Hangs head in shame....back again***Diary of Kaplooie***

The thing that sucks about that LaMa is that HE won't be with her for two days straight, I will...He has projects to do and will get to get away from her. I on the other hand will be with her all day errrrryday. Her flight gets here in an hour.

So far, 30-days on plan is off to a good start, lol! Hard to screw up when I've been sleeping for the whole thing so far, haha! I got up around 630 and I'm drinking a latte with 2% milk, three shots of espresso, sugar free vanilla syrup and pumpkin spice added to the steamed milk and to the espresso grounds before I pulled shots. I'm in the holiday spirit! The last time the boss was here she bought everybody lunch and dinner the whole time she was here, at restaurants. So I'll have to chose my meals wisely and estimate calories as I go. It should not be that hard. Every restaurant here has at least one or two healthy choices. And the boss is a relatively healthy eater. But she is a huge drinker...last time she was ordering long island ice teas! And she is about 100 lbs so I don't know how she manages it!

Hopefully she wants to take a long nap this afternoon and not work. HOPEFULLY!!! LMAO!!!

Had a great day today despite having to work this morning. Boss gave me the cut at around 1pm so I could run home and watch the Seahawks game and write. That was after she took me to a sunday brunch seafood buffet where I COMPLETELY behaved myself. Drank a lot of coffee today though, lol!!! I might not get much sleep tonight. I even managed to hit my word count goal for day one of NaNoWriMo, which was 3500 words (it takes 1667 a day for 30 days to reach 50,000).

B: 8 oz of 2%milk, 3 shots of espresso, SF vanilla syrup and a few dashes of pumpkin spice
L/Brunch: 3 crab legs, 6 peel and eat shrimp, mini bagle with lox and red onions, carrots with hummus, 3 cups of coffee
D: sauteed chicken w/ fajita style spices, quinoa with bell peppers, red onion, garlic.
S: 1 oz of cheddar cheese, glass of red wine
water: roughly 80 oz so far, still have 20 more to go before bed.
Squats: 25 so far, need to do some more before bed for the squat challenge but I can already feel it.
Steps: So far I have 6621, still need to take the dog for her evening constitutional at the pond, that should be a few thousand. Did a lot of butt sitting in front of the computer this afternoon writing. Might even have to walk in place for a while before I go to bed to make the goal. Do squats count? Lol!

I'm going to have a fairly active day tomorrow. Also going to try and get the boss to some of the local sights. She's been out here several times and she's always only here for a day. This time she has more time, she doesn't leave until Tuesday afternoon. So I scheduled a church tour for her at our local historic Russian Orthodox church. And hopefully I can take her around to the museum and few other scenic things.

Sorry didn't update yesterday, it was a long day and when I got home at 9pm I just flopped onto my bed and died.
I managed to do 22 squats yesterday.
I had an on plan day, despite people trying to force me to eat pizza's and burgers.
I did not get enough water in.
I had 13452 steps.

B: Latte (the usual, see previous posts)
L: cup of black bean soup, side salad with oil and vinegar dressing
D: Large Cobb salad, only ate half, brought the rest home for leftovers, LF Bleu Cheese dressing on the side.

Today so far has been a bit worse then yesterday because I ate breakfast which I don't usually do
B: latte, two mini bagles, lox, cream cheese, capers, red onion, tomato
L: skipped
D: TBD, will post more later. I'm on a quick break right now but need to go back to work.

Bless your heart! I have to deal with that as well!

"Go get Taco Bell/Taco Bueno.... Go get Whataburger.....Let's go out to eat here...." :smash:

*Grumble/Roar!*

lol

Hang in there! I think you're doin' mighty fine!

Stacy, did you really come in my diary and utter the words Taco Bell? Hahaha! :smilielol5:

I've got a bad case of the busies. Finally got the boss out of here and BAM, hit with a storm that was packing 70MPH winds. Took a lot of time to batten down all the hatches since we have so many properties at work. Then home too. And now we are doing damage control and waiting to get hit from the other side tonight. Today I'm getting ppwk and stuff out of the way too. Got behind with the boss here bossin' me around.

But, I've stayed on plan! And even managed to get back onto a very low carb diet in the process. Its not cheaper by any means, and the kiddo is complaining so I bought him a bag of hamburger buns and said "If you want carbs, make everything into a sammy." that plus all the candy he's eating should suffice.

Yesterdays numbers:
44 squats (need to update the post in the challenge thread)
12,022 steps
102 oz of water
B: latte
L: hamburger patty with mustard, pickles and mayo and cheese
D: hamburger patty salad, lol, basically a cheeseburger made into a salad
Booze: NONE!!

Today so far:
32 oz of water
B: latte
L: sliced ham and mozarella wrapped in lettuce with mustard
D: planned: steak, sauteed mushroom and onion, brussels sprouts
Booze, planned: a vodka gimlet (going out for a cocktail with a friend after work to catch up, we only have an hour to do this between work and kid obligations).

I'll update the rest but so far so good. I need to get to the gym but I do have a problem that I'm dealing with of a personal nature that is keeping me from working out. I won't detail it but its painful.

Yay for staying on plan! Is kid old enough to start basic cooking yet? Hope you gym-preventing trouble clears up soon, especially the pain part.

I don't like you going through a painful time! That is just wrong! Hope you either sort it sweetie or deal with it & move on. Lots of love, xoC

Yesterday updated:
100 oz of water, the last few ounces was like drinking poison. I did not want to but I chugged it!
B: latte
L: sliced ham and mozarella wrapped in lettuce with mustard
D: Ribeye steak 6 oz, onions and mushrooms sauteed in coconut oil and wine, brussels sprouts with butter
Booze: Pickletini, I had ordered a vodka gimlet to start with but the bartender, a good friend, suggested the pickletini and I loved it! Basically a dirty martini made with pickle juice instead of olive juice. Served with a dill spear. Made me so freaking happy, lol!
NO SQUATS, I feel bad, going to have to drop that challenge but the issue I'm dealing with is preventing this.

Today so far:
B: 12 oz double shot breve with sf hazelnut
L: Leftover ribeye ~4oz, green beans
D: TBD, its friday night, will decided when I know if the kiddo will be home or not. If he's home I'll cook, if not I'll graze on cheese and veggies.

My fitbit battery is dead, again, lol! I am the worst at charging it. I have another paperwork heavy day today, and a lot of planning that is going to go into next weeks work schedule. Got to get a lot of stuff taken care of on my to do list. And I'm going to go to the gym tonight come hell or high water (most likely high water around here), I can't keep using being in pain as an excuse. Basically, I have an old wound that never heals and festers (it was not treated properly at the hospital when it happened and ended up infected with MRSA), I will have my mom properly bandage it so that I can work out, I've worked through this before and I can do it again. Getting my heart rate up and my blood flowing can only do good things here.
Hope everyone has a good day!!

O wow, that´s no bagatelle, take care of yourself and don´t get blood poisoning please, old wound or not.

Ouch. I assumed it was emotional pain :blush5: but that was maybe because my brain has been somewhat scattered the last couple of weeks. I admire your determination KP. If ever I had to go to battle I would like you on my side xoxo Cate

Hey Kaplooie! Can you set a reminder on your phone to charge the FitBit? That's what I do, I have a weekly alarm otherwise I'd never remember.

Good idea Oaks! I am going to do that right now since I just got it to a full charge and it tends to last 7 days if I don't use it as an alarm clock every morning.

Lol Cate, emotional pain...Yes, its very emotionally painful for me also as I have an ugly scar and its in a spot where I'll never be caught dead in a bathing suit, or daisy dukes again (not that I EVER was one to wear DD to begin with but now that the option is off the table I morn the loss). :rotflmao:

The kiddo did decide to ditch me tonight and spend the night at a friends house. So I'm going over to a friends house for a few hours for some wine. I have two glasses left in my booze bank for the week and I fully intend on using them both tonight. Then I will come home and thaw out and bake some salmon for myself for dinner. We froze a bunch in individual portion size packets for me this summer so that I can portion control easier and it was probably the smartest thing I did for myself all year.

I also MADE IT TO THE GYM! I used the new flex strider and the calorie burned seemed off for the amount of effort I put in. For 25 minutes it said I burned 122 calories but I was sweating bullets and winded and my heart rate was up in the 160's the entire time. This is where the dang fitbit would have come in handy today!!! I'll go back tomorrow and do it again because it was agonizing and I'm a glutton for punishment.

Allllsoooo. Swear this is my last post today! Just got my dress in the mail for the Fireman's Ball. Very big party around Christmas time. It's now on a hanger in full view of everywhere in my house because, Now I have SERIOUS GOALS. Pics will follow tomorrow. Before pics. So I have something to compare with "night of" pics in December.
