Guideon's diary of change

I got a remark today on my FB, a friend mentioned I was "the same person you were back in '94".
Was a triumphant moment, but also a little bit sad, took me back to those hefty years between then and now.
But still, hapiness :)

Another double day today, Jillian in the morning, and a 53 km bike ride in the afternoon.
Tomorrow another date with Jillian in the morning, and an running interval training later

Thats why I called my thread "Brawny's Time Machine" I am attempting to turn back the clock and return to fitter skinnier times.
Good job on returning to 1994!

Yes Don, come over to the dark side, you'll love it :)

out running again tonight, for the first time I surpassed the 10 km mark. So I know I can do that in 50 days time, when I'm doing a 10 km race in my own town. Plenty of time to work on my running skills so I can post a good time.

It's.... well, insane really.
It's really hard work, but also very rewarding.
And then just when you think: I got this it's time for phase 2, which is even harder :)
But I felt great doing it, it's a real good feeling of accomplishment.
I'm sure you'll love it.

erm well, no..
You have to include proof of purchase, which I don't have (if you know what i'm saying) to get a shirt.
Didn't think they were selling the program here in the Netherlands. Later on I found out that they did, but it's through some home-shopping channel, which is really expensive.
Think the (complete) program is something like $120 in the US, they charge over €200 here, talking about Insane...

So no shirt. I do like the idea of the shirt, makes you feel like you're part of the "family", but on the other hand I don't need a shirt to know I really left it all out there on my living-room floor :)

already got my 30 day shred level 1 exercise in for the day.
Now I just have to survive work,a nd I can go running again.. Can't wait :p

Weight is fluctuating a bit this week form 201,4 to 199.2 back up to 201.4. Can't be bothered too much about it, although I'd rather not be above 200 it's no reason to panic.

Did another 8 km run tonight.
Tomorrow a real test, my schedule calls for a long run of 1h 45 min. Never been pas the hour as far as running is concerned, but as long as I don't push too much I should be alright.
I'm honestly don't know how far I'm gonna go, so I have a hell of job picking a route for tomorrow, making sure time doesn't run out on me too far from home (or the car, was thinking of going trailing)

I bought my sons p90x on eBay....same type deal...nice job on the running...sounds like a positive addiction!

Your runs are amazing. I hope to do the c25k once my treadmill is up and running. Nowhere near as good as what you're doing thou. :)

Hey, I just started back up on here and saw your diary. What are you training for? A half marathon? Marathon? Just running for the heck of it?

I did a program with the Running Room a long time ago (it's like the C25k program) and it was great. Now I of course wouldn't be able to do it. I don't even think I could run one minute anymore! I plan on getting back into it once the baby is older and I can get out of the house!

I have a running room...I run from my recliner to the fridge and back in less than one commercial...har har...Hey, who threw that tomato at me?

Lol @ Brawny

Hey Risty, I just started for the heck of it, but pretty soon I found myself signed up or commiting to races.
Next two races are 10 k, after those we'll see. I'll be on vancation a few times after that, so my trainingschedule will be less
Allready agreed to running a HM in the spring of 2014, but maybe I'll even do one before that, see as it's going pretty well so far.

Today I did a 15k run, which was awesome, but had some problems. I ended up in some different places than I had planned, which was odd. Can't possibly have anything to do with my mapreading skills, right? :p
Also some problems with my gps/Hr combo, so today I learned how to merge GPX files.
Apart form that, awesome as stated before..
