Hajni's Diary: I will do it because I can

Hajni - You're beautiful! Where did you find that costume? Oh and your arms look great too!

You won't believe this. MIL has all kinds of costumes stashed in her attick. I was debating between this and a clown outfit but after she told me she wore this (62 years old!!) last year, I just knew I can pull it off!! Oh, I was supposed to show a belly button, well I thought to hold off on that for a little while...:rotflmao:
And I never wear make-up, so excuse me my hurried efforts to put something on my face. Which by the way DID not come off as of yet... Co-workers are having all sorts of fun today.... LOL
If I had to go to a Halloween party, I would not be wearing this outfit. I am generally a very shy person...

And I am going to be mysterious like Tammy in her diary, but I saw a VERY NICE number on my scale today... Even if it stays I will be happy, but I think it will be lower by tomorrow.

Cool about the new number! Can't wait to find out.

I don't wear as much makeup in my Cowgirl pose either. That would be way too much - I like more of the au naturale look. ;)

Friday

I like the au naturale look too. Mostly because I never learned how to apply make-up the correct way... and now i don't care much about it.... LOL. I always told guys: what you see is what you get KWIM?
So I am not going to bore anybody with my day and my 500 conversations between two dr.'s offices. The result: I am not any closer to the right diagnosis as I was a week ago. Being a guinie pig and trying a different medicine now.
The day otherwise was good. Kept on track with eating all the way till dinner time then some hunger hit... and I started on nibbling on this and that.. probably a good 200 cal. worth. I am still under my calories and ok but boy I hope it does not happen often..

Breakfast: 2 ww bread (80), 2 slices swiss cheese (120), 1 tomato (10), ½ c. cottage cheese (70) 1 coffee (50) = 330
Snack: 1 rice cake (50) , 1 ff vanilla yogurt(60) = 110
Lunch: Tacos made from TVP : ½ c. dry TVP (160), taco seasoning, 1 tomato (10), lettuce (10), ¼ ff cheese (45) 1 pita bread (60), 1 banana (105) =390
Snack: 1 homemade oatmeal cookie (82), 4 tbs ff whip topping (30) =112
Dinner: 1 joseph’s lavish bread (100), 5.6 oz. baked tofu (80), 2 c. steamed asparagus (60) , seasoning, 2 tbs ff nayonaise (20) = 260
Dessert: WW strawberry shortcake (170) = 170

Total calories for the day : 1372+ nibbles (200 cal ) = 1572
Exercise.:. morning : 35 min walk on treadmill, 200 cal burn, evening: 20 min turbo jam, 35 min running (500 cal burn) = 700 cal total

Well you're beautiful no matter what. :)

What kind of diagnosis are you looking for - I'm thinking I missed something. It happens...LOL

I Reached My Goal Weight

I REACHED MY GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I weighed in at 145.2 this morning, still can't belive it!! The number I saw yesterday was 146.2 which I would have been happy with as well!!
OMG I reached my goal!! OK, I think I am going to cry..
I mean I always had this in mind and wanted to get here, but getting here and actually seeing the number on the scale was still such an unbelievable thing!!!!!!!!!!

On the other hand I adjusted my ticker to 140, hoping my clothes will fit me a tiny bit better...
I won't work this hard though, set back a little bit and relax, reducing my exercise to once a day I think.. and upping my calories a bit also...
oK, i have to make breakfast for the family, be back later.

BAsed on my BMI I am "normal weight" now no longer "overweight" LOL

SO HAPPY FOR YOU! Congratulations on your loss, your perserverence and success! You have been, and continue to be an inspiration for all!

Thanks Yarmiah, Tammy and Rimay!!!

So I decided not to worry about my calories today, and I am still "on track". Not hungry and not craving anything sweet or bad for me.
I already cooked some things for the family but have no desire to eat them... LOL
Today is rest day for exercises but I am back tomorrow. Now that I don't "have to" exercise I am sooo looking forward to it. Go figure.
Gotta run....

Thanks SweatPea!!

Back on track today for my new goal of 140. I am happy to report that I have done the turbo jam 45 min turbo party without interruption. First ever I was able to finish from start to finish without taking a break. Burnt 400 calories, and it totally kicked my butt. My legs are still jiggly and I feel good tired.
THE NEW MEDICINE IS WORKING!!! I feel like a million dollars today first in the last two weeks... LOL
Had great food today, modified a couple of meat recipes and substituted the meat, came out low calorie delicious stuff.

Gotta run again, can't wait for the Christmas challenge.
And I already looked up low calorie dessert and food substitutes for Thanksgiving since it will be in the middle of the challenge and I don't want to fall off track (not too much anyway...:))

Ok, so yesterday morning I was 146.2, this morning I am 147. I am not worried about it but just shows you how fluctuations can occur. I didn't really watch it on Sat but I know I was still in line with calories and yesterday I was back on track, consuming like 1400 cal and exercised my booty off so there is no way I gained 2 lbs in two days. Also I think TOM will be right around the corner.
So after reaching my goal on Sat. I was ecstatic, and asked DH what he thought. His answer: "you are doing great... now if you could just loose more of the belly area..." Hmm. He is absolutely right, my stomach still looks like I am about 5 mo pregnant (when I am not sucking in.. LOL).. but he does not know that it is the last area I would lose it from... I already know I won't have a flat stomach, since I would have to be a lot (A LOT) less in lbs to do that... Will see what difference the next 5 lbs loss will bring and go from there.
Sometimes I wish DH would not be so skinny, so he would understand more of this ...

I see there is a requirement of setting the goal for the Christmas Challenge to 3% weight loss minimum. I have to calculate what that would be for me. Because once I set a goal I will work my hardest to reach it for sure!!!!!

Ok, gotta run.

Geez, IMHO I think the DH could have just stuck with the compliments and left out the critical comments, but if that's his way, then whatever *shrugs* You look great to me! Do you do a lot of ab-strengthening exercises? They won't do anything about the fat on top, of course, but they can help flatten your stomach anyway, noticeably, if you honestly feel like you look "pregnant." OMG that reminds me of a thread in here somewhere...

 grrrr I wish men exsperiment 1/2 the shit our bodies and ourselves go through, you look great and I don't see anything needing to be lost!I am glad meds are working and you are feeling gr8!Do share any thanksgiving recipies :rotflmao: lordy knows I am going to enjoy myself that day but TRY not to over do it too too bad like maybe eat at 1 relatives house instead of 3 :rotflmao: HEY thats a start but I would like to make a healthy desert everyone will like besides pumpkin pie .Hope you have a nice day Tammy GL with new goal and c-ya at the xmas challange

MEN!!!

I just read that you got all the way thru your TJ workout. That's awesome.
It sounds really fun.

Anyway, you might or might not get a flat tummy, but look how far you've come!

I'm sure he meant well, but man oh man . . sometimes they REALLY screw up how it comes out.

I have to read up on the Christmas challenge myself!

ok, so this morning I am 147.4...
I went to the gym last night for boot-camp. We had so much fun. Found out I am an inspiration there for more then a lot of people!! It was such a good feeling. They are all asking me how I did it and how long it took and make compliments... the gym owner said she might use my example, like before and after... I am not sure it is such a great idea as it would be a mispresentation. I actually lost a lot more weight on my own exercising from home then going to the gym. What I found is a lot of ladies come to the gym to socialize and not to work out. Surely they are on the machines but only doing half-hearteadly and concentrating on talking to each other. Which is great for a social group but defeats the purpose of going to the gym. I always work as a banshee over there, sweat pouring from my face and normally I don't get involved in conversations. Don't get me wrong, I met some awesome ladies over there and we have so much fun during boot-camp but like yesterday, boot-camp was just not intense enough. There was too much talking... I usually end up burning 300 cal and I only burned 200 cal.
I am such an over-achiever, if I put the time into something I want maximum results, you know what I mean??? All and all the gym did help me start my exercise routine and I got some great advises from the trainer but the majority of my "work" was done home on my own time.
I am not complaining, just stating the facts I guess. I need a class where everybody is focused on working out and pushing themselves to the max (it is only like 26 min)... I was like that before: just get this over with and let's go home but now my attitude is totally different. I enjoy sweating and pushing my muscles and my heart-rate to the max.. and walk away with a great accomplishment feeling.
