Here comes the bride...1 MONTH TO GO!!!

LOL When I looked at your pics I knew you reminded me of someone but I couldn't put a name, WOW you really do look like her!! Great job on the loss Lisa!!!! Great Workouts!!!!!

Sorry I've not been checking up on you, lovely--Life has a horrible way of taking up all my time these days!! Hope all is well <3

Thanks friends!
Well it's Monday and I'm tired, hahah - I should have got up and did the treadmill this morning but my bed was so comfy! Started with the green tea this morning so that should wake me up. Weekend was so-so. Not as great as it could have been but not nearly as bad as some.
Friday - 30 min cycle at lunch, really healthy breakfast & lunch and dinner was chicken wings on the bbq, asian salad & brushetta on french bread. I had 2 glasses of wine and a couple chips but nothing over the top.
Saturday - woke up early and got some running around done in town. Hunnie was going golfing for the afternoon and I had plans to clean the house and go for a run but I ended up reading my twilight book for 4 hours! Only had a chicken snack wrap from Tim's before 6pm so when hunnie got home from golf I was starving and we decided to order in Chinese - it was pretty yummy and really salty - not so healthy but I didn't over do it. We spent the night talking about the wedding and going over the music list. Then watched a movie and had a couple chips and soda - no workout for me this day.
Sunday - woke up and went to an hour spinning class. It was supposed to rain but instead looked very nice so when I got home from spinning we went golfing with my parents. Walked 9 holes pulling my cart. Then went and had dinner at my parents - steak, perogies, salad & mashed yams. My mom gave out chocolate ice cream for dessert and I should have said no but I didn't. I also had a couple chocolate chip cookies after golf and some left over Chinese before golf - so not the best eating today but I got a lot of exercise. No snacks before bed because I had a tummy ache.
So I'm all ready to have a healthy week and get lots of exercise. Tonight I'm going to the gym to do some running on the treadmill - I wanted to get a run in this weekend but didnt' so that was disappointing. I hope to do at least 7km again tonight and some arm weights too.
Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Looks like you had a fun weekend, and not too bad at all!! Honestly it really is about lifestyle changes, and in real life... you are going to treat yourself on the weekends a bit more than you do during the week!! The difference is now you do exercise, and you control the amount you're eating!! Everything in moderation right?? :D

You're doing so well, and your wedding is so close now! I'm so excited for you, you're going to be an amazing bride!!!!

Oh I wanted to mention something funny that happened during spinning class - the instructor says in the middle of the class "has anyone ever told you that you look like the famous figure skater jamie sale?" I have had others mention that but I didn't know who she was so I googled her and she is HOT!! I was embarrased because everyone was staring at me but now that I know what she looks like I don't mind people saying I look like her!! Here's a comparison pic - I really don't see it!
First pic - Jamie Sale, second pic - me now, third pic - old me

Wow, that is completely crazy.

So true! If only me and moderation got along better! One weekend at a time to get there!!

Wow, that is completely crazy.
Crazy because you think I do look like her or you think I'm crazy, lol! Thanks for stopping by!

Ok so I'm almost through the workday and I can't wait to get to the gym and run. I had my activia yogurt w all bran buds and black berries & strawberries and a veggie salad for lunch and then I had a craving for a cheeseburger. Instead of going to McDee's and caving I put 25 cents in the candy machine and got 8 reece chocolates - it cured my craving and was less cals but I'm still struggling. I know getting to the gym will help with my cravings today. I've also had over 60 oz of water and 4 big cups of mint green tea! Mondays are the hardest after a not so great weekend but I'm determined to finish the day strong! I do however think my hunnie is making spaghetti for dinner so I'll have to watch my portion and make sure he uses SMART noodles. 1 hr left in the day and I just want it to be over already!

Yeah... there's an uncanny resemblance. You look great.

Grats on fighting the urge of the dreaded cheese burger.

Your pic looks great! You guys are a super cute couple :)

Yay for the new tv, too. My best friends wedding last year, the best man gave them a big ole flatscreen also, so then I felt like an asshole cuz I bought them NOTHING near as nice, lol. Congrats on the 2lb loss! Amazing!

Thanks so much!

Thank you Jess! I'm not sure anyone has ever told us that before!

Ok so yesterday was a pretty good day - for a Monday. Only two not so healthy snacks but I was working on my cravings and getting things under control for the rest of the week! Here's how it looked:
B - activia yogurt (realized the new stuff I bought isn't fat free but it still has fiber in it), 1/3 cup all bran buds, 1/2 cup fresh blackberries & 1/2 cup fresh strawberries
Snack - 2 cups mint green tea
L - veggie salad - field greens, green onion, cherry tomato & cucumber w ff tomato, oregano dressing.
Snack - 2 cups mint green tea, 8 -10 reece chocolates
Exercise - 58 min treadmill - 5.5 miles (8.8 km), mostly 1 incline & 6 mph with a warm up & cool down - stretch after each.
D - 1 1/2 cups Smart spaghettini w 4 home made turkey meatballs & tomato sauce w onions - yumm this was so good - I love pasta night. hunnie had it ready for me when I got home from the gym.
Exercise - sit-ups 10 sets of 15 reps and some leg extensions
Snack - 3/4 cups reece puffs dry cereal before bed (I need to get some more cherries!!), 2 bites hunnie's roast he pulled out of the slow cooker.
I was pretty hungry during the day and realized I should have brought some protein for my salad but we were out of tuna. Last night I made three big salads with a lot more to them for lunches and chopped up strawberries and washed the rest of the fruit so I'm all ready for the rest of the week!
I got my hunnie to wake me up this morning so I could go to that spinning class at 6am but even once I was out of bed I just couldn't get the energy up to go and do it so as soon as hunnie left for work I went back to bed for an hour - so bad!! To make up for it I hope to go on my lunch break and then I'm golfing after work. If I don't get to go at lunch I might do a dvd at home tonight or the treadmill. Either way I am determined to get down to 145 by Friday!!

Yesterday looks good! Nice treadmill workout. I like that you add a little incline to it! And I like that you got some floor exercises in after dinner! Good for you. But damn reces that puffs cereal! I cannot have that in my house or I would eat the whole box in one sitting! It looks like you're on the right track this week and I'm sure you can get to 145 by this weekend. Have a great day, and remember.. wedding is getting closer and closer! It's crunch time! Work it!

PS - How do you make your homemade turkey meatballs? Sounds like something I'd like to try. My best friend (and roommate again this year) is a huge pasta person... maybe I could share some healthy tips with her and then share her food too :) lol

Damn that cereal - my hunnie picked up the biggest box you can buy because it was on sale and now I have to stare at it everytime I go in the fridge because the top of the fridge is the only place it fits because it's too damn big for the cupboards!!! After the 3/4 cup I wanted to go back for more but I resisted and kept reading my twilight book to distract me.
We use extra lean ground turkey and add 1 egg and some crushed flaked cereal (can't think of the name of it right now) but you could also use whole wheat fine bread crumbs & sometimes we add some chopped thin pickles or onions and mash it all together and then you make balls - you lightly cook the balls by themselves in a pan on the stove with some cooking spray and once they are cooked enough where they aren't going to fall apart you can add them to the sauce and let them continue cooking. We have also made them with extra lean chicken. This is also how we make the burgers too - just bigger balls!! They are so yum and much more healthy than using ground beef or pork. You can tell when you are cooking them because they don't shrink up much and nothing comes out of them.

Just got back from a workout at the gym and feeling great today!! I feel like some of the squishyness I gained back is starting to budge again and my strongness is making a come back! Here's how the workout looked:
3 min warmup on treadmill - 0.2 miles
stretch
10 min treadmill (1 mile at 6.1 mph and 2 incline)
15 min arm workout - 4 different machines - 3 sets of 15 reps and some free weights.
10 min treadmill (1 mile at 6.1 mph and 2 incline)
cool down and stretch
They finally got the studio all finished at the gym so they will be offering Kettle Bell again and since it's raining and golf is going to be cancelled I think tonight is the night I get back into it! They have a class at 6:30pm so that is going to be my goal for the night - make it to that class! Ohhh I'm going to be sore tomorrow!

Woohooo!!! Way to go on that GYM workout!!! I'm sure you will be in the 145's by FRIDAY!!! :cheers2:!!! I love turkey balls!! Yum!!! Sounds amazing! I'm hungry as we speak! :drool5:! hahah! ;)! Way to make your salads the night before!!!

Do you not add tomato until you eat it?! How do they not get soggy for you?! :)

Lisa, I am SO EXCITED to see you in your wedding dress!!! Have you got all the details all squared out already?! How are you getting to the church or chapel on the BIG DAY?! I saw you girls did it BIG in a PARTY BUS for your ladies night! Anything big planned for arriving there with your HOTNESS!?! ;)!!

...so curiosity,....how does the hubby now take to your FANTASTIC body?! Is he proud of you for working SO HARD!?! :D! (I am!)

Hey Alta thanks for stopping by! I use the cherry tomatos and don't cut them up so they don't get soggy. I like the way they burst in my mouth, lol!
I think we have most the details covered. We are getting married at my parents house which is on a lake so hopefully it doesn't rain otherwise it will be inside. We are only having immediate family and wedding party there so it will be a nice private ceremony - neither of us are really religious so we decided to skip the church part and make it a quick ceremony. Following the ceremony will be some drinks and food and the photographer will take some pictures by the lake. Once we are done there we have a big party bus picking us up and taking us to a couple other places we want pics taken - we get to continue drinking on the bus too! The bus will drop us off at the reception hall and that's when 145 guests will arrive and the party begins!! We have a big dinner planned, some speeches and lots of dancing! Open bar - so it's going to cost us a fair bit but I know it will be worth it! Instead of a cake cutting we are going to feed eachother butter tarts!
I'm so excited can you tell!!!
Hunnie is for sure loving my new bod and my new confidence in bed!! I'm finally horney again - it took so long but I feel like my mind is in a better spot - I think I just needed some time for it to catch up with everything else!!
Thanks for being proud - your one of my biggest inspirations so you deserve a huge thank you!!!

:beating: Awwwwww!!!! That sounds SO PRECIOUS!!! I love the idea of being on the lake, and I'm not a big fan of getting married in a church either! I truly believe in God but I love the naturistic standpoint of it all being arranged outside the church or chapel. I'm sure it's going to be beautiful!! I'll pray for SUNNY skies that day so you guys can get some GREAT shots reflecting the gorgeous lake!!!

...and I LOVE that your BowWwWchhhiIiiiiChhhaBoWOW came back! ;) :reddevil: hahah... I'm sure the hubby is too!!!...:D!!! It does take time to adjust to one's body and to really feel confident in one's skin! I'm really starting to make it a daily task of admiring myself and telling myself the beautiful things I see about even my problem areas. :) It's helping and I'm feeling SEXIER in my own skin!!

As for the PARTY BUS :jump: ahhhhhhhh....OMG, it's going to be SUPER FUN!!! :D! Open bar is MY TYPE OF PARTY!! hahah! ...but we already knew this! ;)! hahah....Your guests are going to be SO HAPPY!! The wedding I'm going to this weekend is only open bar for ONE HOUR!!! :( Yuck! BUTTTT that just means DRINK FASTER !! hahahahaha :D! hahah!!! ...the funny part is that one of my friends going has her son in the wedding as the ring boy, and told me.... "Bitch! The way I drink, I'm smuggling a BOTTLE in my purse! I recommend you do the same, unless your fish drinking ass is going BALLER status!" hahahah ! ...I laughed and said...."Hmm...interesting thought!" **shaking my head in laughter at what some people do and suggest!** (not that I wouldn't put it past myself either though!) hahah !! ...the ghetto in people huh?! hahaha...

BUT...man, it's going to be FUNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!! SO do you have a cute little thing to wrap on your leg underneath the dress so the hubby can take off in a chair in front of everyone...with his TEETH!!! hahaha!!! I want to see THAT picture!! FOR SURE!!

And THANK YOU, Lisa for the compliment! How amazing is it that we can all INSPIRE each other right?!?! I would call us ....some "LUCKY BIATCHES!" hahah!!

I totally agree Alta!! you crack me up! Needed that smile this morning!

So yesterday I acheived my goal and went to Kettle Bell but then I came home and sabatogged my efforts with mindless snacking all night! I'm sure I ate as many calories as I burned at least so I guess I'm just happy I didn't go over maintenance. My neck and shoulders are so sore today - I can barely check my blind spot when driving. Here is the workout we did in Kettle Bell:
10 min warm-up and stretch - we would skip with a jump rope for 2 min and then do 2 min of stretches and repeat. By this point I was already sweating. Then came the workout:
50 seconds kettle bell swings, 10 sec rest. 50 sec walking out push-ups, 10 sec rest. 50 sec jump rope, 10 sec rest and repeat 3 times till we got a 2 min rest. Then he switched up the kettle bell workout and body weight workout and we repeated the whole thing 4 times!!! There was always 50 sec skipping at the end. By the end of the hour I was dreanched in sweat. I went and had a sauna and followed up with a long shower. I did a good stretch on my bottom half but totally forgot to stretch my back, arms and shoulders so that's why I am so sore today! Added the workout I did at lunch I probably burned 1000 calories. I don't even want to write down all the bad snacks I had but here it goes:
B - activia yogurt, 1/2 cup fresh black berries, 1/2 cup fresh strawberries & 1/3 cup all bran buds
Snack - 1 cup mint green tea
Exercise - 2.2 miles treadmill, 15 min arm workout, stretch
L - big veggie salad - field greens, green onion, red pepper, cherry tomato, cucumber, black olives, bean sprouts w ff dressing
Snack - 1 cup mint green tea
Dinner #1 - 2 handfuls hunnie's left over plain kettle cooked chips, a few pieces of hunnie's pork roast in bbq sauce, WW choc protein shake with skim milk, 1 frozen banana and strawberries
Exercise - 1 hr kettle bell class
Dinner #2 - left over Smart spaghettini w 2 turkey meatballs
Snacks - 3 crackers w jam, 2 granola bars covered in chocolate, 1 bag of popcorn w white balsamic vinegar & hot sauce sprinkled, 2 3/4 cups of Reece puffs - one with skim milk. Ouch - that gives me a stomach ache just reading all that food!!
I woke up pretty gross feeling and mad at myself. Oh well today is a new day and I will try harder. I think my problem was not having a planned dinner - the snacks I kept having just weren't satisfying my cravings for a meal. water, water, water today and spinning planned for lunch.

Hey Lisa - That workout is making me tired just reading it LOL. So good job on that! Too bad I have no idea where a Kettle Bell class is around me, because you make me want to give it a go!

As for the food - don't worry too much about one day! I know a few days ago, I had a day where I could NOT stop being hungry. Like, ALL DAY hungry. It seemed like every hour I found myself in the kitched again, poking around for something that would finally curb the hunger! I'll concede I felt guilty about it the next day, but I also realized it was just a tiny slip overall.

Anyways, what I did was focus on making "today" as perfect as you can!

Keep it up Lisa :)

Thanks Andy - I tried. I even avoided the Reece Puffs last night but I got into the chocolate covered granola bars again and more crackers and jam - actually a lot of crackers and jam. Here's how it looked:
B - activia yogurt, 1/3 cup all bran buds, blackberries & strawberries
Snack - 1 cup mint green tea
Exercise - 30 min spinning class - such a good 30 min workout!
L - big veggie salad (same as yesterday and today is the same also)
Snack - 1 cup mint green tea
D - veggie stirfry on the bbq - using this cool bbq wok we got for the wedding. Turkey breast on the bbq and chopped up and added to veggies - orange pepper, water chestnuts, celery, red onion, brocolli, califlower, carrots, mini corn cobs, bean sprouts w hot sauce, vegetable broth & soy sauce.
Snacks - nectarine (I started with a healthy substitute for sugar - it wasn't cutting it), 2 granola bars, 12 -15 crackers with low fat jam.
Feel asleep on the couch or else I probably would have found more to snack on. hunnie was at hockey and I should have gone with him to avoid the cupboards! I don't have any willpower again and it's frustrating. I woke up and told hunnie he HAS to hide his lunch snacks - I don't know how many times I have to tell him.
This morning I had to fight with myself not to go and get a bagel and cappuchino on the way to work. I kept thinking about my weigh in tomorrow and how there is no chance I'll be 145. I'm supposed to go to baseball tonight but it's hunnie's last night at home before he goes to Montreal for his bachelor party so we are going to have a nice dinner and watch a movie and do some snuggling. I was thinking of giving him a lap dance too so in case his friends bring him to a strip club and order him a dance his last thoughts in his head will be of me and maybe it won't be as appealing watching someone else. Gross I don't want to think about someone else's ass in his face. Oh I hope his friends behave. Not in the best moods today as you can probably tell. Can't wait for Friday!!

Yea girl, SHIT!!! Of course you wouldn't be in the best of moods thinking of random biatches ;) asses all up in your soon to be husband's face! You are GRANTED to be a little bitchy!!! hahaha :D!!!

I would definitely give him the Lap dance of his LIFE like you said :reddevil:!!! The last thought of you will definitely be HOT!! His friends most likely will NOT BEHAVE ..haha...but we know this ;)!! We also know he LOVES you and is getting ready to TAP your booty for the rest of his life :beating:! So yes, give him a taste of that HOT STILL SINGLE WILD WOMAN IN YOU!!! BooooWOoWOWChiiiCCABooooWOoW!! At the VERY VERY least, he won't be horny cause you whipped it out on him and he might think...WOA my girl is JUST AS GOOD and looks EVEN HOTTER!! :drool5:!!

Spank, Pinch, and BITE away girlfriend!!:reddevil:!! Did you say BITE my edible LICORICE UNDERWEAR!?!?! Ahh Ahhh AH! Watch Yourself **SPANK SPANK***
:smilielol5:!! LOL!!!

What about YOU though Lisa, did your girls get you a STRIPPER!? hahaha :D! Hmmm??? ;)!! To shake in YOUR FACE!! hahahaha

LOL Thanks Alta - I definitly left him tired and beat!! I surprised him when I got out of the shower - I put on some of the undies I got for my bachelorette party and found a whip I used once for a Halloween prop and put on some sexy music and gave him a little show!! The show didn't last the whole song because he picked me up and threw me on the bed, lol!! He told me later it was hotter than any dance in a club - it made me feel better but I'm still nervous. We had a great night and got into some wine so I didn't bother weighing myself this morning.
I've had some really great workouts this week and last night after work I really wanted to talk myself out of going to the gym but I decided to just go and do a little bit. I ended up running 5km on the treadmill and doing a 25 min arm workout. I was really proud of myself for running because my legs were so sore yesterday from kettle bell - it hurt to walk.
This morning I had to drive hunnie to the airport at 6am so I went to the gym and I really wasn't feeling it so I only did 15 min treadmill, 5 min rowing and some weights. I stopped and got a bagel on my way to work but skipped the cappuchino and think I burned enough cals this morning to cover the bagel. I'm just not in a great mood - missing a lot of my friends on here and still not feeling like I've lost a pound even though I worked out the past 6 days - good workouts too. I'm just frustrated and wanting to go home and lie in bed all day and read my book.
I don't really have many plans this weekend - everything is up in the air depending how I feel or what I feel like doing.
