gwal's DIARY

Just got caught up with your diary a bit. You are really committed to this by your workouts and self-management. Congratulations. I liked that article. I do SS cardio but after reading that 8 second article I"m going to be sure to try for some bursts.

Sounds like you and I were doing our cardio at about the same time last night. I feel better for it this morning, too.

Today begins some better focus on my diet. I actually have been staying well within my calorie limits, but have been trending towards less healthy choices. Because of that, I feel bloated and heavy. Well, I'm off to lift some weights.

Great idea making yourself feel lighter! :)

I should go and do something more too... OK. That's it ... thanks for the reminder. :)

Drum roll, please....I fit into the size 10 dress that I ordered! And it's not snug or anything. It needs a serious steaming, but I promise I'll take a picture of myself in it soon, and post it. Now, all I need is a real reason to wear it. And, when I find that reason, I'll need some persuasion NOT to wear the thing inside-out so that everyone can see the size on the label!

I find it truly amazing that I'm down 2 full dress sizes, and I've only lost 7 pounds.

LOL! I like this. :D

That is amazing!! It's wonderful!

It's all that dedicated exercise that's made it happen so quickly I bet! :)

I'm looking forward to the pic!

Got up early today and did HIIT x 25 minutes. Did pilates tonight. Did a bit better with the food intake today...bit more balanced, but still need to stay away from some sugars. Tomorrow is a work day, so I'll be tired for sure. When I'm battling fatigue, I always tend to slip towards a bit of sugar intake...I'll try to keep tabs on that tomorrow and Friday.

It sounds like another nice day as far as movement goes.

I totally get it about the way being tired makes sugars more appealing. It has been a massive factor in some of my own bad eating. It's helpful for me now to think that if I feel extra hungry when I'm tired, the hunger's not real, and that while the impact of the hormones can be strong it doesn't have to be controlling in the short term. It's obvious that you are strong woman and well able to fight the lies we hear when tired. :)

Well, I've decided to take a bit of a step back for this weekend. I've been so focused on these workouts that I think I'm beginning to overdo it. I'm getting very frustrated with a scale that won't budge. I went for a long walk last night as the weather here is finally beginning to break. Tonight, I'll lift. Meanwhile, I'm eating as well as I can without becoming a diet Nazi. Tomorrow is a neighborhood brunch, so I'll need to do some calorie burning after that. I'll let you all know how things go.

I ate too much yesterday, now feeling weighted down. I did have a great workout last night though. Doing better today, but we're planning to bbq tonight due to the warm weather. I promise myself that I won't overdo it......

hey gwal!! We both must be making our rounds right now.
Grats on your weight loss!!
This past week I have felt the same way as you. Scales finally budged. Now, I'm a happy jitter bug.

Thanks for stopping by, Ashy. It's nice to see that scale cooperate when you're really making an effort.

I have been down about the lack of progress over the past week or two. I have been working out faithfully and eating properly. I actually decided to take a step back on the workouts, and I think that helped. As you saw, the scale finally tipped in my favor yesterday. Last night, I ate a bit too much too late at a party, so I didn't weigh in this am...why torture myself?

I am trying to stay motivated. I have to remind myself that weight and body image are not worth getting depressed over. Life is too damned short! I know that it will all happen with time.
