I TOTALLY understand your frustration. Unfortuately, I dont have a clue as to why the scale is reading a higher number. Just know that you have been eating and exercising right and this is good for your body, and therefore its either the scale, or some other uncontrollabe issue with your ToM or health issue. Don't focus too much on the scale reading dear.

Stay focused, I'm sure it will be resolved soon!

I'd blame any strange fluctuations on the meds for sure. Your body probably just needs to adjust for a while. :)

Thanks everybody, I am the first one to say don't worry about the scale to others and look at me obsessing over it. I am not upset or anything I just find it puzzling if anything..
I am done with the meds, have been for a couple of days now.
The scale does not ruin my mood or nor a "bad" weight reading takes over my day. But there were times when I really took it hard if the scale did not cooperate. And it can be the debil... and mess with motivation.
Today was ok except a big drama at work..I went to boot camp and had fun, really pushed myself tonight, great energy.

Breakfast: 1 c. ff milk (90), 1 ½ c Cereal (180), 1 tbs wheat germ (25), 1 coffee (50) = 345
Snack: 1 ww bread (40), 1 slice swiss cheese (60), 1 tbs ff nayonnaise (10) = 110
Lunch: Indian Palak Paneer (270), steamed green beans( 60), 1 tangerine (37) = 367
Snack: 1 kiwi (46), 1 ff vanilla yogurt(60) = 106
Dinner: Tofu Paprikash : 7 oz lite tofu, ½ onion, ½ green pepper, 1 clove garlic, 3 oz ff plain yogurt, vegetarian bouillon , tomato paste ( 189), 2 ww bread (80), 1 apple (100)= 369
Dessert: ½ c. cottage cheese (80), 4 tbs ff whip cream (30), = 110

Total calories for the day : 1407

Exercise.:. morning : walk/jog on treadmill (175), evening: boot-camp, 35 min elliptical (550) = 725
 
Weight today is 147.2, surely looks a lot better than yesterday's number.
Trying to figure out my goal for the Christmas challenge, would be good to lose 1.2 lbs/week, total loss of 8.4 lbs. Now I just have to wait for my starting weight tomorrow, I don't even dare to guesstimate with these weird fluctuations.
Taking DD to the doctors this morning, two of the kids in her daycare are pretty sick and now she has been running a fever for the last 3 days.
I am starting to get into the holiday mood here!! Usually I don't so early but now I am thinking about Thanksgiving but more about Christmas...
I would love to go clothes shopping just before Christmas...

Hope your lil one gets feeling better I swear every
holiday 1 of mine get sick the day of or before when my daughter was
18 months hse was hospitalized for 3 days with extremly high uncontrolable fever and couldn't eat or drink but it was new years eve when she got really bad,then last year my daughter puked at the dinner table turkey day of course so I hear ya you can tell when the holidays are near.
We have that BAD super bug going around that is worse than STAFF and now they are saying kids with exama (can't spell) can istch the skin and get it infected and so on and catch that bug grrr my lil guy has been struggling with exama since he was born he is 19 months now and winters are bad for him.
I am glad the scale is going back in the right direction I don't think your obbsessing it is just in our blood to weigh in daily (well I DO)lol to see whats going on.I hope you have a FUNTASTIC weekend and GL with the doc and lil one Tammy
 
I can't even begin to think about Christmas LOL. I have no time for anything atm. :willy_nilly:

I only shot for about a lb a week for the challenge- I'm a slow turtle.

Hey Hajni.. sorry i missed you today. I wasn't expecting my meeting at the college to take so long. I was there from 12:30pm to 3:30.. yikes. but i am now officially a college student again and its a huge relief for me to get back into school although i know its not going to be all fun and games. Its a lot of work but i'm looking forward to it again. I am hoping for a good weigh in for the morning so that i can start this challenge off on the right note. Gotta focus on the weightloss and school and dh coming home. As well as keeping things around the house running smooth as possible for alex. lol ok well just wanted to update you and hope you are doing well and that dd gets better really soon.

My first gain in 20 weeks

HI everybody thanks for stopping over.
DD seems to be fine, dr. said the keep an eye on her and if her fever does not brake by Sun. I have to bring her back for more tests (she does not have strep throat, or an ear infection). I am hoping by then she will be ok.
So sad to report my first gain in the last 20 weeks. I am 147.4 this morning, which is a whooping 2.2 lbs gain from last week. Now, I am not going to give up or anything in fact I just got the bug up in my rear end to show that scale who is boss!!!
Last night we went grocery shopping came home late and I was starving. I blew my whole menu so I am not even going to post it. I blew it big time though last night, I ate at least 5 different kinds of sweets, apple, ice cream you name it. I am not mad at myself for it either since I had no cheat day in the last few months... One day will not going to stop my weight loss for sure. I just have to make sure it stays at one day.... :hurray: I am back in the game today, concentrating on the Christmas challenge...
Have a great day and I will try to visit some diaries later on but the weekends are always so busy..

Saturday

Was very busy today, cooking like a madwoman so I would have some free time for myself tomorrow. I think I will get a hair-cut.
So last night binging almost brought me over to the "dark side"... Every snack I had today was some kind of a sweet thing and around 5 pm I was looking in a pantry for munchin stuff... then I was like get a hold of yourself!!! This is how I start.. one day is ok but then the next day and the next and all of a sudden I am going downhill as fast as possible. So instead of giving in for cravings, I went downstairs to exercise even that today was supposed to be my rest-day. I did running, turbo jam, boot-camp...82 min later i came upstairst, the cravings are gone and I am so exhausted i did not even feel like eating dinner which is bad I know. Instead I just grabbed some celery.. I am proud of myself, I broke the craving today it will not be back tomorrow i know it.
Breakfast: 2 kashi waffles (170), 2 tbs jelly (20), 4 tbs ff whip cream (30), 1 slice cherry-cheese frozen snack (61), 1 coffee (50) = 331
Snack: 1 cocoa-applesauce cake (86) 4 tbs ff whip cream (30)+ 10 grapes (16) =132
Lunch: Feta cheese- spinach bake (ff feta cheese, spinach, egg beaters, cottage cheese, = (300), 2 c. lettuce, tomato (30) = 330
Snack: 1 cherry frozen snack (61), 4 tbs ff whip cream (30) 1 slice homemade ff Cheese cake (116) =207
Dinner : 2 stalks of celery (20)
Dessert: none
Total calories for the day :1020 + 50 (multivitamin, fish oil.. etc) =1070
Exercise.:. 38 min running, 18 min turbo jam (skipped the cool down at the end), 26 min boot camp = 725 cal burn. (total of 82 min)

I hope you daughter is feeling better today.

As far as the cheat, maybe it's what your body needs to get it back on track? I'm sure you will figure it out.
 
Hey Hajni, a cheat day like you said isn't going to stop your weightloss in its tracks if anything it may jumpstart it back into gear. I know with me when i blow my menu or for any day really i have been super bad about not posting my food in my diary I just look at it as a way of knowing what is i did right and what i did wrong and what not to do again. I think most of what i have learned is from you and the others here on the forum who have supported me thus far in my journey.

I am going to be starting college soon so i know that may hamper my weightloss efforts a little but i'm not going to let it be an excuse to not eat right. I am going to be be preplanning my food in accordance with school so i can bring healthy snacks and such with me to class. As school is from 6pm-11pm monday through thursday as far as I know now but may change between now and november 19th when school starts. I got a pant suit today which was a size 24 pants which i haven't worn in over 3 years.. woohoo.. lol i'll have to take a pic of me in it so i can post it online. well talk to you this weekend hopefully if not for sure on monday. hope your little girl feels better by monday.

when the fever spikes and it's hard to keep below a 100.So was the cheesecake scrumptious or what? Geeeesh that don't look like a CHEAT to me lol did ya see my menue for Thursday lol now thats a CHEATY CHEAT!:conehead:.I am sure the scale will be heading back down again for ya,cuz your doing great with your menue and exersicing.Don't forget to SHARE those recipies,have a nice sunday Tammy:hug2:

Great way to remain focused after a "not-so-good" day. I find it strange that a bunch of us had "off" days the past day or so, including myself. I guess it's just fate- that we all have this in common and can support each other thru the "bad" times. :grouphug:

Yeah, my DD is feeling better now my DH and I are the ones sick.. I have not been sick since last September so now I am like a baby about it...
The cheesecake I made turned out to be downright HORRIBLE, I overcooked it so it is like dry on top, it is not sweat enough and the texture is like :puke: So it needs some more tweaking before it is post ready.
I made two other dishes I will post them on the recipe thread today. Acorn squash stuffed with veggie sausages and orzo pasta and feta-spinach bake. Those both came out excellent.
Oh, and my cheat day was Saturday and it was BAD so I did not even post my menu for that day. Too embarassing... LOL
Ok, I have to run now.

Maybe the cheesecake catastrophe is a sign you shouldn't be eating it? I don't know, that's what I always figure when something I try goes bad. Of course you got to have your own cheats like that once in awhile.

Your veggie dishes sound delish - did you post the recipe?

Ok, our whole household is sick now, and my babysitter called, she is sick too so whe won't be able to watch DD. Since DH and DD need me I can't really afford to be sick... so I am taking medication and even made myself stick to my exercise... Funny thing I felt like a truck ran over me then after exercise it was a lot better. My head congestion is not that bad, although I have the mother of all headaches all day long. As long as the medication working I am able to function ok. I am going to work tomorrow and MIL is watching DD, she is getting better.
Apart from that as far as weight loss goes I am doing great today. I stuck to my menu and did pretty good with exercise also.

Breakfast: Morningstar French Toast BLT (2 slices bread, lettuce, tomato, milk and egg beaters, Morningstar breakfast sausages, calorie free syrup) (300), 1 coffee (50) = 350
Snack: 1 frozen cheese cherry square (61). 1 kiwi (46)= 107
Lunch: 1 c. ff milk (90), 1 ff vanilla yogurt (60), 1 c. frozen fruit (70), 2 ww bread (80), 1 tbs p. butter (100), 2 tbs jelly (20) = 420
Snack: ½c cottage cheese (80), 4 tbs ff whip cream (30), 1 tbs wheat germ(25) = 135
Dinner: pita pizzas: 1 pita bread (60), ½ c. ff shredded cheese (90), 1/2c. tomato sauce (50), garlic powder, 1 c. steamed broccoli (25), 1 jello pudding (60) =285
Dessert: two bites of cheese cake (25), 1 frozen fruitsicle (25)=50

Total calories for the day : 1347+ 80 (vitamin supplements)=1427

Exercise.:. 35 min running (300 cal burn), 20 min turbo jam and 12 more min. running (275 cal) = 575 total
