant spell with weightloss . Although I am still hovering at the same weight… I am feeling that my body is becoming more muscular and lean and that I may just be replacing fat with muscle… plus… patience IS A VIRTUE… but those who have been with me this journey… know I am lacking that trait hehe.

I am totally excited because this weekend, starting Friday night, my boy and I are going to Ocean City MD to the beach with his little family. Im excited…. Its nice to go away with his family on a vacation… never did that before! It should be a good time! I am hoping to see fireworks on the beach for Labor day… do they normally do labor day fireworks? I dunno but I am pumped!

Well I will see you all later… this post is by far waaaay too long !!!! :waving:

Well it took me a few days but I finally finished reading your whole journal. It is very inspirational and you have done such an amazing job. I have been struggling with weight loss my whole life and am starting to feel like I'm in the right mind set to finally attack my goals and accomplish them for once. I really like french green beans and love the idea of putting garlic powder on them - I'm going to try that next time I make them.
Thank you for keeping up with the posts and letting me in on your weight loss journey. I hope to be inspirational like you one day. Keep up the good work - can't wait to follow you to 120!:hurray:
p.s. this is my first post. Not sure if I am going to start a journal.

HI Mel, i wasn't trying to bring on the waterworks, just wanted to share my feelings with you. i'm glad you enjoy my company as much as i enjoy yours, we are success stories no doubt about that, and we're still not done! i don't know if i'll hit my goal before you, but man its nice to be so close isn't it!

Ocean City is about an hour from me, I love it there! I went fishing there with my uncles and 2 brothers, deep sea fishing on a boat...dolphins kept coming up and swimming next to us! It was awesome.

Have a great vacay, M!

I am totally copying that salad you made with the portobella mushroom...yummy.

Also, wow, 7:44 mile. Nicely done. I applaud you. I went *walking* today, he he. There's only so much running I can tolerate lately! Twice a week is *more than plenty* for me thank you!! But I did sign up for gym membership this past week so will be getting those muscles nice and lean. Maybe after that, I'll try to catch up to your mile time!

Bye for now!

I hope you are having a great time. I'm glad you are feeling more energized. I took a break myself the last week and just focused on getting my diet where it should be. It's also good to hear you are believing you are looking better even though your weight hasn't changed. That's a good sign. Sometimes it takes us a while to actually start to like and appreciate our own bodies even though everyone else thinks we look good.

Hey guys!!! Back from the beach... HOLY HOLIDAY TRAFFIC coming home... geez. Its suppose to be like a 4 hr drive home from the beach... yeah... we left at 12:30... got home at 8:00

psh.... loooottttts of traffic. Ill update more tomorrow ... here are some pics tho :coolgleamA:
