hehe congrats on losing that pound. Do remember though to take measurements as often as you weigh in. You can loose inches before you lose lbs and that shows a more accurate view on how your body is changing.

Looks like you're adjusting to a newer diet quite well.
 
Good morning everyone! It's a beautiful October day here and I'm energized and ready to start this new beautiful day. :hurray: On that note, I just got up not to long ago, and i had my usual apples and cinnamon oatmeal with blueberries, and herbal tea ( I need to get me some green tea). I'm debating about whether or not to go to the gym today, I worked out 4 days this week and I'm happy with that, and I'm feeling rather sore today from the strength training, so we'll see what happens I guess. I'll update more as the day goes on, I hope all your days are as beautiful as mine here :)
 
Lunch: tuna sandwhich on oatnut bread, 4 orange wedges

No gym today or tomorrow, getting back into it on Monday
 
So I see that alot of people have written down their workout plan of attacks on here, so I thought I would do the same. I'd really like some input to see if this is a good plan or not :) (keep in mind that this is just to start with)

Monday: 30 minutes elliptical training, upper body strength training (push-ups, various arm exercises with a 20 or 30 pound dumb-bell, arm machines, crunches and various ab exercises, stretching

Tuesday: 30 minutes elliptical training, lower body strength training (squats, lunges, leg machines, stretching)

Wednesday: Double Duty Cardio (1 hour of cardio including 30 minutes on elliptical, 15 minutes jogging on the treadmill, 15 minutes on the bike)

Thursday: Same as Monday

Friday: Same as Tuesday

Saturday: Same as Wednesday

Sunday: REST DAY

Now this is just assuming that I can make it to the gym 6 days a week, but if that's somehow unrealistic (I'm applying for jobs) and I can only go like 4 days a week, then maybe 2 out of the 4 days I could do cardio and full body workouts, and the other 2 days 1 hour of cardio or something, what do you all think?
 
Dinner: prime rib sandwhich on a hoagie bun, with peppers and onions, side salad with carrots, tomatoes, and onions, hidden valley light ranch dressing

Ughhh dinner wasn't that healthy but SO GOOD!! My dad is such an excellent cook, now if only I could get him to make healthier food for dinner :banghead:
 
WOOT WOOT I got on the scale this morning for my "official" weigh in and it read 172.6!! I know that it doesn't really mean I'm down another pound, but I'm still very very happy to see the 172 there even with the .6! I can't wait for another kick ass week this week!!! I'll update on food and activity as the day goes on.
 
Great job on the weight loss! TAKE IT!!!! And the workouts! You go! I have to get my butt in gear like you, but it just doesn't hold the same appeal as it used to. LOL

Anyway, CONGRATS! Keep it up!
 
Thank you all for for the encouraging replies, I appreciate them so much :) Well today has been an extremely lazy day. After my family left both me and my dad decided to take a nice looooooong nap in out bedrooms, and it felt really really good. I didn't sleep very well last night because I had to sleep on the floor (my dad slept in my bed while my aunt and uncle slept in my dads bed) so it felt so nice to sleep in my own bed. As far as food goes, my dad made these awesome BLT sandwhiches for breakfast/lunch on oatnut bread, and it was made with 3 strips of maple bacon, yellow tomatoes, lettuce, and mayo (the only sandwich I have mayo on) and I had a few tater tots with ketchup on the side. For a snack I just had some white cheddar pop corn (SO good and pretty healthy for you to!!) I don't know if I'll be having anymore to eat tonight, but I'm still kind of hungry so we'll see. I was looking forward to trying some of my brothers birthday cake tonight, but I don't know about that now lol. I can't wait to get back to regular schedule tomorrow, I'll have to have a super kick ass workout tomorrow to make up for that BLT.
 
Ughh well so much for not eating anything else today. For a "dinner" type thing I had 2 frozen pork egg rolls, some blueberries, 2 frozen pizza rolls, and to top it off, I finally gave in and had a very small piece of birthday cake and a spoon full of ice cream. Ughh I feel very bloated now, so I'm just going to drink tons of water in hopes of washing away at least some of this garbage in my body. :nopity: I can't wait to get back in the swing of things tomorrow! Your meals today look like mines. Hey, it happens...as long as we keep it moving and don't get stuck we are on the right track.

Good afternoon everyone!! I had a great workout at the gym today, I did the elliptical machine for 35 minutes (obviously my favorite machine lol) and I did my upper body strength training today, I did pretty much all of the arm machines available doing 3 sets, 12 reps. And then I did some ab exercises, 80 all together. Food today looks like this..

Breakfast: 1 banana, 1 cup of green tea (wasn't really hungry)

Lunch: 1 can of low sodium progresso chicken soup, 1 orange

Will report on snacks and dinner tonight :)

Wow I felt pretty hungry all of a sudden there, I think it's because of the lack of b-fast and I guess my body was really craving protein there from the workout. Still looking pretty good so far. From now on I'm going to try to log in my calories from the day here, so I guess I'll start with today. Lets see.....

Breakfast: 1 banana and 1 cup of green tea (100 cal)

Lunch: 1 can of progresso chicken soup (180 cal) 1 orange (80 cal)

snack: Dixie cup full of blueberries (20 cal?)

snack: handful of mixed nuts (200 cal?)

Dinner: TBA
 
Dinner: small portions of chicken and beef teriaki, chicken yakisoba, a spoonful of white rice, salad with sesame dressing, and another chicken dish I don't know the name of (from a teriaki restaurant obviously) uhhh.....600 cals??

Total for today: 1,180

Ughhh I feel like I've eaten to much today, even though I haven't even eaten the amount of calories I'm suppose to. Maybe I feel that way because when you eat healthier foods you can eat alot more and still not have alot of calories, while in some cases you can have alot less food than this but go way over your calories. But I think I'll still do 5 more minutes on the elliptical tomorrow just for my own sanity lol. Goodnight everyone!
 
Sexier...you are so on it about how the quality of food aspect. Isn't that crazy...when you eat good stuff you stay full when you eat crappy you can't get enough. I started reading this book by Dr. Oz...You on a Diet...it talked about how leptin triggers something or nother...okay, I never finished reading it but maybe you should give it a try.

Have you thought about buying a food scale...girl, it really helps me stay on track with knowing exactly how much of something I'm eating. Cause lemme tell'ya...if a serving is 85g of something I don't wanna be eating 75 and missing out on my extra 10g of food. lol I want it all.

Good morning everyone! I just got up and am having my usual bowl of apples and cinnamon oatmeal and my green tea. I'll be heading to the gym at about 10:30. I'm planning on doing a leg workout today and 35 mins of cardio. i'm feeling kind of tired today so wish me luck!

Mama: That is a very good point about the food scale. When I have my own job and am earning my own money I'll definitely consider it, it sounds like it would help me out a lot. I've seen Dr Oz a lot on Oprah, it's kind of creepy about how he knows absolutely everything there is to know about the human body, but he sure is a very intelligent man.

Good evening everyone! My workout today was really good, I did 40 minutes on the elliptical, and I did my leg workout (I did all the leg machines and squats, I have no idea what the machines are called, I'll have to find out tomorrow so I can give more specific reports). Eats today were really good to!

Breakfast: 1 packet of apples and cinnamon oatmeal with 1% milk and green tea (150 cal?)

Snack: orange (80 cal)

Lunch/dinner: 2 slices of round table pizza (1 slice of the mau zoui, 1 slice of the smokehouse) side salad with onions, red beans, a few croutons and sesame seeds, blue cheese dressing (uhh no ides on the cals, but I estimate around 800 cal?)

Total: 1,050 cal

Wow really low today, if I get hungry later on I'll be sure to have a nice healthy snack. I can't wait for the Biggest Looser tonight! Have a nice evening!
 
Good morning everyone. Ughh I'm not feeling very good this morning, I think it has something to do with TOM creeping up on me last night :ack2: (perfect timing, dang you mother nature lol) I hate it when I wake up with a queasy tummy, it makes me feel gross the rest of the day. But I'm still gonna drag my arse to the gym, today is DDC day (double duty cardio) so I hope I don' puke all over the place. Have a great day!
