Guideon's diary of change

Good job with the biking! I've tried it and could never get into it, so good on you. :D

Hope you manage to get some sleep tonight.

Hello Guideon, thanks for stopping by on my diary. I Just read a bit of yours, starting from July 18.

Good job on the 45, 48 and 43 Km rides!
Also, don't worry about the fluctuating weight, is most likely water.

I'm glad your knees are better but you gotta keep them safe! :smash:
If i understood right, you are planning on participating on a 10 Km race? -If so-, Good luck!

I hope you can get some good sleep and your sleeping patterns come back to normal.

Have a nice week, keep those knees safe and good luck! :)

yeah, the 10 km race is coming up real fast, really looking forward to that.
I probably should go back to bed, try to get some sleep before I have to get back to work :ack2:

Sorry about your sleeping troubles. Been there and done that. It's not fun. I hope your night goes better tonight.

That's a loss over 4 lbs, wow. One of the best weeks I've ever had.
Plus a new milestone, I'm under 90 kg for the first time in god knows how long :D

Yesterday went running, intervaltraining. Was a very good one, tried out some different paces in different intervals and see what my HRM was doing at the different paces. Helped me a lot for my 10 k race, to determine what pace I should start at.

2 more days to my big bicycle weekend, can't wait :)

Did a bike-run-bike combo today, 8 km bike ride, 5,5 km run (approx, GPS couldn't keep up, because of the dense leafy canopy in the woods where I was running) and 8 km bike ride back home.

Plotting out a route for my bike ride tomorrow now.
figures to be around 85 km :)

Congrats on the milestone and the impressive workout distances. That's some serious cycling you're doing. I'm assuming you're not going anywhere so remote that there isn't assistance nearby should you have a technical mishap with the bike?

It's the Netherlands, there's no way you can go anywhere without being only a few miles away from any form of civilization or cellphone coverage. Plus I'm packing a few spare tubes and some basic tools, so I should be able to tinker my way out of any minor mishap, should my bike break down

Good points brought up by MrVee. I'm glad you're that knowledgeable to go prepared. I say that seriously because to be honest I'm not one who would think ahead like that. LOL

Thanks Brawny!
Went pretty well.
On the way to my parents I had slight wind in the back, so that was really smooth.
Ended up doing 88 km, with an avg of 29 km/h.
Next day on the way back took a different route, slightly shorter, but still did 81 km. Little bit slower 26,5 km/h, due to the wind picking up and working against me.

So did over 160 km this weekend, and burned almost 5000 cals doing it, yay :D

oh forgot to tell:

On Saturday, a deer crossed my path, just a few yards in front of my bike...
That was kind of scary, because if it had hit me, I would have had at least some broken bones.
Luckily it didn't, and it was a majestic sight :)
