Here comes the bride...1 MONTH TO GO!!!

Yay for another perfect day!!! Go girl GO!!!! My day was perfect-ish- got snacky just before going to the gym so only had a 530cal deficit today... but hey better than nothing!!!
We're going to smash our next weigh in! :D
 
I brought oranges today! Fresh fruit is awesome and gets rid of sweetie cravings :) Nice one of ze cherries! Hope your hunnie starts cooking better soon..I've told mine that dinner has to be VERY healthy but he's sulking about it ;)

hahaha yah my hunnie wishes he could cook with loads of butter or make pasta every night - he does like the healthy stuff too but I have to push for it. I'm loving fruit right now - we don't have it in season very long here.

Thanks Alta - I went back and read your post in my old journal and it was very sweat! I did fall off hard but just like always I am back! Need to get out of these gaining/losing patterns though! My body doesn't appreicate it much.

Ok so yesterday was a perfect-ish day. I didn't drink nearly as much water and I got a little snacky just before bed again. Here's how it looked:
8am - nectarine
10am - ff yogurt, 1/3 cup all bran buds w 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
12:45 - big veggie salad - cucumber, cherry tomato, black olives, green onion w ff dressing
Exercise - forced myself to the gym again - 25 min eliptical (300 cal, 2.6 miles), 10 min mile on the treadmill, 4 arm machines, stretch.
5:45 - 8 cherries waiting for hunnie to finish dinner
6:15 - home made chicken burger w - lean ground chicken, a little bit of cereal crushed up, sweet pickles, green onions, hot spice & rosemary cooked on the bbq- yumm!!! I had one pattie on a bun w ketchup, mustard, relish & tomato and one pattie plain.
8pm - two hours of baseball - it was the longest game ever - score was 12 to 20 not in our favour. I made a lot of mistakes and was getting really frustrated with myself - I realized on the way home I'm too hard on myself but I'm just so competitive and so is my coach and teammates so maybe this sport just isn't for me. They put me on first base for two innings and I was shaking I was so nervous and twice when they were throwing me the ball I caught it with the wrong hand - ouch!!! My hand has a big bruise and it's so sore even to type. It just wasn't our night again. I only had one good hit.
10pm - 12 cherries, ff activia yogurt, 1 thin slice genoa, s.f. jello cup
So no bad snacking on junk - I really wanted a chocolate covered granola bar and I said no and I really tried talking myself out of the gym so I was proud of my accomplishments at the end of the day.
This weekend my hunnie is going on one of his bachelor parties so I have the weekend to myself. Tonight I have plans to take a girlfriend out for dinner for her bday. I'm eating really healthy today and hopefully getting to the gym on my lunch break so I can indulge in a nice dinner. No snacks before bed and no booze - ok maybe one small glass of wine with dinner but I have to drive. Saturday I plan to go back to Kettle bell!! It's been too long and I feel ready. After that I'm going out to a friends camp for the night and I'm packing my own cooler with premade salads and fruit. Sunday I imagine I will pack up early and come home to relax. I imagine I'm going to be pretty sore from kettle bell so I'm going to take the day off Sunday. Monday I'll be ready to smash another perfect week!! Holy Moly this week went by quick! 29 more perfect days to go!!! Enjoy the weekend everyone!
 
Wow Lisa your journal is very inspiring :) While I am on holiday I am gonna try to do at least 1/2 of the work out you do...I am hoping to bring the kids on a walk at least once a day early in the am after breakfast! Keep it up, you are doing so great! How did the weight in go?

Oh I totally forgot to mention I was down to 149 - still disappointing because I really hoped 5 pounds of the weight I gained was water weight but in a way it's good because it's just going to make me try harder this weekend (harder than most weekends when it comes to eating and drinking!) - I really want to reach my goal of 140 before the wedding! Glad to hear you will still be updating while on holidays! Time to change my ticker too I guess.

When I did come online I read your journal first and it gave me the kind of boost I really needed. It is so easy to get discouraged but this site is great for accountability and journals, such as yours, are total inspiration. Thank you.

149 is fantastic!!! You'll get back to 140 in no time!! Good luck this weekend.

I haven't been in forever, but I would love to as soon as it cools down a bit! Maybe you can get some nice hiking in while you're up there!

Gosh Lisa you're doing so good this week! I'm jealous of how strong you've been with being able to stick to healthy eating! Sorry to hear that your baseball game didn't go too well. I had to laugh that you caught the ball with the wrong hand twice though, lol ya goof!! Sounds like you have a nice weekend ahead of you. Stick to it and hang in there- the wedding will be here so soon!

PS - have you done any measurements lately? I did mine last night around my waist and stomach and was a little upset to see the numbers have gone up :( I am by no means unhappy with how I look right now but it is a little disappointing to know that I was smaller a few months ago... I hope the jeans I was wearing over winter will still fit. If they are snug that will be all the motivation I need to get my ass in gear!

Thanks Juni! So glad I could give you a boost this morning! You have done that to me before too!! That is exactly why I love this site - I can always find someone to motivate me and lift my spirits! Next week will be better!

Thanks Andy - even if I don't get to hike I should get to swim because it's supposed to still be really warm out! Exact date is Saturday August 7th!!! I love camping and where I live it only takes 20 minutes to find a nice lake to camp by - I love Northern Ontario for that reason! Bugs are awful though!

Thanks Sarah - I do feel like I did a good job this week and I'm looking forward to keeping it going! I haven't taken any measurements in forever but I know I've gone up some because all my new clothes are tight and they used to be comfortable - it should only take another perfect to change that though! I'm ready for the challenge!

Hey guys - I didn't make it to the gym at lunch because work has been crazy! I won't get a chance to log in Monday till later in the afternoon because we are holding an event here and I'm in charge so I'm going to be too busy. i just wanted to post to say that no matter what weight you are on your wedding day, you will be a beautiful bride and you will likely receive more compliments then ever before :) it is a wonderful day :)

also don't forget to drink/eat ....i couldn't eat because i was so excited/nervous about things and then halfway through pictures i almost fainted (we were doing pictures outside in the sun)...luckily my maid of honor had granola bars with her...but anyway, i know it will be hard to eat but do try to eat something :) (i barely even ate any of my delicious reception food, was having too much fun visiting!)
 
Congrats on the loss Lisa- hey, a loss is a loss! And you've got just over 4 weeks to lose 9lbs, it's definitely possible!
 
Holy crap, under a month to go... crazy! Like Luda said- you can get that 9lbs. You've come this far, and you're this close, DON'T GIVE UP!

Thanks guys, it feels like it's been a while again. I hate it when I'm away from here because I never come back with good news. I haven't exercised since Thursday!
Friday - was super busy at work so couldn't go to the gym on my lunch, went home after work to say bye to my hunnie because we was going away on one of his bachelor parties and went out for dinner with some girl friends. Got home from dinner and noticed our bbq was missing so I txt my hunnie to find out if he took it and since he was on his bachelor party his friends had his phone and started txting me really annoying silly messages and wouldn't answer my question if they took the bbq so I thought maybe it was stolen. Ended up getting really pissed off and when I tried to call him his phone was shut off. Didn't sleep hardly at all so didn't make it to Kettle Bell Saturday morning.
Saturday - lied in bed till noon and then went to my friends camp. It wasn't really nice out so we stayed inside playing with her baby. It was an early night and the only exercise I got was holding and carrying the baby - ate chips, chicken burger and a magnum of wine.
Sunday - woke up covered in mosquito bites and sore from the sleep. Drove home to find my hunnie (he was apologizing over and over for Friday night and it turns out they did take the bbq so it wasn't stolen after all). Lied around with him most of the afternoon and then went shopping for some groceries. It was an early night again but no exercise and crap food.
Monday - work event was insane and I had no help so I was moving around a lot. After work it was my hunnie's mom's bday so we had a bbq at our house - sausages, home made turkey burgers, ceasar salad and chocolate cake! Oh and chocolate covered strawberries. All day at the work event I only had time to eat what food was provided so I had 3 muffins - no where near healthy and then the bbq and cake so yesterday was another write off.
Today I am tired and lazy and just want to go home and read more of my book - the last twilight book - it is soo good and I'm at a really good part.
I have baseball tonight and I missed the practice Sunday so I'm a little nervous for the game. I'd also like to get out for a 5km run tonight. I really enjoyed getting back to running last week and now I feel like I'm starting from scratch again.
So all and all not so positive today and needing so motivation from my forum friends - time to read some journals!!
 
Aw, don't worry yourself. We all have these short comings, and the good thing about them is that they are short. You have been awesome at losing the weight, so I am sure that once you decide to really kick the slump, you'll really be in high gear, and back to normal in no time.
 
Oh..no worries!!! :D!! You'll get back on track and find the balance soon!! Sorry about the BBQ deal. I think you might have just got a little more upset that night just because they were messing with his phone and it was a BACHELORE party. hahah...;)

Glad you are over it and he apologized for his friends. :) I wouldn't have slept much that night either! LOL!!
 
Hey Lisa... ugh, what a weekend. It's been really tough lately. I just want summer to end because it's so hard to stay focused with so much going on! I am going to run on the treadmill tonight so I hope you get your run in too. Hope to hear some good news tomorrow, take care!
