Here comes the bride...6 months to go!!

Congrats on running the 10K all the way through! That is awesome! I agree, I wish we could run together because we could keep up with each other pretty good :) Sounds like your Easter was like mine - spending half the day sleeping! Gah, I was SO hungover too! I couldn't even stand the smell of the food in the kitchen for a while, it was that bad! Good job getting rid of the rest of your chocolates. Look at it this way: the holiday's are over for a while... well at least the ones that involve candy and pies! Anyway, I'm glad you're back and I'm ready for a great week. I thought of you when I decided I had to weigh myself. I thought of how you would always say "face the music" so that's what I did :) So thank you!

TTYL,
~ Sarah

Holiday derail alot of people so you are not alone! If you eat clean and workout this week you should be back in the 140's!!!!!
I agree and know it can be done!! I just gotta DO IT!

Oh dear, lovely. Tequilia is not good! But it wasn't a *terrible* weekend and you're back on the wagon now!
Thanks sunflower - after writing it all out there was some good so it did make me feel better about it!

I thought of you when I decided I had to weigh myself. I thought of how you would always say "face the music" so that's what I did :) So thank you!

Yes sometimes facing the music is the best motivation! Glad to have you back this week - it's always motivating to know others are working hard!

I forgot to mention I got a call that my wedding dress is in!! It's about a four hour drive into the US to where I ordered it and they are going to have to alter it to a sweet heart style and maybe make it shorter too so I'm going to wait a month or so before I go and try it on. Gives me motivation to kick it up a notch! I got so excited I screamed when I heard the message on the machine - it's almost less than 4 months away now!!! Planning has been a little stressful trying to make both families happy - who knew deciding what to write on the invitations would be so complicated!! Anyway just wanted to mention my excitement about my dress!! I need to keep that thought in my head when I go off track!!

"it's almost less than 4 months away now!!! Planning has been a little stressful trying to make both families happy - who knew deciding what to write on the invitations would be so complicated!!"

:iagree: I almost regretted not just going to jamaica and elope!!!!:willy_nilly:it's crazy how many people butt in when you try to plan your wedding! At one point I sat down the parents and said, I am tired of making every body happy it is our wedding not yours we have to make us happy it is after all ours to remember! That help a little but not as much as hoped, put that stress into your workout!!!

Sorry to hear about the puking and chocolate and whatnot!! well it was a holiday so just look at it as a special occasion. It's okay if you messed up a little just get back on track right now! *hugs*

it is our wedding not yours we have to make us happy it is after all ours to remember

:iagree:

Seriously. It's your wedding and you and your future hubby need to do what will make you happy. We did with ours. My mom and hubby's mom both thought that we weren't making the right choices. My mom was ok about it for the most part, once I told her we would do what made us happy. But hubby's mom got all passive aggressive on us and wouldn't talk to us about wedding stuff at all. And we were living with her at the time!!! It very nearly ruined my fun in planning it all. But we stuck to our decisions and now everyone, even the MIL, tells us it was the most beautiful, personal and fun wedding they had ever been to. And what's even better is that it was "us". It reflected who we were and it was classy and pretty, but still comfortable and not stuffy or over done. One of the best days of my life, as it should be.

It's yours and you'll remember it forever. Do it for the two of you.

Hey Lisa,

We both did crappy this weekend :banghead:! I can't stay mad at us though...I feel like we talk about this every Monday but its true so i'll say it again...yes we have been messing up a lot lately on weekends, and we are not at our goal weights, BUT, I do believe 100% that we have really suceeded in making a life change because by Monday we are ready to start all over again and get back to our plans and goals instead of just giving up for good like we would of in the past...I am just hoping that one day soon we will get through a weekend without giving into all of the tempations, expecially because we keep putting such bad food into our systems. Its a new week and I am looking foward to both of us getting back on track! I am so excited about your wedding dress! That should be a huge motivation for you, you should put a picture of it up somewhere at home to push you even further when you don't feel like working out. keep up the positive attitude and hard work this week! We can do this!

I ate a lot of chocolate from easter too :blush5: eff. damn the holidays... Congrats on getting into the 140s! I'm pretty sure I'll burst into tears when I get to that point, lolll.

Damn long message got erased again and I don't have time to write it all out because I am swamped at work.
Mizzie thanks for remembering my past with Wednesdays and unfortunately this one is not looking much brigther. I almost called in sick this morning but remembered I have a busy day ahead and couldn't afford to not be here because the rest of the week is going to be really busy.
Eating was great yesterday up until 10pm and then I couldn't stop with the snacks. It was all pretty healthy because I don't have any junk in the house but still unnecessary and right before bed made me feel ick!
Good news - I walked at lunch break 2km (15min) and then when I got home from work I ran 10km straight again!! I did it in 65 min too including a 5 min warm up and stopped to stretch 3 times. It felt so good and I amaze myself everytime I complete this. Around the 8.5 km mark my legs started to really feel it but I didn't stop. I think I need a break from running tonight and will probably do a dvd or go for a bike ride because it's supposed to be nice again.
I'm not looking forward to my weigh in tomorrow and dread going back up to the 150's. I'm going to do my best today and that's all I can ask for.
Have a great day everyone - sorry I don't have time to visit!!!

Hey Lisa, sorry to hear you're up for a stressful day at work but it's good that you didn't call in so that you don't have to deal with it all before the weekend starts! Great job with the 10K once again! I don't think you should be worried about your weigh in tomorrow. Stay positive! :)

147.8!!!:hurray:
So pumped!! 12.8 pounds to go and 4 months! It's coming up so soon and I think that is really going to motivate me with continuing and pushing hard!
So yesterday and was crazy at work and today is looking the same but yesterday turned out to be a great day, here's how it looked:
B - ff yogurt & all bran buds
Snack - 2 cups mint green tea
L - instant regular oatmeal w 1 cup frozen blueberries, 3 hb egg whites (yolk removed) sprinkled with cayanne pepper & salt.
Exercise - walked to my chiropractor appointment & back (approx 3km total)
Snack - 1/2 cup green grapes
D - tuna melts - two pieces WW whole wheat bread, sweet pickles, mayo & 1 ff cheese slice melting open face w an apple instead of the soup my hunnie was having (I was trying to stay away from salt!)
Exercise - went to the gym and did 20 min eliptical, 25 min arm machines, 10 min rower, two good stretches & some push-ups (I've been really slacking on abs and core lately)
Snacks - 3 mini cucumbers chopped w white balsamic vinegar & salt, big cup decaf green tea w lemon, 3 thin slices cheddar cheese.
This morning I got up and went on the treadmill! Hopeing to do the same tomorrow since we will be driving all weekend so I won't get my usual workouts in - I hope to walk around a few malls though! And maybe buy some heavy stuff so my arms get a work out carrying it all around the mall! I rented a hotel room 4km away from the mall so I can walk there if my hunnie doesn't want to shop and he can relax in the room. I'm also excited to get back to my gym schedule next week since we will have two vehicles!!
Oh and I took measurements this morning.
Feb 11/Today (April 8)
Chest - 36 / 35 (down 1)
Waist (smallest) - 30.5/ 28 (down 2.5)
Waist (bbutton)- 35 / 30 (down 5)!!! This can't be right - I'll have to check again tomorrow!!
Hips - 39 / 37 (down 2)
Thigh - 23 / 21 (down 2)
Calf -14.5/ 14.5 (no change)
Arm -12.5/ 11.5 (down 1)
So I was hoping my arms would be down more but everything else is looking really good!! I think I am just about where I was before Christmas! So exciting to get to new levels again and see my body in a way I've never seen it.
Have a great Thursday everyone! You know I will!!

I could tell right away after reading your response in my journal that you had a good weigh in :D So positive! Congrats! I knew you'd do fine :) Your measurements are great! 30 inches at your belly button!? crazy! Can you imagine another 4 months from now :p You have me really pumped for my weigh in tomorrow and gave me a lot of motivation to go above and beyond today! Thank you! :)

 Congrats on your weight loss Lisa!!! You did so great this week:hurray:! I am really glad that you are so on track, its so motivating to see you doing so well! The weekend is coming up and you are going to be out of your element so make sure you pack some healthy snacks for your trip and plan ahead to help you to stay on tack this weekend. Its great that you plan to walk to the mall to get some physical activity in. Good Job this week, you are getting so close to your goal! Keep it up!

Woot! Grats on the weigh in and the inches lost! That's so great. You'll be at your goal weight in no time and look smoking hot for your wedding!

WOW!!!!!!!! That is SO INSPIRING!!!!!! :cheers2:!! I'm so happy for you!!! This is exactly what you needed!!!! I want that so bad!!!! You are living the Vida Loca!!! OouuuuUuu!!!

...I can't wait to workout tonight and DO IT!!! Love ya woman!!! I'm so excited for your measurements!!! Looking HOT!!! :drool5:!!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....:jump:!!!! You are insane!!! I feel pudy...I have some MASSIVE catching up to do!!!!

You are kicking some serious butt and are going to be a beautiful bride. Losing a little over 12 pounds in 4 months is totally doable and I know you will make it. Messing up on the weekend isn't so bad when you get right back in the saddle come Monday, plus you are seeing great results. I would love to have the same waist measurement that I had when I got married. I had a 28" waist then, but then again I was 17 and didn't have four kids lmao. Way to go girly!

Nice work girl!!!! 10k... seriously?!?!? You rock :D So nice to hear you so positive... I LOVE IT!!! Have you tried brushing your teeth before you sit down and settle in for the night?? Then it's nothing but water. I've started drinking carbonated water over ice with lemon at night (out of a wine glass). I feel less deprived ;)

THanks Sarah! I measured again this morning and it was 32 inches so I think I messed that up. I'm still happy with 32 though! I'll get to 30 soon!

Thanks Janvier! We went grocery shopping last night and got stuff to make healthy sandwiches and some fruit and veggies to pack in a cooler as well. I do want to go to a nice restaurant on Saturday night and indulge a little - just a little!

Thanks Mizzie - I do think these last 12 pounds are going to be pretty stubborn so I'm going to have to kick it up a notch!

I feel pudy...I have some MASSIVE catching up to do!!!!
Thanks Alta! I want you to catch up too! Now that you are getting settled I see a come back in your near future! Let's rock the 140's together!

Thanks disney mom - I work really hard during the week so I can have a couple treats on the weekend - it's what keeps me going!!

Thanks Marie! I know - 10km! I can hardly believe it when I complete it with energy to spare! I have tried brushing my teeth and sometimes it works - sometimes I just forget that trick. That's so cute about the water in the wine glass!! I might have to try that! I have been continuing with lemon in my water in the evenings so I drink more and lately a little lemon in tea at night which is working too!!

Here's how yesterday looked:
Exercise - 25 min treadmill (2 miles)
B - ff yogurt
Snacks - 2 cups mint green tea
L - instant regular oatmeal w 1 1/2 cups frozen blueberries.
Snack - 1 cup green grapes
Exercise - 15 min run outside (2.5 km) was going to do 5km but it was too windy out and I wasn't enjoying it. Warmed up inside doing jumping jacks and skipping and then stretched before I went - stretched after too!!
D - 5 chicken nuggets, handful yam fries w ketchup, big veggie salad w balsamic vinegar & olive oil. Normally I would just have like 10 nuggets and half the package of yam fries but I decided to fill up on salad instead!
Snacks- sm bowl salt & vinegar kettle chips (hunnie picked them up and I couldn't resist! - but I stopped after a sm bowl!!), decaf green tea w lemon
So overall it wasn't great but I didn't feel guilty about the chips because I didn't eat the whole bag like I used to!
Got up this morning again to do the treadmill! Not sure what kind of a workout I'm going to do after work but I hope to do something. Maybe even go to the gym. We leave early tomorrow morning and need to pack and clean the car out before we go. We are also going to pack a cooler full of healthy snacks for the way so we aren't tempted to eat cookies at Tim's! I don't think I will ever want one of those cookies again after seeing all the calories in one!
Happy Friday everyone!! Have a great weekend - I know I will!! So excited to do some shopping!
