Here comes the bride...6 months to go!!

:banghead:Grrrrrr I couldn't log in yesterday and now today I had a huge message ready to submit and I had copied the whole message knowing this happens to me all the time and then before I could paste it I had to go to my email to get my new password since I tried changing it again yesterday and copied the password and totally forgot I had my message copied so that was now lost.:banghead: So frustrating!!
Anyway to sum it up because I don't have time to write it all again - Monday was an awesome day - was under my daily points target by 1 and went to an hour kettle bell strength class - it was really intense and my arms and legs are still killing me today - it wasn't like the kettle bell circuit class I'm used to and it was all lifting and squats!!
Tuesday was going great! I had 3 points left a 8:30 pm. I did 40 min treadmill (3.2 miles, 420 cal), 30 min BOSU absolute abs dvd & then another 20 min treadmill (1.25 miles, 170 cal). I just wasn't able to run because of all the squats the day before my legs were heavy! So my hunnie was out in the garage jamming with his friends and I had a break down - I just went crazy in the kitchen eating everything I could find - cereal, pudding, granola bars - not the healthy kinds either - the kinds my hunnie buys and eats! It was horrible - total waste to all the working out I had just finished!!
So today is a new day and I just keep telling myself that - tomorrow is weigh-in so today will be extra great! I hope to do another BOSU dvd tonight and maybe go to the gym - I'm just still sooo sore!
Have a good day everyone - this better post or I might have to go eat the whole vending machine!!

If there's a silver lining...maybe it's that you went crazy with cereal, pudding and granola bars and not pizza, cheeseburgers and icecream? :)

And you're right! Today IS a new day!!! Don't beat yourself up over Tuesday...it's gone.

You're doing great!

Fit

Hey Lisa,

You are such a workout machine! Your workouts are so inspiring, I wish I had even half of your energy. I'm glad you did so great on Monday, and your workouts yesterday were amazing! You burned 590 calories all together on your tredmill!!! Thats crazy good! I wouldn't worry about your snack breakdown very much, I've done it a million times lol and yes you didn't need it, but you burned so many calories with your workout that it had to even out your snacks. Your positive attitude is always so great, your right that today is a new day and a new start and I know your going to do great! With such amazing workouts I have faith that you will see some great results on the scale during your weigh in tomorrow! Stay positive and keep up the great work, and if you get snacky after your workout try having some fruits, veggies or tea as an alternitive, it might just do the trick! Have a great Wednesday!

I just went crazy in the kitchen eating everything I could find - cereal, pudding, granola bars - not the healthy kinds either - the kinds my hunnie buys and eats! It was horrible - total waste to all the working out I had just finished!!

So what were you feeling when you raided the kitchen... what was the motivation behind it??

Hey Lisa,

Stay positive and keep up the great work, and if you get snacky after your workout try having some fruits, veggies or tea as an alternitive, it might just do the trick! Have a great Wednesday!

Thanks Janvier - I did have a small banana and some sliced turkey after the workout which was exactly using my points for the day - I even tried chewing some gum for a bit, lol. I just went nuts - when I am alone I just can't say no.

So what were you feeling when you raided the kitchen... what was the motivation behind it??

I don't know - I was getting tired and ready for bed. I really don't think I was feeling hungry - I just didn't feel satisfied. I kept saying to myself "your so bad - you don't need this" and it was just one thing after the other. I didn't feel like I was getting full either. I made sure to do it all before my hunnie came in and I also hid the evidence of rappers - sound like the symptoms of a binge eater or what! I have been reading more about binge eating because I know I have a problem with it. It's not really mindless either like I stated because I was talking to myself in my head as I was doing it "your ruining all your hard work", "yumm this tastes so good", "why are you doing this", "what else is there to eat", "why do you always mess up like this", and on and on until my hunnie came in the house and I went to bed.
What are your thoughts Marie? I don't know how to handle it or change it. I want to though - or do I?

One day, One day, One day I'm gonna be able to workout just like you!!!! Have a great day Lisa!!!!!

Thank you - I really enjoy exercising and I don't really have any other hobbies and no children yet to occupy my time. I love the feeling of a good burn!

Hey Lisa - awesome workouts as always! Tuesday night snacking... not so awesome but it happens to ALL of us! A few weekends ago when I came back to my house at school and no one was home I was sitting around sooo bored. I had worked out that day and ate great but when I was in the house by myself watching TV... I started eating like CRAZY! I went to the pantry and started eating all of the sugary cereal that I could - just handfuls of dry cereal - cocoa puffs, fruit loops, berry kix... and I didn't stop after 2 or 3 handfuls. I just kept going. And I was hoping no one would walk in a see me! How embarrassing if someone would see me. I don't think I even wrote about that in my diary... because it was just STUPID! Sometimes we can't control ourselves but the key is that we stay under control 98% of the time... the other 2% well.. we can let loose a little? :p

Anyways, stay strong today and FINISH strong! Good luck with weigh in tomorrow, I can't wait to hear about it!
~ Sarah

This is more like it - 157.4!! I knew last week's weigh-in was mostly water weight because I was shocked at how heavy I was!! Now only 12.4 pounds to lose until I am back to my lowest weight ever which sounds so much better than 19 pounds! I figure it will take me another month to get back into the 140's and that is exactly what I am going to do. My parents get back from Arizona around the middle of April - depending when all the snow is gone here and I would love to be back to 145 which is what they saw me at around xmas. My mom wants to lose 10 pounds before the wedding too so I think having her back at home will be really motivating. She doesn't walk as fast but I still like going for walks with her. She is probably one of my closet friends and I really miss here being around in the winter. Last year I was able to go and visit them for a week in Arizona but I just can't afford it this year - the flights are just too expensive and I really don't have many holidays left with work because I have a two weeks booked for the wedding. My sisters are going to visit in the next month and I'm so jealous.
Back to weight loss - I also took my measurements this morning and there are a couple small improvements!
Since Feb. 11th -
Chest - forgot to measure this morning
Waist (natural) - 30 (down 1/2 inch)
Waist (belly button) - 34 (down 1 inch)
Hips - 39 (same)
Upper arm - 12 (down 1/2 inch)
Thigh - 23 (same)
Calf - 15 (up 1/2 inch)

Oh and eating was awesome yesterday! Here's how it looked:
B - ff yogurt & all bran buds
Snack - 2 cups mint green tea
L - instant regular oatmeal w 1 cup frozen sliced strawberries
I packed an apple for a snack but I forgot about it and didn't eat it
D - small whole wheat & flax tortilla (100cal), salsa, onion, pepper, green olives, 2 oz ground deer meat, light shredded cheese (melted in oven)
Exercise - I really didn't feel like doing anything yesterday and I was so crabby and taking it all out on my hunnie and went upstairs to my bed and took a time out - told myself I would feel better if I just got on the treadmill and walk for a bit so that's what I did!
30 min treadmill (2.2 miles, 300 cal), 15 min arm workout with 10 lb dumbbells, 3 sets of 15 reps push-ups and curl-ups on the exercise ball.
I felt so much better and apologized for my craziness - I finished my pack of pills today so that usually makes me a little crazier! Going back to skipping my period for the time being - last month was torture.
Snacks - well it was really a second dinner but I still had 10 WW points left! I had some mixed greens w green onion, yellow peppers, salsa, cal wise ranch dressing, shredded cheese & deer meat (6 points)
And that was it!! I ended up having 4 points left! So excited! I know I am supposed to use all my points but there were a couple days I was WAY over so this balances it out a bit. I'm really excited about the week ahead! I just want the scale to keep going down so I am going to work really hard for that to happen! Feeling great today! Happy Thursday everyone!

7 lbs down!!! WOW!!! Way to go!!!!!! Sorry I don't have much time! Just stopping in to say great job on that ticker!! :D!!!

Awesome job! You're back on track now! I'm so happy for you! I won't be on here tomorrow so I won't be able to talk to you til Monday... so have a great weekend and keep up the good work! :)

Hey you are doing great!!!!!!! I haven't really had a lot of time to keep up with everyones diary until today I just wanted to day hi, and Congrats
:cheers2:

:hurray: WooHoo! Thats so great Lisa! Congrats on your weight loss. I'm so proud of you for doing SO well this week! It sounds like your really ready to stick to your goals. I'm sorry you aren't able to go visit your family in Arizona this year, but it will be nice when your mom comes to visit you so you can help her lose her 10 pounds, it will be really nice for you to be her inspiration and motivation for her own weight loss. I have been helping my mom as well, she doesn't work out, but I have taught her a lot about what I have learned about eating well over the past year and she lost 20 pounds just from changing her eating! Now she is ready to tone up starting in March and I'll be helping her. I think its so great to be able to teach someone else and see it make a difference for them. You will both look so amazing for your wedding! Congrats again on such a great week! I know your going to continue doing great and get back into the 140s!

Thank you so much Alta, Sarah, mrskt, verobc & Janvier - your support means so much! I'm not going to let you down again this time - or myself for that matter! I had another great day yesterday! Here's how it looked:
B- ff yogurt & all bran buds
Snack - 2 cups mint green tea
L - 1/2 bag of garden greens w green onion & yellow peppers w ff california dressing,
Snack (3pm)- apple
Snack (5pm)- PB curves bar
D - (6:30pm) - 1 lg sweet potato baked w dill & little bit olive oil, 2.5 oz lightly breaded pickeral pan fried in 2 tbsp olive oil (the olive oil was for all the fish we cooked - my hunnie's piece was 10 oz!!), ketchup, sm veggie side salad w olive oil & balsamic vinegar.
Exercise - 50 min treadmill (4.4 miles, 530 cal) 3 sets 15 reps push-ups and curl-ups on the ball.
Snack - apple, s.f jello, choc pudding cup.
I used all my points today but didn't go over!! I also earned 6 activity points!

I haven't been to the gym in a couple days and have been enjoying working out at home after dinner. I find I'm not as hungry for snacks that way. When I work out right after work and then come home and eat dinner right away then I have the rest of the night to think about food but if I work out after dinner I usually get some cleaning done first thing when I get home from work and then work on dinner and then after my food settles work out - then there isn't much time inbetween that and getting ready for bed.
So my hunnie is back to work and therefore we are back to sharing the car because they haven't given him a work truck yet - which is why I haven't been going to the gym after work because he picks me up and we go straight home. So when he was off I got really used to him cleaning and having dinner ready for me when I got home. Now that he's working again I miss my house wife at home - I come home and have to do all the cleaning and think about what to make for dinner and it has been driving me crazy. Yesterday I had to the dishes when I got home and again after dinner because if I didn't do them after dinner I would have to do them when I get home tonight and nothing bugs me more than dirty dishes - I try to tell this to my hunnie so that he will help me out and he just says - just don't do them and leave them there and I will get around to it - well he doesn't and then I have a million more dishes to do! Grr and he has never washed the towels - like he uses them too and knows how to do laundry so why can't he throw them in there!! Anyway that's my vent for the day - I have been really crabby in the evenings lately because of that but the workouts seem to make me in a better mood. Keeping up with the cleaning helps too because then I don't feel so overwhelmed! I got 4 loads of laundry done yesterday! hopefully I won't have much to do this weekend and can do some relaxing.
Have a great weekend everyone - chat with you Monday!! I think it's going to be a good one!

Lisa I am so proud of you this week, you have no idea! You have done so well! I love that you called your hunnie your "house wife" I honeslty laughed out loud lol. Whenever i'm down about a bad weight loss day that i've had I always talk to my cousin about it, he did sports and fitness in university and has so much great advice, and he always tells me when your in a bad mood about whatever it may be, or your sad or fustrated, he always says the best thing to do is go and workout and put alllll of that anger/sadness/fustration into your workout and leave it there. And I completely think that it works, just like it has been for you. I know how fustrating it can be when it seems like your the only one who does anything in your home, but if you continue putting those feelings into your work outs maybe it would be a great place for you to put your fustrations and leave them there. I am so happy for us this week, and I am so confident that we will both work hard through out the weekend and come back to kick some more weight loss butt next week! I cant wait to hear how you did! Have a wonderful, relaxing and healthy weekend! :seeya:

Ok I have to make this quick because my boss is here this morning! Darn too because I have lots of catching up to do over the weekend on everyone's journals. Ok so this weekend was pretty good - mostly maintaining because I ate some crap but I also worked my butt off.
Friday I took the night off exercise because I couldn't remember the last day off I had and I filled up on spaghetti for dinner and didn't feel like doing much after that. Went to bed pretty early for a Friday.
Saturday woke up early and headed to Kettle Bell. I did 25 min on the bike before the 1 hr Kettle Bell Circuit class - lots of squats, push-ups and sweating involved. When I got home my hunnie was talking about going skating for a bit and I wanted to go too but I didn't have skates so we went to a second hand sports store and I got a nice pair with pink laces for $30. We found an outdoor rink by our house and skated for approx. 15 min before my ankles were ready to give out. I hadn't been on skates for almost 10 years so I think lasting 15 min was pretty good. We went home and had a nap and then made plans to go to a friend's house to play some board games. I was pretty lazy when I woke up so I decided to jump on the treadmill and did 2.4 miles, 352 cal in 35 min then got in the shower and ready to go. It was good I got lots of exercise because at the friend's I had two rye & diet coke & a bunch of munchies - pizza, chips, spinach dip - the usuals. Wasn't too bad compared to what it could have been and felt like I burned enough cals during the day to make up for it.
Sunday I woke up pretty late - it was nice to sleep in. Dropped my hunnie off at his friends to watch the game and headed to the gym around 1pm. They had this cool thing going on where they had all the classes shortened into 20 min all day so people could try them out. So I figured I would make a day out of it - so each class was 20 min back to back I did - step aerobics, power barbell, kettle bell, zoomba, physique 57 & yoga. It felt so great and went by so fast! I was soaked with sweat. I then went to the place where my hunnie was watching the game and had 1 beer & two hot dogs and a couple chips - damn get togethers. Oh well it was lots of fun and I worked hard for it.
So it could have been better but it also could have been a lot worse. I'm looking forward to the week ahead and really feel like I will be down again come weigh-in. Tonight is Kettle Bell strength at the gym and we need groceries too. OK gtg. Hopefully I get to read some journals today.

Wow, you did awesome this weekend! I wish my weekend was like yours! Mine was terrible... and now I'm paying for it. I'm sick! I just want to lay in bed all day but I know I can't, and I need the exercise! The only good thing about being sick is that I don't eat as much... lol! I'm very happy you did so good this weekend, it has really motivated me to pick it up and get my booty in gear. It's already March now and only 3 weeks away from my spring break so I CAN'T make any excuses for myself now! I hope I can be as strong as you!

Have a great day Lisa, hopefully hear from you again at some point today!
~ Sarah
