Guideon's diary of change

48 kilometers! Doing my Rest of the World to American conversion, that puts it at around 30 miles! Wow. Didn't know the Netherlands was that long. You didn't invade Belgium, did you? :D

Bikes always ride so wonderfully when they get out of the shop. Unfortunately for my cheapo bikes, that rarely lasts more than halfway through the first trip. Maybe I need to invest in a better one this fall...

Lol, well actually I did come through Belgium on that ride, but that's because the "border" is 10 miles from my house. Which is a good thing, I don't have to drive very far to get cheap(er) gas.

Another ride today, 43 km.
Totals in July:

Running: 105 km
Cycling: 303 km

Also walked a bit, like 30 km total.

Gonna venture a slow, short run one these days, see how the old knee is gonna to hold up...

30 DS and all Jilliane's workouts are HORRID on the knees. I was 140 some pounds doing them, and 25 years old with no knee problems and they killed my knees!!!

pfft feels like the scales are trolling me this week.
here's what it gave me from monday till today:
199.8 - 202.8 - 200.8 - 202.0

Back to weighing in once a week, can't make heads or tails out of this.
But it looks like I get to break the 200 mark again

Today and tomorrow I'm gonna take it easy, it's gonna be hot :coolgleamA:

Damn those trolling scales.
Stick to it!

It's going to be hot here also. I will go out for a walk as i have thing to do but not looking forward to the heat

You're pretty darn amazing with that riding! I know I would not have the stamina to do anything close to that! I should really look into getting a bike though. I used to love riding as a kid before I got all out of shape. It might be a great way to add some variety to the workout.

Oh, and I hear you about the scale fluctuations. They are very frustrating for sure. I choose to weigh in daily as it just makes me feel better to have trends recorded. It's helping me to learn what I should and shouldn't eat, how late I should be eating, etc. It's not for everyone though so if you feel more comfortable weighing in once a week, then that's what you should do! :)

Yeah when I started I did weigh in every day, but then it was easy to loose weight (had plenty to loose) so it was a motivator
Now I don't anymore, because of this very thing, when loosing became harder and I gained an ounce I started thinking back to what I eat and when, and tried to come up with a culprit. Little bit too much of an obsession for me, so I went to a weekly weigh-in. Last week was a bad week so I wanted so how I did, and started hopping on those infernal scales every day.
Lesson learned :)

My knees are feeling good, quitting 30ds might have actually helped there.
Can't wait to go running, but not tomorrow, it's supposed to get like 36 here (97-ish in Fahrenheit), definitely not running weather ...

This is so me but i still weigh in EVERY day! Need to get out of the habit and stop focusing on numbers.

You must be losing with all the exercise you do. You got nothing to worry about.

:hurray: out running this morning. Man, that felt good.
Did half an hour just to see how everything felt. Ended up doing 5,5 km. Knee was fine, bit stiff but was to be expected. Now let's see how it feels tonight and tomorrow. If it's all good I'm gonna start up a new running schedule, bit less distances than before though. Need to remember it's "only" a 10 KM race in 29 days, not a marathon or something.

Thanks guys, no pirate legs today, so I'm guessing my knee is going in the right direction.

last training on the bike before my round-trip to my parents next week.
Was so nice to be out today, beautiful weather. Bit crowded here and there on the bike paths but really didn't bother me too much.
Let out the speed-junkie in me today, so a few personals bests today.
Among which a new hour record: 30,19 km. Pretty proud of that one :)
